"SUPPORT LOCAL" We Love to 'Support Local' and we did that last night for Dinner. But living in San Angelo you actually 'Support Local' everywhere you go in town - because outside of town is nothing but nothing - until you hit one of those small towns 83 miles away - or so. But, we actually did 'Support Local' by going to a small Mom&Pop place in our neighborhood called "Trophy's Pizza". It has Very High Ratings and we like that. Joe and Nancy ordered our Pizza and left to pick it up. Here is what they ordered; A "16inch" Half 'Meatball Marinara' and Half 'Pepperoni' Pizza with lots of Cheese. Also a dozen Wings and a Garden Salad. It didn't take them very long to return and this very impressive Pizza is served 'Pipping-Hot'. It does look good, as do those Wings and a Beautiful Salad. We grabbed out Best China (okay, paper plates because our Kitchen is not finished yet), picked out slices, wings and salad and began a Tastylicious Experience. My first slice was the Meatball Marinara and it was Delicious with a Softly but Meaty Meatball and some really good sauce - and of course the Cheese makes it even better. The Wings are Mighty-Meaty and Flavorful. The Salad is Fresh, Cold and Crisp with 'Just-Right' picked Tomatoes and Huge slices of Mushrooms - that's a good salad. My Second slice was the Pepperoni and it was Tastylicious with lots of Pepperoni under the Cheese. My Wife and Joe enjoyed theirs also and were very pleased with the Mighty-Meaty Wings - and there is not a lot of leftovers. My Wife said that Trophy's is a small place that was extremely busy with lots of customers picking up their orders - which means they are strongly supported by the neighborhood. Check out a 'Mom&Pop' place near you and 'Support Local' - Ya Gonna Luv It - Thank You Joe, this was a great choice - we all enjoyed some Mom&Pop Deliciousness. The pizza was good, but the customer service was amazing. I ordered pepperoni with mushrooms and spinach. It was cooked very well, the crust had a nice crunch to it. My only critique is that there was very few ingredients on each slice. All in all I give it 4 stars. read more

It has been awhile since I have posted a review on this establishment. I honestly thought they had closed down. I had a friend tell me that they are still in business. I checked it out and sure enough they are...I highly recommend this place.... I placed my order with Mr. Josh and asked if Mr. Campbell was still the owner. I was happy to learn he is still the owner. I my humble opinion it is the greatest pizza in town and their wings are fantastic. Are there drumsticks or whatever you call them. Ordered for the first time two weeks ago. Staff were friendly when I went in and it took about 20 minutes to get the pizza. Overall, great taste and I loved the crust. My only very small issue was the Canadian bacon - they were buried under the cheese and were small round discs. Some were a little fatty. Not your usual Canadian bacon. Heard great things about the pizza, being that we love pizza we try all pizza places at least once. We saved the best for last! I specifically ordered extra cheese and extra sauce and they came through for my order. Hubby is from Chicago so he's a great pizza reviewer lol he gave it a 7.5 sauce had good flavor. Got a cheese oizza and buffalo wings. The wings were okay. Would prefer some meatier wings but the flavor was decent. Not the best I've ever had but not bad. The cheese pizza was pretty good. Would prefer a little sweeter sauce but overall pretty good. The location itself looks pretty bad. As there don't seem to be a lot of options in San Angelo, Trophy's may rate the reviews it's received, locally. In my experience, Trophy's puts out an edible product I would have to rate as "Meh". I've definitely had worse. But I've certainly had better. Pizza was a medium pepperoni, mushroom and black olive, hand tossed. Crust held up well, but the sauce was light and flavorless. Toppings were ok, not a large amount, but not skimpy. Fresh, not canned mushrooms. Was a tad on the well done side, but not overcooked. Was just lacking in overall flavor. read more

Happened to yelp pizza places in San Angelo and this place popped up, And I'm glad it did. I like to take my clients food that isn't from what they're normally used to (chain restaurants) so I grabbed 6 large pizzas and it was a hit with them. Tried Trophy's the other day for the first time since we moved to San Angelo. When you first drive up, you come to a old building with multiple businesses connected. Don't let the outside deter you. Walk in and everyone greets you and is very appreciative of the business. I didn't get a name but the main guy that greeted me started small talk and asked how my day was. Very unexpected for a busy pizza place. They are pick up or delivery only, no seating inside. We got a large sausage and pepperoni with a side of wings. Pizza was a tad greasy but it was still delicious. And it heated up the next day perfectly and was still delicious. The wings were way bigger than I expected. Unfortunately they only had bbq flavor that day but they were still great. Can't wait for a craving for pizza again because we will definitely go to Trophy's. This pizza is delivery or carry out only. The guys working were very hospitable. After saying we would wait in the car, they said they would bring it out to us. We ordered a pepperoni pizza, cheese bread, and cinnamon sticks. Everything was good and fresh. The pepperoni was not too greasy as some are. There were plenty of toppings. The cheese sticks were covered in gooey cheese and the marinara for dipping was good. The cheese sticks were dropping with hot butter and covered in cinnamon sugar. I saw the reviews and decided to give it a shot.....Let me say this if you are in town and spending 25 dollars for a large pizza from a chain instead of getting a pizza from here YOU ARE INSANE!! The staff was very friendly from the time they took my order on the phone to the time i picked up my order. This pizza is AWESOME and 13.50 for a large!? Come on you cannot beat that!! This pizza trumps the chains all day!! If there was anything for me to pick at and trust me it's nit pickin it's the ranch. I didn't like the ranch and honestly it took away from the pizza anyway! We had a craving for pizza on out way home after a long road trip. This place was highly rated on that giant web search page everyone uses. The ratings were very well deserved! We called our order in and it was literally coming out of the oven when we arrived. The building and it's surroundings aren't much to brag about. They have a futon and a giant tv to sit and wait if you have to wait. We only ordered two pies. One pepperoni and the other pepperoni and jalapeño, both well done. The jalapeños were diced not sliced. This made for a bite of jalapeño in every bite! The crust was crisp. Sauce was savory. The pepperoni was a good quality. Cheese was perfectly melted. The staff was friendly and polite. The only thing I can say should be addressed is the young man cutting the pizzas and putting them in boxes was running his hands through his hair. He didn't have a hat or hair net on. Nor was he wearing gloves. I think it's important not to be playing with your hair while cutting up people's food. Also if you're handling food maybe gloves should be used. I know we are in the middle of a pandemic and everyone is paranoid so it may put people at ease to see food handlers wearing some PPE. read more

Flavors and price 4-star easily. Food quality is ok but not great. Don't get the wings to go. Ours had a thick gooey fat all over them. I've never seen fat in a wing like that.
