They are the same owners, Babiashs family, that owned the "Old Central Firehouse Pizzeria & Taproom", and operates the same. They closed the Central Firehouse in May of this year, and the building with the B&B upstairs is For Sale.
We know the Lakehouse Pizzeria is going to be busy on a Friday night, so we made sure we arrived around 5 pm or so. Found a parking spot, walked in, and there were already a lot of customers here, but only around 6 in line. The Lakehouse is set up to order at the counter what you want to eat, pay for your meal, and obtain an RFID Card if you want to drink any of the 20 beers they have on tap. The RFID Card is for you to use to choose and pour your own beer, being charged by the ounce, depending on your choice. At the end of your stay, you check out at the cash register and pay your balance. Their prices for their Draft Beers are not bad at all, very fair, and they have some unique choices. We didn't obtain the RFID Card because we ordered sodas, Diet Dr Pepper for me, and a Diet Zero for Nancy.
Monzeratt took our order at the cash register. My Wife went with the "Build Your Own" and chose Pepperoni & Cheese. I ordered their "Captain" (Supreme), Fresh Mozzarella, Pizza Sauce, Pepperoni, Sausage, Hamburger, Black Olives, Mushrooms, Green Bell Pepper & Red Onion. Their Pizzas are Handcrafted Stone-Baked 10" Pizzas. They also offer Salads, Sharables, and Desserts. They give you a number to place on your table, and when your order is ready, they bring it out to you. We chose our drinks and looked for a table near the windows that overlook the Lake.
They are not crowded as yet, but the noise is loud. It's just the two of us, and we had to just about talk in each other's ears to hear what we were saying. Soon our Pizzas arrived, and they were beautifully presented. My Wife's pizza is completely covered in small, glistening Pepperoni, and the aroma makes you hungry. My "Captain" Pizza is very colorful with an aroma that melts in your mouth - how that is possible is beyond me, but it does. We noticed that there is no Grated Parmesan to sprinkle on the Pizzas, maybe you have to ask for it, but that's okay, they look like they don't need any.
We both picked up a slice, took our first bite, and YES, they are one Mighty Good Tasting Pizzas. My Wife said that hers has a Very Fresh Spicy taste to it, and I agree because she let me have a slice. My "Captain" Pizza is loaded with flavor and absolutely delicious. We both agree that the Crust on these is superior to other Pizza places. Even with them being only a 10" Pizza, they are filling. Mine due to the amount of ingredients they pile on. We both were unable to finish our Pizzas and brought some home. Which I like because this Pizza will go great with a couple of fried eggs on top, with busted yolks.
Lakehouse Pizzeria has a main dining area that is filled with round tables for 4 people. There is also an adjoining room with longer tables for larger parties, along with tables for 4, and the 20 Tabs of Draft Beer. This room also has a counter area where they sell buckets of Beer and Frozen Cocktails. Nice touch. The large, covered patio in the back overlooks the Lake with fans helping to cool off the customers. Lakehouse Pizzeria & Taproom offers you just about everything you need for an enjoyable evening out with friends or your spouse.
We enjoyed our time there, except for the noise, but that comes with a very well-known place on a Friday night. When we left, the place was packed with around 12 people in line to place their order. Our Tummies are full, and we had a Wonderful Night Out Celebrating our "178th Month-i-versary". Love You Baby, Bunches & PizzaMunches.
