This is a great place with friendly fast service. Was in town for one day. You can bring family and friends and enjoy with ease!

Don't get me wrong, the food is good, very good in fact. That being said, I've noticed that the place had not been dusted in quite some time. The walls by the tables have dust, dirt & left over food crumbs on them. Called in advance to ask if they could accommodate a party of 10-12, not only did they make the process extremely easy, the staff was also inviting and friendly. They turned on the football game for us and even put on the surround sound. We had an exclusive area for our party while also maintaining and abiding covid precautions! The food was fresh and delicious! The service was quick and attentive. Whether we asked for extra sauce, silverware, or plates the staff was happy to bring it right over. Don't waste your money! I went in when they weren't busy middle of the afternoon ordered a simple 10" pizza. I waited for it. When they gave it to me it wasn't even hot, very very mediocre place, very dated and terrible quality. So many better places to get pizza in San Angelo. Over priced also $12.95 for 2 ingredients, $6.95 for same size and same ingredients at Cici Pizza. Cici is 10 times better and when pick it up at least it is fresh and hot! If you really want a good pizza opt for Cork & Pig's Wood-fired Pizza. Stay away from Double Dave's if don't want to be disappointed! read more

I've ordered from this location in years past and have always had a good experience. This time was no exception. I ordered The Works deep dish pizza and pepperoni rolls and it was all delish! The ingredients were fresh and piping hot considering it was delivery. It arrived exactly when they said it would which was surprising since I ordered during dinner rush and they had to drive about 10-15 min to get it to me. The only complaint I have is that they put the ranch and red sauce in the box with the pepperoni rolls (piping hot too). Both items are perishable so by the next day the extras had turned and had to be tossed. Still, it hit the spot on the day of delivery and was great for lunch the next day as well! read more

WOW what a neat little joint we came across on our recent visit to San Angelo. Dave the owner is a super nice guy and we made sure we told him about our great visit before we left. We came upon this place by accident one day when I was craving pizza. They have the best pizza buffet i have ever seen. I tend not to participate in the pizza buffets because lets face it... its usually not the best. But Double Dave's gave me a whole new opinion of that. Not only was the selection on the buffet outstanding... we were sitting right next to it and was noting how often they were refreshing it. They kept bringing out pizza after pizza and making sure it was hot and fresh and the variety was impressive too!! The staff was at the buffet so often that we just couldnt help but be fascinated by it comparing it to any other we have ever seen or eaten at. The salad bar was a nice too!! I will say I would be giving this a 5 star review but we also ordered hot wings and I did NOT enjoy them at all. So avoid the hot wings but definitely go to Double Daves.... get the pizza buffet and you will be very happy!! read more

The pizza and salad bar were both good. I ordered the vegan specialty without cheese, and with extra sauce and lots of vegetables. They even let me bring in nutritional yeast to sprinkle on it. Unfortunately they were out of honey whole wheat crust; hopefully next time. Would love to see them offer tofu or tempeh as a topping option. read more

We ordered Double Daves on the reccomendation of a friend and it was pretty good for pizza. We ordered the regular pepperoni pan pizza and the deep dish pepperoni pizza with Garlic Cheese bread. The regular pizza was ok nothing spectacular, but the the deep dish was delicious and the cheese bread was good and we paid a decent price for all of it as well considering that they delievered kinda far. I would reccomend the deep dish and only eat the regular crust if you just dont care about pizza Overall was impressed and will order from here again read more

I had the deep dish pizza with pepperoni and green peppers. We also had it cheese Stix. The pizza had a deep dish crust it wasn't quite Chicago style but it was tasty. The dough was fresh and crispy on the edges and soft and delicious in the middle. The cheese was the right amount and the toppings were great and fresh. The service was speedy and incredibly friendly. if you are looking for a nice atmosphere for pizza I would recommend coming to double Daves. if you have children I have an arcade with a few games and they have a salad bar if you want to stay healthy. the pizza is way better than any of the chain restaurants in town. read more

We ordered from them tonight after seeing their ad in one of the local coupon leaflet thing. Anyways, we'd never ordered from them, but now that I see where they are on the map, we almost went there once before. We ordered online and the food was delivered to our door within 20-25 minutes (although on the website they didn't give us a wait time). We ordered the Buffalo Chicken Pizza and a Cherry Strudel. My husband and I have tried DD pizza twice and i give both times 5 stars! The pizza is cooked perfectly, not burnt or undercooked. San Angelo is the first place that I have seen Double Daves before and wow, they are great. We go here for work functions every chance we get they are so awesome. I hate to compare them to CiCis pizza but they are a buffet like them, the main difference is that Double Daves is out freaking standing! If you make it here before October ends you have to try their Octoberfest pizza. It is delicious beyond belief!!! read more

I love the food from Double Dave's, every town we have lived in, in Texas has had a Double Dave's . I regularly order the Philly Steak Stromboli which is delicious. Over the years we have tried a lot of different things off of the menu and the food is always prepared with fresh ingredients which you can tell. The food normally arrives hot and quickly. Today I placed an order for delivery and am very disappointed. I get an email that the food is out for delivery and 38 minutes later it shows up cold and the dressing for the salad was missing. Went a couple days ago for lunch and noticed the guys that were making pizza weren't wearing beard nets (beards were a decent length) or gloves. My boyfriend found a hair in his pizza I lost my appetite after seeing that. The pizza was ok nothing that stood out from the rest. Tables were dirty. I really wish I could give no stars for this place. Let me start by saying we go there right at 5pm when the buffet starts so the pizza just came out hot. I do not understand why people are saying the buffet is good or really good ...it was terrible, they had only 4 different pizza's and all but one had pepperoni.so they really were not much different...couldn't they think of other meat to use??? Ok the salad bar is gross please look closely at the lettuce , not only was it not clean but it dried out and old you can tell it came out of bag and the toppings looked less than desirable. The dessert wasn't out and had to ask where it was..and then it was were horrible...the chocolate chip pizza didn't even look or taste cooked enough and the cherry dessert was fried..gross. Also if you look closely at the floor and such you can tell this place is dirty. The man that waited on us or should I say rang us up for the buffet had a filthy old t-shirt on. If you want good , decent pizza here then I recommend Cork and Pig or CiCi's if you want a buffet.
