Won't be back. Was looking for something in the neighborhood late that wasn't a burger and I could go through the drive through because I was in my pink penguin jammies already.. Best part of the meal was the salad and the breadstick. Ordered the fish dinner and a patty melt. Fish was oversized frozen Walmart fish sticks. Fries were under cooked and a cold soggy, oily mess. Bread on the patty melt was burnt and ruined the whole thing. Signs up saying fresh food -- ummm it was all frozen other than the salad. the salad that came with the fish was good and fresh And what really turned me off was that both line cooks were only half wearing their masks so the risk of covid was there. I grew up here in the AV in the 80's there is a lot of good eating here that can't be denied in high school I survived on a nother restraints chili fries but then I found doubly and for the last 20 years this has been my go to fast food best chili cheese fries in Nevada and Calif . Even though I moved away long ago, there's always a Doublz bag on the dining table when I'm back in the area to visit. Our obsession is with their FRIED ZUCCHINI. A standard order is a boatload of perfect cornmeal coated spears. So crunchy on the outside, tender within. They're even good at room temperature or cold! Comes with tubs of the best ranch dressing I've ever had. Typical greasy diner fare here. Overall, expect huge portions (the CHILI CHEESE FRIES ARE INSANE!), good quality, friendly service, and speedy orders even in the drive-thru. The past few months, even prior to the Covid-19 pandemic, we had noticed that there were some changes on how this restaurant made their food. First, the changes were small so we hung with them. Then, the quality of the food items took a severe DIVE. A week ago, I ordered the steak quesadilla and it was bare. Usually, it comes with pico de gallo, sour cream, and avocado salsa/sauce. In fact, the cashier ASKED me specifically when I placed the order if it was OK that the meal came with those condiments , and I said "of course." When I arrived home, there was NOTHING included on the quesadilla nor in the bag. Tonight, I hand the food ordered out to my family, pour drinks, get everyone situated, then sit down to eat. As I am eating, not only is the carne asada that I added to my chilli cheese fries seasoned with a lot of "stretched" ingredients, but I realize there is something wrong with the texture. A few months back, we noticed that the steak was softer and seasoned "differently" in the Philly Cheese steak sandwiches. They used to actually use seasoned STEAK, not minced mystery meat. Tonight I know why. I PAID for Carne Asada/steak, and what do I get? I get a MIXTURE of stretched ingredients, minced up (hopefully) steak meat, and diluted even more with GROUND BEEF! Fire! I usually go to the Palmdale location but was in Lancaster so I decided to stop in even after I read the not so good reviews. I went in to order. Order was taken right away. Cashier was friendly and nice. My food was ready in less than 4 minutes. I couldn't believe it that's why I didn't immediately go up and grab it. Figured it wasn't mine. Showed up at doublz tonight at 1030. Went through drive through. Older lady ( maybe late 50s early 60's) said how can I help you? I said, give me one min please. She told me they were closed. I spoke with Jorge over the phone he said he would refund the order and to come in. I drove to the store and showed him proof of the the purchase and they said they could not do anything for me. Do not order delivery from them! I placed an order of over $80 through their website for delivery. The order was canceled and I was given instructions to contact the store for my refund. They refused to give me my refund and stated I have to contact the delivery service. They are the delivery service and the email states to contact the restaurant for a refund. The store manager Andrea claims she cannot issue refunds but she's the manager. I will be filing fraud charges in the morning against this establishment. This place is good but was disappointed that we got the wrong food after going through the drive-thru. We drive a long way just to eat here because we love it. Long story short, they got my order right, but not my wife's. I originally ordered a breakfast burrito and she ordered a chorizo burrito, but instead, they gave her a sausage bacon burrito. Disappointed with this place. The burgers are nasty. The Works burger I got had an old avocado in it and the burger patties were almost cold. But I feel like it's a bit on the pricey side. $32 with tax just for these items which was a chicken dinner, kids meal chicken sandwich and btw none of this came with a drink and a pastrami sandwich only no fries. During my annual visit to Lancaster to visit my grandma, my family came across the Doublz restaurant. We wanted to try the full breakfast drive thru experience that Doublz offered. I'm mainly writing this review for the amazing customer service we had. We never got his name, but whoever worked drive thru in the morning on March 11, 2018 (younger light skinned male), was very patient and had an incredibly positive attitude throughout our order-to-window process. It was very refreshing to interact with someone so upbeat and it gave us a great start to our day. If management happens to read this, please give that employee the recognition he deserves for his hard work! Prices are fair but the to go order packaging made the food a little a little soggy.
