The service from phone to pick-up was perfect, friendly and quick. The place has nice decor and a great spot to meet friends plus it's a Bed & Brew for your overnight guests. There is a wall of draw beer taps with a nice selection to choose from. However, for those of us that haven't acquired the taste of beer they didn't have a lot of options of other beverages. No Iced tea or soda only canned and bottled beverages which is cold. On occasion you will see some nice "eye candy" so stop in and give them a try. I'm giving four stars only because of the limited selection of non alcoholic beverages. I know it's an Ale house so if your coming for their beer that's great but fountain drinks and iced tea would be nice for those who come for the pizza.

We have been coming to this location 1-2 times a week to eat. We were so excited to eat lunch from here and decided to pick up an order through the drive thru. First problem was the online ordering system. It froze on me several times, refused to take my credit card information and then told me the order couldn't go through without updating a scheduled time. The only option was to hit "ASAP" which I did. And... nothing happened. Still showed an error, booted me off and erased the order that I had left in my cart. So, still craving our usual sandwiches we drove there to place an order in person. One car in front of us and it took more than 5 minutes before we were up. I ordered a small original with no onions, sour cream and onion chips and an unsweetened tea. My husband ordered a small Albuquerque turkey with regular chips and an unsweetened tea. The boy at the window asked several questions about our two unsweetened teas and which size, after we'd already paid him the cash total. After about 10 minutes we were handed our bag, and we drove home. As I'm walking into our house I received an email notification about our online order. An order that said it couldn't be placed. So I called the restaurant and sat through 2 minutes of ringing before someone picked up the phone. They could see my order, but couldn't help. So they put me on hold for a "manager" who then proceeded to tell me they could verify the order. I told him it wouldn't go through on my end online, so we'd already gone thru the drive thru and paid cash for the same two sandwiches in the order. Then he tells me his gm can probably take care of it tomorrow, but do I want to be refunded for one order or two? Because apparently it went through TWICE. At this point, I've paid close to $75 for two SMALL sandwiches from here. Yes, I need to be refunded for BOTH charges, as we already paid cash at the drive through. So, the "manager" could do nothing but say his gm will be there tomorrow. So, I guess there's no manager or anyone with power there to take care of issues when you come to get food from their establishment... So, still hungry, we sit down to eat. My "original" sandwich was a ham and cheese COVERED entirely with mustard and full of raw onions. It was mushy, barely any meat and bread was falling apart soggy. My chips were not what I ordered, they put salt and vinegar in the bag instead. My husband's Albuquerque turkey was a plain roast beef sandwich with black broth in a cup. His regular chips were replaced with cracked black pepper flavored chips. So disappointing and gross. Too bad there wasn't a manager or anything there that could have fixed this problem, even if we'd have gone back.......... Seems the employees are left on their own, even the "manager" was clueless. And to make matters worse, they probably had our correct order sitting there somewhere, only there was no way of knowing because the online ordering system wouldn't let me know until 20 minutes later that the order had even gone through. I will never use their system again, and we definitely won't be back. Also, better be receiving a refund. Should actually be refunded the cash from the two trash sandwiches (that weren't even what we ordered) as well. read more

Arrived at Jason's, and there was a line more than halfway to the door. This might take a while because I noticed only one person taking orders. Before you know it, I was next to order. Then I saw a hand wave above the cash register, motioning me to come over. That's when I noticed they have three areas open to take orders, and two of them are, let's say, not very tall people. Their heads were lower than the cash registers. You could not see them, but that line disappeared really quickly. Anyway, I placed my order, 100% Whole Grain Wheat Bread Grilled Cheese Sandwich with Soup, and a Diet Dr Pepper drink. The lady replied back my order and asked what kind of soup, Tomato Basil or Bla,Bla,Ble,Ble,Blaw. I asked her to repeat that, and she said, Tomato Basil or Bla,Bla,Ble,Ble,Blaw. I said, I'm sorry, could you repeat the last part. She said, Bla,Bla,Ble,Ble,Blaw. I then said, Tomato Basil Soup will be fine. For the life of me, I could not understand what kind of soup Bla,Bla,Ble,Ble,Blaw was, and I don't know if that sounded good or not. But I do know Tomato Basil Soup is a good soup. FYI, the 100% Whole Grain Wheat Bread has two-slices of Cheddar Cheese and one-slice (in the center) of Muenster Cheese. That really sounds gooeygoodness to me. I grabbed my cup and number, filled my cup with Diet Dr Pepper (the Texas Coke), and located a table. This place is really busy with only a couple tables open. When one table is available, their Table-Cleaner is right there preparing it for the next customer. That is Service at its Best. Nicely done Jason. In a couple of minutes, my order arrived, and the Tomato Basil Soup was served in a Kettle Bowl style with Chunks of Tomato throughout and melted Chedder Cheese on top. Not what the picture showed on-line, and that looked delicious, and this looks better - Love It. However, the Grilled Cheese Sandwich is cut into small quarters. This 100% Whole Grain Wheat Bread is one-tiny-slice, but nicely toasted. Peeked inside for the cheese, and it's only a small dab of yellow and white. This is not a "Brylcreem Commercial" where a 'Little Dab Will Do Ya', it's a Grilled Cheese Sandwich, and I'm looking for the Cheese. I do not see how this could be three-slices, which doesn't even go to the edge of the toast. The Tomato Basil Soup is absolutely Delicious and Flavorful, and loving those chunks of tomatoes. Love That Soup. The 100% Whole Grain Wheat Bread is toasted perfectly and has the perfect crunch in every bite. Once in a while, you could actually taste a little cheese, but not often. The only thing I was disappointed in was their Grilled Cheese Sandwich with very little cheese. Other than that, I enjoyed my lunch and loved their Tomato Basil Soup. When I left, there was still a line, and it was moving pretty fast. Now I'm wondering what that Bla,Bla,Ble,Ble,Blaw soup was and how it tasted. I didn't see it on the menu board, so it must be something new they are trying. Maybe next time I will order it, but with something other than the Grilled Cheese Sandwich. Check out a Jason's Deli near you, and if they have it, try the Bla,Bla,Ble,Ble,Blaw soup and let me know how it taste.

Just $5.98 for a Half Pound Seasoned Grilled Cheeseburger with Lettuce, Tomatoes, Onions & Pickles, and packs of Mayo, Mustard & Ketchup. This is One-Great-Deal that we take advantage of at least once a month. My Wife thinks we should do this every other Monday, and I'm all for that. Texas Steak Express is not very far from the house, so when we pull out of the driveway, we call them and order Two Cheeseburger Specials. On the way out to the car, we grab a couple of Zero Cokes for us to drink. When we arrive at TSE, we only have to wait about 2 minutes for our Cheeseburgers. We eat them in the car outside TSE, with a bed-serving tray sitting between the front seats. They wrap the Cheeseburgers up in foil, in a Styrofoam container, with the toppings in their own sealed container. You just choose the condiments you want, then add the toppings to the Cheeseburger, then begin a feast of a Tastylicious Grilled Half Pound Patty, and you can really taste the grilling. TSE knows how, and they do it well. The one Cheeseburger is enough for my Wife, but I need a little more than that. Back at the house, I will grab something light for me to finish off my dinner. One day, I just might order Two Cheeseburgers for me, but not this Monday. Texas Steak Express has a few restaurants scattered around Texas. So, if you're traveling around Texas, or in San Angelo, stop in on a Monday between 4 & 6 pm. You will be pleasantly surprised by how good their Cheeseburgers are.
