I surprised my Wife by saying why don't we eat at Texas Roadhouse. Lots of cars & trucks parked here, but we found a spot. Walked in and was greeted by the Hostess area with lots of smiles. The Hostess then asked us if we wanted to sit at the Bar. They don't often ask this, but my Wife and I love sitting at the Bar in just about any restaurant. We took her up on it and sat at the Bar. Our Bartender/Server is Jocelyn, and she brought over a basket of their Famous House made Rolls with Cinnamon Butter. She asked us if we wanted anything to drink and an appetizer. My Wife ordered a glass of water, and I went with their Long Island Iced Tea. My Wife is going with their Appetizer "Killer Ribs"; Basket of Award Winning Ribs served with Steak Fries and their BBQ Sauce. I am having their "Bacon Cheeseburger"; Half Pound of Seasoned USDA Choice Ground Beef, prepared as requested (chose Med-Rare), served with Crispy Strips of Bacon, American Cheese, Lettuce, Tomatoes, Onion all on a Toasted Texas Sized Bun. Comes with Steak Fries and a Pickle Spear. Also requested a side of Mayo. We both LOVE Texas Roadhouse and most always get one of their Steaks. I also love their "Roadkill", which, in my opinion is the Best Roadkill around. If you haven't tried this dish, do so - Ya Gonna Luv It. We have been enjoying Texas Roadhouse for many a year, but I have never ordered their Burgers of any kind and looking forward to my first one. My Wife and I toasted with our drinks. Texas Roadhouse makes a Very Fine Long Island Iced Tea, and we (or this time, me) ordered one. It's very smoooooth with a nice flavor. We also devoured those Four Large Fresh Hot Rolls, and the butter just melted all within. They have a Just-Right Sweetness in every bite and melt in your mouthliciousness. It's taking a while for our food order because this place is now packed. I think everyone that came just before us ordered at the same time, but that's okay because I have one of their Long Island Iced Teas - and sitting at the Bar with my Baby. Jocelyn came over to us often and chatted while the full bar of customers was enjoying their drinks and food. At this point, I gave her the "Dollar-Bow-Tie" Award for going 'above-n-beyond' the norm. She loved it and is saving it in a safe place. She also has a very cute smile, and we both love her long hair. I can say that because my Wife said it first. See guys, you wait until your girlfriend or wife says something like this before you do. Then it's okay - she won't bite your head off and you won't wind up in the doghouse. Our food arrived and both are a Beautiful Presentation. The Killer Ribs are glistening and the aroma if filling your nose with deliciousness. It's also a Very Large Section of Ribs. The large amount of Steak Fries are underneath the Ribs. My Bacon Cheeseburger is Amazingly Huge with the Bacon hanging out all around the half pound seasoned patty. It also has lots of tomatoes and onions. The Cheese is also dripping down the sides of the patty. This is built with care, and like I said, is a Beautiful Presentation. They give you a nice amount of Golden-Brown Steak Fries that have a slight crunch on the outer edges. Now for my first bite, which I chose to go for the middle and get whatever I could, which was everything on the Cheeseburger - except for the very top Bun. Like I said, it's HUGE. The Seasoned Half Pound Patty is prepared perfectly with lots of flavor. All the other ingredients in this Cheeseburger add to that flavor making it one of the Best Cheeseburgers I have ever had. I wish I would have ordered this years earlier, but last night was a Flavorful experience. Every bite after that was an Amazing Tasty experience. They have other Burgers to choose from, and one day I just might do that, but that Bacon Cheeseburger ---- WOW ---- that was Awesome. My Wife said her Killer Ribs were a little too hard for her around the edges, but was very flavorful. When Jocelyn checked on us, my Wife informed her. Jocelyn than said that she would get her another one, and talked my Wife into exchanging the Killer Ribs for another one. Since she insisted, my Wife agreed. Soon the second Killer Ribs arrived, and they are also a good size, are glistening and looking good. She took one bite and agreed that this is much better. It does have the slight outer crunch, just like it's supposed to, and very Tenderlicious with lots of flavor. I think I even saw my Wife drooling a little - that's how good those Ribs are. Their BBQ sauce is also some pretty good stuff. I had some on my Steak Fries, and it's very tasty. My Wife ate some of those Killer Ribs, but after enjoying those Steak Fries, she was full and took the rest of the Killer Ribs home. Just like any great restaurant, sometimes you get something that isn't Just-Right, and TRH will replace it for you. My Lunch the next day was those Killer Ribs: They are fall off the bone because when I picked up a Rib Bone that's what they did. Get ya some soon. read more

Really disappointing experience at Texas Roadhouse. The staff were rude and unwelcoming, and they seated a group of their friends ahead of us even though we'd been waiting longer. Texas Road House is known for having a great steak for a great price! Aside from that, fresh beer and excellent service. I came to this one for that reasons. I wanted a quick-good steak, fresh draft beer, and good service. The ambiance is mostly the same through most of this chains. So you can expect about the same. This one had two amazing surprises for me. One: My Waiter was a special needs waiter. He was mute. To tell you how happy I was to see that Texas RoadHouse hires and gives a chance to EVERYONE, gives me hope for humanity. Our waiter was excellent. Though he could not verbally communicate with us WE HAD NO ISSUE expressing our order and he had no issue comprehending us. I loved it! I was so happy to see that Texas Roadhouse gives ALL a chance. Just for this reason alone they (and this particular location) deserve 5-Stars. Two: Aside from that, I also had a chance to witness something wonderful. A family, adjacent to our table, was celebrating the adoption of a young boy. The restaurant's manager came over their table and brought a horse saddle and had the boy seat on it and wave a rolled up cloth napkins around and around. They presented the boy to the restaurant and people cheered. It was that boy's celebration for being adopted by a loving and wonderful family. Everyone should have the opportunity to belong to a loving family and this boy just got his chance. Amazing! I'm glad I had a chance to witness this. Regarding the rest of the visit: 1) This one location was extremely busy, as are most. We were sat waiting 15-20min. 2) Food was excellent. My steak came out perfect. 3) Service was excellent. The food was awesome, and the service from "Amy Ann" was superb! However, the music was so loud it was extremely difficult to carry on a conversation at the table. My mother, who wears hearing aids, took them out because the music was so loud!! They have a great atmosphere, and wonderful food, but the music was so loud. One of my favs has disappointed me again. We went Saturday night for my birthday. Now, we knew it would be packed (it was) but only waited 20 minutes for a seat. We were watching the Bills lose a playoff game again, and realized we had been sitting there for about 15 minutes..no waiter, no drinks, nada. When he finally came over, he was very friendly, took our drink & app order. 10 mins later, got our drinks and took our order. 15 more minutes, appetizer & my salad come out. My husband was so pissed he handed him the entire plate and insisted he take it off. I did as well. My daughter ordered rare. Hers was raw! It was still cold. But she ate it. Still holds my top spot for chain based steak house in the USA. This was my 10th store visit in the world and 9th in the USA. Always consistent no matter where I find a TXRH which I love about the franchise. Never had a bad meal at any site in any state. Menu here similar to most others, also a plus, no surprises or missing items. Love the western, Texas vibe this, and all stores have going on as well. Little escape from wherever to TX, even in this case, when you're actually in TX! A first for me! The double chop dinner with plain sweet tater and veggies or the 16 oz sirloin with the same side items has been my go-to order for take out, pick up orders here so far. On the money, spot on each time so far. Always ready to go the second I walk in, no waiting. The app makes online orders a snap as well. My grandparents live here in San Angelo, so I've been to this Roadhouse plenty of times. First of all, the food. I haven't had many different things here, but what I have had is pretty good. I've gotten the kids Mac and cheese and the steak, too. The Mac and cheese is really good. It's not regular box Mac and cheese like Chili's, I don't know how to describe it, but it's just really good. The steak is good, too. Nothing special, just regular ol' steak. The one bad experience I've had with the food here is when I ordered chicken tenders, it tasted like pickles. Like, it was as if there was pickle juice on it from something else. Other than that, the food is fine. The service is really good, too. The waiters are good with checking on you every so often, and they're also good with refilling your drinks really often. It's usually pretty busy during the lunch rush and at dinner, so I recommend going in between those busy periods. Since it's usually pretty busy, it's pretty loud, so expect to be speaking up and/or yelling to others while here most of the time. Anyways, that's all I have to say. Nothing super special. Went a couple weeks ago and ordered a 16 oz ribeyes which was $27. I didn't pick the steak when I was seated a big mistake. They are pretty consistent. Only once have the ribs not meet their normal standard. I cannot tell how they would have handled it because my son did not complain until we had left the restaurant. First time ever at a Texas Roadhouse restaurant. My friends had been saying how great the rolls were so I was really excited to give it a try. The rolls just tasted like warm Hawaiian rolls. Nothing too special. I ordered the salmon with a grilled shrimp kicker. Before ordering my sides, I asked the waitress of the green beans were from a can and she explained everything is fresh and taken out and made the day of. So I expected to have fresh green beans. My second side was fresh veggies. The salmon was covered in herbs, spices and a ton of butter. It was to be my lean protein so I'm sure I took on a lot of calories and saturated fat from the butter. I got 3/4 into my salmon fillet before I hit very undercooked mushy fish. The grilled shrimp was soooo salty! It had a Thick coating of herbs and spices but there is such a thing called less is more. I tried to scrape off the seasoning and dip it in lemon juice. The green beans were most certainly from a can. I have been to a ton of restaurants that serve fresh green beans and none of those places ever resembled mess hall green beans like this place did. They tasted horrible. I took two bites and took the bowl off my plate. The baby carrots and broccoli were good though. Still had some crunch even though they were steamed. My friend got the skinny lime margarita and I tried some and that was the best! So crisp, citrusy and refreshing! I should have gotten one but I had already ordered an Angry Orchard. If I come back, I am definitely going to stay away from my west coast roots because the seafood was not the best. Will definitely have to try the ribs or steak. read more

I was up for a steak and came to Texas Roadhouse for a good portion of steak. I had the grilled shrimp and ribeye. The ribeye came out about a quarter inch thick. When I cut it open, it was well done instead of medium rare as I ordered it. So the server took it back and came back with one that's about 1/2" thick and it was cooked to my order. We got seated right away on a busy Sunday. Our server was wonderful and the food was very good. Loved the rolls with honey cinnamon butter. I ordered prime rib medium rare, loaded baked potato and a house salad with ranch to go. It took 40 minutes to get my order. I sat at the bar with only 4 other people so not busy.
