Arrived at Jason's, and there was a line more than halfway to the door. This might take a while because I noticed only one person taking orders. Before you know it, I was next to order. Then I saw a hand wave above the cash register, motioning me to come over. That's when I noticed they have three areas open to take orders, and two of them are, let's say, not very tall people. Their heads were lower than the cash registers. You could not see them, but that line disappeared really quickly. Anyway, I placed my order, 100% Whole Grain Wheat Bread Grilled Cheese Sandwich with Soup, and a Diet Dr Pepper drink. The lady replied back my order and asked what kind of soup, Tomato Basil or Bla,Bla,Ble,Ble,Blaw. I asked her to repeat that, and she said, Tomato Basil or Bla,Bla,Ble,Ble,Blaw. I said, I'm sorry, could you repeat the last part. She said, Bla,Bla,Ble,Ble,Blaw. I then said, Tomato Basil Soup will be fine. For the life of me, I could not understand what kind of soup Bla,Bla,Ble,Ble,Blaw was, and I don't know if that sounded good or not. But I do know Tomato Basil Soup is a good soup. FYI, the 100% Whole Grain Wheat Bread has two-slices of Cheddar Cheese and one-slice (in the center) of Muenster Cheese. That really sounds gooeygoodness to me. I grabbed my cup and number, filled my cup with Diet Dr Pepper (the Texas Coke), and located a table. This place is really busy with only a couple tables open. When one table is available, their Table-Cleaner is right there preparing it for the next customer. That is Service at its Best. Nicely done Jason. In a couple of minutes, my order arrived, and the Tomato Basil Soup was served in a Kettle Bowl style with Chunks of Tomato throughout and melted Chedder Cheese on top. Not what the picture showed on-line, and that looked delicious, and this looks better - Love It. However, the Grilled Cheese Sandwich is cut into small quarters. This 100% Whole Grain Wheat Bread is one-tiny-slice, but nicely toasted. Peeked inside for the cheese, and it's only a small dab of yellow and white. This is not a "Brylcreem Commercial" where a 'Little Dab Will Do Ya', it's a Grilled Cheese Sandwich, and I'm looking for the Cheese. I do not see how this could be three-slices, which doesn't even go to the edge of the toast. The Tomato Basil Soup is absolutely Delicious and Flavorful, and loving those chunks of tomatoes. Love That Soup. The 100% Whole Grain Wheat Bread is toasted perfectly and has the perfect crunch in every bite. Once in a while, you could actually taste a little cheese, but not often. The only thing I was disappointed in was their Grilled Cheese Sandwich with very little cheese. Other than that, I enjoyed my lunch and loved their Tomato Basil Soup. When I left, there was still a line, and it was moving pretty fast. Now I'm wondering what that Bla,Bla,Ble,Ble,Blaw soup was and how it tasted. Quick service, kind service, fast ordering and short time for food to hit the table. Even got to talk to the owner of 21 years Chef Nino. What a great guy! What amazing food! The Chicken Cacciatore is fantastic. One of my all time favorite Italian dishes and they nail it. The bread bits and house made marinara are spot on as well. My wife loves her Joe's salad and raved about the house dressing. My son crushed what he could of the lasagna and ate the rest later on that night. I can't wait to come back for a lunch special now. We ordered waters to start while looking over the menu and enjoying a Basket of their Fresh Signature Garlic Rolls, which are shaped like a bagel (or donuts) and are Very Garlickylicious - love the Marinara Sauce. We took some time trying to decide what to order because everything we have had here has been Italianliciousness at it's Finest - Joe's knows how to Italian. When our server returned we ordered. My Wife is having their "Eggplant Rollatini"; Stuffed with Ricotta Cheese & Spinach, comes with Spaghetti and Sauce - also ordered a 'Tossed Salad'; Lettuce, Cabbage, Tomato, Cucumber with House Italian Dressing. I am having the ""Beef Tortellini"; with Alfredo Sauce (other choice was Meat Sauce), also a Tossed Salad with Ranch Dressing. We debated on ordering a Pizza but will wait until next time. While we waited for our food we enjoyed those Garlic Rolls. They are loaded with Garlic and that Marinara Sauce is Marinaraliciousness. Soon the basket of Garlic Rolls was empty and our Server (forgot her name - me bad) brought us another basket & marinara sauce. The second basket was half gone when our Salads arrived - served in a bowl with a large container of dressing on the side. The Salad is Fresh, Cold, Crisp and Delicious. My Wife really liked their House Italian Dressing and the Ranch is really creamy and flavorful - nicely done Joe (he moved to Dallas but the Chef in the kitchen is continuing his deliciousness). Soon our main Entrees arrived and both dishes look amazinglylicious. Joe's Italian cares about what they serve and they are meticulous on how every dish is presented - their Presentation of Deliciousness is Spot-On. It tells the customer that their Dish is Delicious before they even try it - and they want to come back. We have been to Joe's several times and every time it's been some of the Best Italian we have had - and we eat a lot of Italian - Joe's does it right. My Wife's Eggplant Rollatini is Huge and stuffed with a lot of Spinach & Ricotta - and she absolutely LOVED every bite she had. She said it was Uniquely Creativeliciousness (or something like that) and LOVED it. I tried it and she's right - it was Uniquelylicious (or something like that). I also had some of her Spaghetti and it was prepared perfectly. My 'Beef Tortellini' was Creamylicious with lots of Beef stuffed Tortellini - and served Hot from the Kitchen. I ate all of mine, except for a bite I gave to my Wife and she said it was Delicious. My Wife took some of hers home for another day - and also one of their Garlic Rolls. We both are stuffed and wanting to come back for more of their Creativeliciousness that you only get at Joe's Italian Restaurant. Delicious, a bit of spiciness with the baked jalepeño on the pizza and red onion and bbq sauce. Try it with a side of ranch dressing. Great atmosphere for families, with friends or even in a date. The lake view was awesome and very enjoyable. The service was fast and friendly. Food came out hot so wait a few minutes before biting into it if you can wait. When I asked about it, James was kind enough to explain to me that many of the people were in the other two rooms where they had private parties going on. James was always there to make sure my needs were taken care of. He advised me on the best tasting wine, the various meals that were very popular, and made sure that I had everything I needed. The music atmosphere was not Italian, but rather something of the 60s, making me think I had gone back in time. Likewise, the prices were preferably affordable, priced much like in the 60s! In other words, I didn't pay an arm and a leg for my meal. It was well priced! AND the food was well worth it! I will dine here again! P. S. ... and I will insist on my waiter being "James"! After querying him I found he walked to the restaurant that day ... you could never tell it by his dress, and his kind demeanor, but I'm guessing that he's starting life over again. Tablecloths but not stuffy atmosphere and definitely not crazy prices. Food was lovely in presentation and taste. Seating was nicely spread apart so we could have a conversation. The bar is gorgeous and we may come back to just have a nice happy hour spot that is a bit more intimate. The service was on top of everything. We had several people taking care of us and it seemed very intentional. They knew what the other was doing. We had a lovely conversation with the brother of the owner who explained why we love this place so much - they are related to restaurants in the Dallas area that we absolutely love!
