Today 3/27/2026 we came here for dinner as I've never been to or heard of a Schlotzsk's. I decided on the Fiesta style roasted Chicken meal combo w/Root beer and my husband chose the Roast Beef on Sourdough combo meal w/Sprite.. Both our combo dinners were really good although mine was a little on the spicy side. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and placed our order for dine in. As shown below in a picture we placed our order at 3:53pm and they called our number at 4:07pm, seems a bit long for a fast food restaurant with only 3 other tables of 2. Now here is the issues that ruined the entire first time experience for me. The male employee named Jimmy, as shown on our ticket, came over and wiped off a table right after a female customer left. He did tell her to have a nice evening and then proceeded to wipe off her table with food scraps and a dirty napkin left behind. He simply wiped it off the table top landing on a chair seat and the floor. He then walked back to the customer service counter, stood behind the cash register and started picking his nose. Hopefully the mgr will have a come to Jesus meeting with the entire staff regarding personal hygiene policy. When we got in our car I mentioned this to my husband and he said yes I saw him doing that and wondered if you saw him. Honey, I see everything! Now you know why I gave 1 star. read more

Standard Schlotzky's. Service was friendly and efficent. I was craving a French dip. It was made quickly. It was good for a fast food French dip and satisfied my craving. I also the the Cinnabon centers. I always think I'm going to like Cinnabon, and I don't. That is not their fault. That is mine. So my only complaint is i don't like Cinnabon, and I order it every several years to prove to myself i still don't like it. read more

The location here in San Angelo is the worst Schlotzsky's Ive ever eaten at. We have/ had been eating at Schlotzsky's since their very early days but the quality of the food, ESPECIALLY their bread, is nowhere near what it used to be. When suggesting to the 'manager' that he might need to check the food before being served his comment was "I cant be everywhere at once". I had the strange American rendition of a calzone in this place with a strange name in San Angelo. It smelt as if there had been a serious fire in the kitchen, and the smell lingered on me. I had their overpriced sausage & peppers calzone, which comes with two whole cups of ranch. The bread was very tasty as it was a soft garlic bread. When I eat a hefty American meal, my goal is to feel fat and happy. Instead, I felt fat and indifferent. It did taste very good in the beginning. Maybe good for only a small portion. We had been talking for weeks about eating at Schlotzky's and finally had the opportunity to do so. We were very excited and ordered a large number of different sandwiches to try. We had eaten there years ago and loved it. Upon arriving home, we got our sandwiches and began to eat. The bread was awful. It was like eating a tasteless dry sponge. The sandwiches had very little sauce, so it didn't help the bread any. The meat was of good quality. We ended up taking the meat off of the sandwiches and putting it on our own bread along with our own sauce to make edible sandwiches. The restaurant was not very busy. The employee who called my order apologized to me for the wait but didn't say why it took so long. I haven't been to Schlotzky's in YEARS!! I will definitely be back. Our food was so good. I'm pleasantly surprised! I had the pick 2 with chicken tortilla soup and Tuscan sandwich. I didn't expect the soup to be so good, but it is ALMOST as good as what I would make at home. Very slow service may be they r short on help. Ordered one Cinnabon had to wait at least 20 minutes in drive thru, no exaggeration. parking lot was dirty. But service at the window was friendly . Product was Cold cinnabon should be served hot and she did give me extra frosting if I would've gone back to get this heated up it would have wasted more time. I was going to drive couple of hours and eat cinnabon but I decided not to eat it till I get home so I can heat it up in the microwave. I ordered a Diet Coke but got a Dr Pepper. I think she didn't hear me correctly overall it was not a good experience since it's the only Schlotzsky we have in town I might go there again during slow hours maybe weekday 3 PM . hopefully I get a better product. Needed an Original fix. Im guessing the message has been received on the cleanliness and the time/order issues. The floor,kitchen, and dining area was clean. I got there a little after 11 and my to go Original was wicked fast. The even had a employee actively scanning and keeping the area clean. I was impressed. Keep in mind we only have ONE Schlotzskys but they have at least made efforts to clean up. read more

Expensive! Small portion sizes. A meal typically costs $10 and its a relatively small sandwich compared to other delis. Tiny bang for your buck. My suggestion: Unless you're in a pinch for time (not money), go somewhere else. Plenty of other places around town. read more

Just ordered from door dash. They sent the wrong soup and my cinnamon bun was so hard and stale I couldn't even try to eat it

Soooooo disappointed. The changes they made are so bad. Why mess with success? Old menu and order process worked. Today was tedious. No calorie counts on anything but basic sandwiches. Took 15 minutes in line to order behind 3 other people. Order was not right and had to be re-made. Kids pepperoni pizza maybe had 5 pepperoni slices, no sauce and so much crust. They were not happy nor full. Kids like pizza sauce on pizza!! Not a hard concept. Bring back the old menu and system or refine this one please. read more

The atmosphere was nice and had a family oriented feel to it. I got the Italian Sausage and Basil flatbread with mozzarella and tomatoes, without the red peppers. Was crisp and delicious. The food is delivered to your table, which is different for a stand-in-line-to-order restaurant, but nice. We went here for the first time today and were excited to have a great sandwich! We ordered a grilled chicken sandwich (I can't have deli meat because I'm pregnant) with avocado. We waited in the drive-thru line for 30+ minutes which was frustrating in itself, but when we got home and opened it up there was deli meat chicken, about 2 bites worth, and no avocado that we paid for. We also ordered a chocolate chip cookie that wasn't in the bag at all. My husbands sandwich was good. Not worth the $18 we paid. Will not come back. read more

We've been here a couple times and were never blown away. On our last visit, which was done via Drive-Thru, was the deciding factor that we'll never be back. The girl taking the order was beyond rude. My husband, always polite, was speaking loudly and reading the order off to her. She kept interrupting him and then anytime he'd repeat it she'd say, "Whaaaaat?!" Our order wasn't complicated at all. We asked for a Small Turkey sandwich and one Children's Cheese Pizza. She kept messing up the order (because she was talking over him) and then at one point said into the mircophone, "PULL TO THE WINDOW!" It doesn't sound rude on here, obviously, but it was enough hassle that we left and haven't gone back. On a previous visit, we saw one of the locals drive through the Drive-Thru backwards in this truck. I guess that was our sign we shouldn't have gone back, LoL. read more

So I pull up to the drive thru, there is 1 (one), yes just one vehicle ahead of me, already at the window. I sit at the menu for more than 5 minutes waiting to place my order. Now normally that wouldn't be a big deal, until I get to the window and the lady taking the orders (Leslie, I think) is having a full blown conversation with another employee, while people are sitting in the drive thru!! Very unprofessional and rude to expect people to wait on her to finish talking instead of doing her job!! BUT....still not finished.......same conversation still going on with other employee while taking another order and then chastising the person ordering for ordering a drink that is on the drive thru menu but not sold!! All of this nonsense in addition to listening to another employee making drinks, belching like they were at home!! I usually love Schlotzsky's, but this will be the last time I eat at this one!! I do hope that management sees this and makes some corrections!! read more

This location is horrible! Never go here. They always get my order wrong. Every single time I go something gets forgotten. Most recently I called in an order, went to pick it up, and they'd said it'd been cancelled. I've spoken to the manager and it's no wonder nothing is run right. She doesn't know what she's doing. I usually love their food! The price is a little high, though. But, the last 2 times me or my husband has gone to Schlotzsky's we couldn't give you our opinion on the food because we didn't get to order. When my husband went they were closing. I can understand not being served because they were closing but, he was spoken to very rudely! The guy asked my husband if he was just coming in and then said well, we're closed and walked away!
