GLUTEN FREE REVIEW:…read more Don't be fooled by the beauty and elegance of this place! I had a reaction to gluten in the first 10 minutes of being in this establishment. As of 01 October 2026, the menu online is their current menu, you will notice it is small but refined with multiple items marked gluten free. Do not succumb to the ignorance of trusting a gluten free marked item like I did. When I arrived at the restaurant with my friends the owner came to our table and greeted us, which I thought was very nice until he started speaking. He spoke at me for about 10 minutes about how people who are gluten free can actually eat flour outside of the US because they only have a problem with the processed flour, and how he uses "pure grain flour". (This is a common misconception, but a misconception nonetheless). When he finally allowed me to interject in between his ramblings, I informed him that I am celiac, meaning I cannot ingest flour at all no matter the processing it undergoes. I even told him how I have been to France and was unable to eat flour items there. I further express my concerns with the menu items containing ANY wheat ingredients. He assured me that "100% you can have the Pomme Frites and Pork Belly", these are the gluten free marked items. He said I couldn't have the fried calamari cause it was breaded in panko, but the lamb entree I wanted had homemade sauce so it was good too. I was not reassured after he left, telling my friends as much, but I decided to trust him. A fatal flaw I'll soon come to know. Ultimately, I ordered the pomme frites and poke belly appetizers for the table. I tried to order the lamb but clarified with the server that there wasn't flour in the sauce, after asking he noted there WAS flour in the sauce! (Like WTF! The owner just told me I could have it.) I ended up ordering the smoked salmon. When the appetizers arrived I started eating the Pork Belly, IT WAS INCREDIBLE!! Perfectly crispy, perfectly sweet, and perfectly tender. I hesitated eating the fries, as I didn't clarify the fryer situation. When the server came back (who also was told of my allergy multiple times by multiple people at my table) I asked him about the frier, he told me there was only ONE FRYER! MEANING IT WAS FRIED WITH THE CALAMARI!! At this point I have only drank water and ate about one 4inx2in piece of Pork Belly, when I start to feel an invisible force lodged in my throat and the unmistakable, catastrophe realization that I had royally fucked up. The next person the come to the table was the bartender, after asking, she informs me that the Pork Belly is not pan fried like I thought but it is ALSO FRIED IN THE FUCKING FRYER!! I then spent the next 10 minutes crying and throwing up in their bathroom. The owner did make another appearance after hearing my throwing up in the bathroom, apologizing and comping my meal. He even offered to box up my entree, I informed him that that wasn't necessary as I will not be eating anything else from here. (&Honestly comping my meal is a huge pet peeve of mine because that's the least you can fucking do after poisoning me, but I digress.) Actually, I've never digressed a day in my life. Cause this was actually ridiculous. The significant misguided knowledge on gluten free safety and obvious lack of care for your patrons health was jarring. I've been gluten free for the better part of 6 years and I fear I only have myself to blame for choosing to eat at this location even after all the red flags. So this is your warning, if you're celiac. STEER CLEAR! Or you'll be at high risk of ending up like me, not a skinny bitch like I deserve but the size of a beached beluga whale after a week in 110 degree days, the stomach cramping, and the bodily evictions to last a lifetime. I hope this review helps you stay the baddest skinny bitch we all deserve to be. I am giving a 1 star rating, based on a gluten free bias. My friends would probably give a 4-5 star rating as gluten consumers. so I will meet near the middle for a 2.3 star :)

Yesterday was my Wife's Birthday, and we went out to Celebrate…read more Joe, Nancy's son, came over for the celebrations. We all left for "The GRILL" and when we entered, the place was packed, but they did have a table available, and it was near the Kitchen. At most restaurants, you don't want to be near the Kitchen, but at The GRILL, it's a great place to sit because you are closer to all that Aroma that fills the air all over the entire restaurant, and you get to watch them grill those Steaks. Haylee came over to our table to say "Hello". She is one of the Bartenders here at this time, and informed us that our Server is Katie, who will be with us shortly. We informed her that it's Nancy's "80th" Birthday, and Haylee wished her a Happy Birthday. We also ordered our drinks, Jack-N-Cokes for Nancy and me; Joe is having a Miller Lite. Katie came over shortly, and we informed her that Haylee took our drink order. Soon our drinks arrived, and we toasted to the Birthday Girl. Happy Birthday Nancy. We then looked over the menu some more, trying to decide what we wanted. This is a hard decision because everything they prepare here is delicious, and one of the Best Presentations of Tastyliciousness in town. When Katie returned, we placed our orders. The Birthday Girl is going with, and there is no surprise here, their "Slow Roasted Pork Nachos"; Chipotle Sauce, diced Tomatoes, Cilantro, Black Beans, Cheddar Cheese over Fresh Chips with sliced Green Jalapenos on the side, all covering a load of Fresh, Crunchy Chips. Joe is having their "Baby Back Ribs", "Fall-Off-The-Bone-Ribs" with house-made BBQ Sauce, served with Creamy Coleslaw & Shoestring Potatoes. He also ordered a side Salad with House Dressing. I am going with one of my favorites - everywhere - a Burger. Not just any burger, but their "Texas Burger": Half Pound of Seasoned Fresh Ground Chuck, Shredded Cheddar Cheese, Canadian Bacon, Onions, jalapeños, and mustard with Mesquite Sauce. Served with Shoestring Potatoes (choice). Orders are in, and we ordered another round of drinks for us. The GRILL has the best Bartenders in the area, and their drinks go down smooooooth. Our drinks arrived just before the food did, and it's hard to decide what to enjoy next. Okay, it was kind of easy. When you are presented with a drink, you take a sip just to let the drink know you appreciate it being a good drink. The GRILL does an amazing job with their Presentation of food. Joe's Baby Back Ribs are glistening on his platter (yes, a platter, not a plate), waiting for him to indulge. They didn't have to wait very long, because he did just that. Those Ribs have a lot of bones across the platter, and he started at one end and went to the other end. He said it was delicious, or something like that, because when one drools, it's hard to come up with the words. Their Shoestring Potatoes are always good, and the Creamy Coleslaw has a nice crunch to it, along with tasty flavoring. My Wife, as always, enjoyed those Slow Roasted Pork Nachos. There is a lot of pulled pork in there, along with a lot of everything else. The Jalapeños are on the side, so you can add as much heat to each bite as you want. This dish is not only Tastylicious, but a very Colorful one at that. It's like Christmas in August. Nancy ate more of this than she normally does. I took a bite, and it is really good, and what a deal. Joe finished off the rest, and the plate is clean. I have had this Texas Burger a few times before, and it's a hard one to pass up each time we are here. This must be a full Half-Pound patty, because it's Thick & Big. Love the strong taste and the amount of Cheddar Cheese Strips on this Burger; it's not too much, but it's also not a little amount. The Jalapeños are also just the right amount of heat to complement every bite. The Canadian Bacon on a Texas Burger does not sound right, but it is the right touch. The flavor goes perfectly with the entire Burger. For me, this entire Texas Burger is the Best Burger in the area, and I have had many a burger all over. Love those Shoestring Potatoes. They have a nice Crunch all the way around and are salted Just-Right. I usually do not salt anything per Doctor's orders, but these I make an exception for. The Texas Burger does it for me every time I order it. Every one of us joined the Clean Plate Club for the night, and we all get a Gold Star. Haylee and Katie earned the "Dollar-Bow-Tie" Award for going 'above-n-beyond' the norm. Haylee made our drinks for the night, and Katie checked on us throughout our stay at just the right time. Service at The GRILL has always been tops, and it was that again.

Going in,…read morethe establishment was clean and the atmosphere was light and very retro with a small hint of steampunk. The tables were spaced apart nicely and the mix of bar tables to low tables was nicely done. We were greeted by a very nice cashier who took our order, patiently and accurately. It was then passed on to another woman who was running the sandwich line and I didn't get the feeling she was pleased with where she was at. She had a kind of snarl on her face and did little to acknowledge us. We took a seat under the window at a low top table and within less than 5 minutes our food was ready. They called our names as if the place was packed when we were the only ones there. At first bite, we both knew this was horrible. The fries were excellent. Light and crispy crinkle cut fries with just the right amount of salt. You'd be hooked, however, the sandwiches were tasteless. I mean, literally tasteless. I got the black bean veggie sandwich and all I could taste was spice, I am the first one to admit that I am a spice wimp. My daughter got the Philly cheese and there was no additional seasoning at all. Not even the add on veggies and condiments could rectify the blandness of the meal. Now, Which Wich has a sign on the wall that states, "If you are not 100% satisfied with your sandwich, we will refund you!" HUGE sign. I went back up with my black bean veggie sandwich and said, "I'm not satisfied. It is spicy and I can't do spicy. It doesn't state anywhere on the menu that the veggie and black bean is spicy." At that point, Ms. No personality went to find someone of authority. There was a gentleman on the phone and the cashier had disappeared. The man on the phone then hung up and asked me, "What do you want us to do about it?" To which I responded, " Can you just remove the patties and add tomato and lettuce?" He agreed, but the price did not adjust to accommodate for just veggies and I was, again, left with a sandwich with absolutely NO taste! This was 2 days ago and the sandwiches are still in the fridge, not eaten and not tossed until I can justify spending $25 on two bland, tasteless sandwiches that I am left "holding the bag" on, because I feel like the Karen that can't ask for a refund even though the sign clearly states that is what should happen. I cannot, in good conscience, suggest this as a place for a meal. The atmosphere is a 4 star. The color scheme of the logo and the general layout of ordering and seating, 4 stars. The ambiance 4 stars. The staff 3 stars and that is only for the cashier and not the sandwich maker or supervisor. The fries 4 stars. What killed it for me is the "return guarantee" that is not honored -2 stars and the lack of any taste to the food whatsoever, -5 stars. I counted ambiance twice and I gave an additional count for an establishment where all 3 visits prior to reviewing had a 1 star outcome leaving my rating at 1 star for this establishment.
