Arrived at Jason's, and there was a line more than halfway to the door. This might take a while because I noticed only one person taking orders. Before you know it, I was next to order. Then I saw a hand wave above the cash register, motioning me to come over. That's when I noticed they have three areas open to take orders, and two of them are, let's say, not very tall people. Their heads were lower than the cash registers. You could not see them, but that line disappeared really quickly. Anyway, I placed my order, 100% Whole Grain Wheat Bread Grilled Cheese Sandwich with Soup, and a Diet Dr Pepper drink. The lady replied back my order and asked what kind of soup, Tomato Basil or Bla,Bla,Ble,Ble,Blaw. I asked her to repeat that, and she said, Tomato Basil or Bla,Bla,Ble,Ble,Blaw. I said, I'm sorry, could you repeat the last part. She said, Bla,Bla,Ble,Ble,Blaw. I then said, Tomato Basil Soup will be fine. For the life of me, I could not understand what kind of soup Bla,Bla,Ble,Ble,Blaw was, and I don't know if that sounded good or not. But I do know Tomato Basil Soup is a good soup. FYI, the 100% Whole Grain Wheat Bread has two-slices of Cheddar Cheese and one-slice (in the center) of Muenster Cheese. That really sounds gooeygoodness to me. I grabbed my cup and number, filled my cup with Diet Dr Pepper (the Texas Coke), and located a table. This place is really busy with only a couple tables open. When one table is available, their Table-Cleaner is right there preparing it for the next customer. That is Service at its Best. Nicely done Jason. In a couple of minutes, my order arrived, and the Tomato Basil Soup was served in a Kettle Bowl style with Chunks of Tomato throughout and melted Chedder Cheese on top. Not what the picture showed on-line, and that looked delicious, and this looks better - Love It. However, the Grilled Cheese Sandwich is cut into small quarters. This 100% Whole Grain Wheat Bread is one-tiny-slice, but nicely toasted. Peeked inside for the cheese, and it's only a small dab of yellow and white. This is not a "Brylcreem Commercial" where a 'Little Dab Will Do Ya', it's a Grilled Cheese Sandwich, and I'm looking for the Cheese. I do not see how this could be three-slices, which doesn't even go to the edge of the toast. The Tomato Basil Soup is absolutely Delicious and Flavorful, and loving those chunks of tomatoes. Love That Soup. The 100% Whole Grain Wheat Bread is toasted perfectly and has the perfect crunch in every bite. Once in a while, you could actually taste a little cheese, but not often. The only thing I was disappointed in was their Grilled Cheese Sandwich with very little cheese. Other than that, I enjoyed my lunch and loved their Tomato Basil Soup. When I left, there was still a line, and it was moving pretty fast. Now I'm wondering what that Bla,Bla,Ble,Ble,Blaw soup was and how it tasted. I didn't see it on the menu board, so it must be something new they are trying. Maybe next time I will order it, but with something other than the Grilled Cheese Sandwich. GLUTEN FREE REVIEW:…read more Don't be fooled by the beauty and elegance of this place! I had a reaction to gluten in the first 10 minutes of being in this establishment. As of 01 October 2026, the menu online is their current menu, you will notice it is small but refined with multiple items marked gluten free. Do not succumb to the ignorance of trusting a gluten free marked item like I did. When I arrived at the restaurant with my friends the owner came to our table and greeted us, which I thought was very nice until he started speaking. He spoke at me for about 10 minutes about how people who are gluten free can actually eat flour outside of the US because they only have a problem with the processed flour, and how he uses "pure grain flour". (This is a common misconception, but a misconception nonetheless). When he finally allowed me to interject in between his ramblings, I informed him that I am celiac, meaning I cannot ingest flour at all no matter the processing it undergoes. I even told him how I have been to France and was unable to eat flour items there. I further express my concerns with the menu items containing ANY wheat ingredients. He assured me that "100% you can have the Pomme Frites and Pork Belly", these are the gluten free marked items. He said I couldn't have the fried calamari cause it was breaded in panko, but the lamb entree I wanted had homemade sauce so it was good too. I was not reassured after he left, telling my friends as much, but I decided to trust him. A fatal flaw I'll soon come to know. Ultimately, I ordered the pomme frites and poke belly appetizers for the table. I tried to order the lamb but clarified with the server that there wasn't flour in the sauce, after asking he noted there WAS flour in the sauce! (Like WTF! The owner just told me I could have it.) I ended up ordering the smoked salmon. When the appetizers arrived I started eating the Pork Belly, IT WAS INCREDIBLE!! Perfectly crispy, perfectly sweet, and perfectly tender. I hesitated eating the fries, as I didn't clarify the fryer situation. When the server came back (who also was told of my allergy multiple times by multiple people at my table) I asked him about the frier, he told me there was only ONE FRYER! MEANING IT WAS FRIED WITH THE CALAMARI!! At this point I have only drank water and ate about one 4inx2in piece of Pork Belly, when I start to feel an invisible force lodged in my throat and the unmistakable, catastrophe realization that I had royally fucked up. The next person the come to the table was the bartender, after asking, she informs me that the Pork Belly is not pan fried like I thought but it is ALSO FRIED IN THE FUCKING FRYER!! I then spent the next 10 minutes crying and throwing up in their bathroom. The owner did make another appearance after hearing my throwing up in the bathroom, apologizing and comping my meal. He even offered to box up my entree, I informed him that that wasn't necessary as I will not be eating anything else from here. (&Honestly comping my meal is a huge pet peeve of mine because that's the least you can fucking do after poisoning me, but I digress.) Actually, I've never digressed a day in my life.
