Finally tried Tommy's and I can't say I'm impressed. The restaurant itself is clean and has plenty of seating. The staff were friendly enough. I ordered the california burger and cheese fries. Maybe it was my bad thinking cheese fries would have liquid cheese, usually that's what cheese fries are. Instead I got 2 slices of american cheese on the side and some fries lol. It was so baffling I couldn't even be mad, I just laughed. I think I'm more offended that 2 slices of american cheese was a $2 up charge. I didn't eat the cheese but the fries weren't bad on their own. The burger was pretty good for the price. Not sure I'll come back, it's not the worst place but definitely don't order cheese fries lol (they shouldn't even be on the menu tbh). read more

I go to these off and on when I travel to the Inland Empire and they can be very good. But 2 nights ago I grabbed a California Burger+fries in Palmdale location and was terrifically disappointed. The fries were freshly made and good. The burger was not. It was cold and overshadowed by the gargantuan piece of lettuce that no doubt sapped any heat from that helpless little pattie. The bottom bun had the consistency of beef jerky and it was just-out-of-the-refrigerator cold. I also had a hell of a time helping the cashier understand my order. My mature voice on that old speaker inside must have sounded like LP scratching? I dunno, just a not so great dining experience. read more

I live in Baton Rouge now and have to take a vacation to get my Tommy's fix. I love their burgers! Service is always good they get their orders right and the food out quick! There was a ton of egg shells in my breakfast burrito. the service is also extremely slow.

Needs improvement in speed of service and paying attention. Hardly any customers but have many employees standing around socializing.

The food is amazing. I have the craving for their chili cheese burgers, and chili cheese fries. First time trying Tommy's anywhere. Was very disappointed. Ordered a double chili cheeseburger and it was nothing special. The patties are small and the chili isn't good. I am a huge fan of chili and this one sucks. The fries aren't great either. They are large and some not crispy. The best thing is their little yellow peppers. Those have some kick! The drive thru line was slow. The worst part of this whole experience was the price. $32 for 2 combos. Come on man. Oh yeah and they serve Pepsi products which I don't care for. This was my first time trying their food, and I was disappointed. I ordered a breakfast burrito when it was ready and employee gave me my order she only gave me a box with no lid and I asked her. Is this how you give your orders to go? She says yes. They just give out a small cardboard box with no lid. I really enjoy their burgers this is my favorite fast food restaurant in Palmdale. I don't like to wait at In-N-Out to order or for my food. This is much faster. The only negative is they have limited parking. I especially like ordering a burger without a bun for a low carb. It's much better with the chili boat. read more

We have a theory that if a place has a long line then it must be worth trying. Well, this place busted that theory. Since the line was so long we went inside to order. We tried to order a chilli cheese dog and chilli cheese burger. When I asked that the chilli cheese dog be made into a combo the cashier asked "do you want chilli and cheese on your fries?" to which I replied "no". Somehow, the cashier gave use chilli cheese fries but deleted the chilli cheese dog. So, we roll with it. The problem here is that none of the food we got tasted good. The chilli is thick and flavorless and everything is very messy. Which made us wonder - how did this place ever last? They started in 1946. They must have had good food to last this long, right? The portion sizes are huge and they have deals almost every week on the app for affordable prices on delicious food. Customer service isn't the greatest some of the cashiers get attitude when requesting ketchup-onions-chilis. Love the burgers but sometimes cold and makes it gross.
