Back open at last! I had not even known of this place as a newb to Texas only 5 months. I'm glad I got wind of this reopening because it's now a top steakhouse stop for me. Big menu of steak goodness, burgers, chops, lamb, meat pies, cocktails, wine, beer, killer apps list. The service is on point and fast. Meals come out quick even when busy on Friday evenings. Carter is an amazing server, try to get him. My porterhouse steak topped with mushrooms and onions was a perfect medium and 100% delicious. I also got asparagus and Brussels sprouts as my sides a few those were darn tasty as well. The old fashion cocktail is a wise pick if you can't pick 1 from the list they have. Double pork chop dinner is a real winner and the Farmhand sandwich is my girlfriends favorite menu item by far. Prices are very fare, portions are big and service is impressive. The space they have is huge! Open and inviting. Does not feel cramped at all even when busy. Crystal and Kirk got this thing up and running very well in this re-opening. Super cute spot ! But we made the stop on a not so busy weekday evening .. it took over two and half hours to get our groups food out. We get it... theres a lack of staffing.. it's an issue everywhere. We were told first they didn't have a seasoning to complete part of a side, which is okay. Then the cheese we select (for an addition) they didn't have it ( like not even a menu option). Upon looking at the menu, they said oh we need to update it. Okay that's a little frustrating, but it's okay. Then the food comes out. We get something completely different. They weren't bust at all, this shouldn't have been an issue. Why is a server apologizing this much for a cook? The PRICE and quality.. Hard NO for a second try. The two star is really only for the polite and quick to correct error. Also I don't expect a pass on anything, however you'd think with all the issues. A small discount..10% something. Nope nothing. Showed up with reservations so we didn't wait once a waiter showed up. Unlike the crazy wait times between drinks, once we ordered food, the appetizer and food came out in good time. By the time we finished our meal, we waited for our check for a bit instead of waiting longer to get dessert. The food was cooked well and tased delicious, and the drinks were filled to the top. The atmosphere was nice looking like a hunting lodge with an outside patio. Overall I think it has the potential to be a great restaurant if they get a hostess and some more servers. read more

The ambiance and service were great... the menu was also a great selection. However the only good food was at the salad bar (and I don't like salad). My wife and I ordered Schnitzel, Mac and cheese, jalapeño poppers and another item I can't remember and it was all bad. I've never had bad Mac and cheese for crying out loud. I've been to allot of steakhouses and this one was by far the worst I have ever been to. $36 for a 30oz. porterhouse that was clearly not 30oz. a good steak should never be less then one inch thick especially a porterhouse my porterhouse steak was about half an inch thick if that and it had a very large strip of fat along the edge of the steak. What kind of "chef" serves a steak with a large strip of fat. The steak had decent and the service was good. read more

First off people, this isn't Mortons, Eddie V's, etc. The fact some folks mention "good steak" and "texas roadhouse" automatically dismisses their review, to me. Ate here the other night, food was great, no complaints. The only thing lacking, and it is lacking here, is the service. Very nice waitress and staff, it's just SLOW! Took us almost an hour to eat. Living in the sticks, it's nice to just have a place like this to go eat at. People need to support these types of places with reasonable expectations. If the restaurant can't get things right that's on them, but when people walk in expecting a Michelin-rated experience and then trash the place, that's why small west Texas towns have nothing in the way of good/decent restaurants. People read these reviews and then don't go. Have reasonable expectations and you won't be disappointed. They do need to speed up service though! read more

Great steakhouse! The salad bar had all the basics (iceberg but not spring lettuce) but the menu was the star. We got the Farm Hand club sandwich and the steak bits with garlic mashed potatoes. Steak was the best in a long time and you can tell everything is made in house! Service was prompt and friendly and the place was clean, clean. I was so disappointed! I really wanted to like this place. The ambiance is amazing and bright. The hostess was attentive and sat us right away. Once at our table, our waitress arrived and took our drink orders. All was seemingly well. We waited, waited, waited, nothing! The restaurant wasn't "full", but did have a few large groups. Our waitress took 23 minutes to come back and take our order. We still had NOTHING to drink! Once we ordered, it took an additional 13 minutes to receive one of the alcoholic beverages we ordered and 2 small salad plates. 4 minutes later we received the 2nd drink and the 2 waters we ordered. We both ordered appetizers. His came out as raw(ish) bacon on a greasy plate. They called it Pig Candy. I ordered Cheese Planks. They came out oozing cheese and still a bit cold. I left 3/4 of my drink and ALL of my cheese planks on the table and when the waitress finally came back to check on us, she didn't even ask why I had not eaten my food or drank my drink. Looking around, at the other tables, my partner and I noticed a lot of food was left on plates when patrons left the establishment. There were a lot of families there and the sound is quite loud as there are no real acoustical blockers in the restaurant. I can not recommend this place. Volume - 1 star, service -1.5 stars, food -1.5 stars and for 2 one trip salad bar plates and 2 appetizers with 2 adult beverages, the cost was roughly $40. -1 star for pricing. read more

We enjoy having Sunday brunch here. The staff is always friendly and very attentive. The memos are always delish! I order the eggs Benedict. They have recently started using sweet potatoes instead of the usual English muffins. Personally I prefer the English muffin. 2nd time in since the new owners opened it. Nice atmosphere, good food, cold beer, fair prices, great service at 5:00 pm. However, we like to eat and drink at the bar, both times we've visited the bar was full of staff who used it as a meeting place/break room. 4 outta 5 seats at the bar were occupied by staff/employees. Even if there had been two more stools at the bar, I don't want to sit with staff. It would make me feel like I was in THEIR way. read more

I really want to like this place because their photos and menu look so good. Don't be fooled though - it's overpriced and underwhelming. I've been several times and ordered different items from the menu. Most recently, my son and I went to try the brunch. No one ever came to seat us and we waited 30 minutes to put a drink order in. We waited close to an hour and a half for our breakfast and when it arrived, the "fluffy" pancakes were solid, congealed batter, the eggs benedict had broken yokes, and the potatoes were undercooked. We got up and left after offering to pay for our drinks. We left starving and will never go back after multiple horrible experiences. If I could give zero stars, I would. We we were excited to try this place as it just opened. It was packed upon arrival. Thankfully we had reservations! We were seated immediately. Our server was terrific and the atmosphere was nice. It was a bit of a wait to get our food given how busy it was; however we don't normally rush to eat. We try to enjoy the experience and take our time, so the food being a little late wasn't an issue for us. We tried the Jalapeño Popper Egg Rolls. They were alright. We felt there should've been more bacon in them. I had the 10oz Filet with Brussel Sprouts and Garlic Mashed Potatoes. My steak was way over cooked and very dried out. My husband had the Ribeye with Onion Rings and a Baked Potato. He asked for medium on the steak and it came out raw. Not rare -- raw. It was awful. The server took it back to be cooked more, but even then it came back rare. We both were very disappointed. While tonight's meal was not what we expected, we are giving them some leeway for the mistakes that were made and we will try it again in 6 months. I hate that I even have to leave 1 star. I dont typically leave a bad reveiw. This place was horrible. The steak was tough and was hardly edible. No flavor. Kaydee was a great waitress even though the bar took forever to make a drink and it took forever to get food. Tables were getting up and leaving the whole time. Management were treating waitresses absolutely horrible. I would never recommend this place to anybody!!!!! read more
