They were able to assess our roof and what needed to be done and the lifetime of it. In our case it was for insulation though and they were able to insulate our attics very well to help conserve energy and keep the place warmer during winter and cooler during summer. They also helped us replace an extensively damaged flat roof in a very short amount of time. The owner has been in this trade for over 20 years so they have done a variety of jobs and a variety of buildings. It's good to know a small business like this has the experience and knowledge to make a solid product - one that they put their name onto. You know you found an excellent contractor when they are proud of their work and they stand by it. It's best to find contractors who measure twice and/or even thrice and cut once.

Jose and Oscar also fixed any issues/defects I found after the work was completed before final city inspection. All in all, it was great working with them. Jose was very patient and explained to me whenever I had any questions. The work was completed in 5 days. I received 6 quotes for the project. They came in the middle of all the quotes. If you are seeking an honest and hard working professional, Gustavo is a person you should talk to…read more After a sudden downpour overnight, part of my gutter was dislodged and the remaining portion was at risk too. Reaching out through Yelp, Gustavo was able to visit the same day and give his assessment. Given that some of the eaves had dry rot (it is a 60 year old house), there were 3 options: 1/cut back the eaves about 1-2 inches and add a 2x4 as a fascia(?) (most work and expensive), 2/ add sister pieces to the eaves (middle ground but aesthetically not as pleasing), and 3/ use longer screws to reattach the gutter as the dry rot was only on 1 or 2 places. When asked, he proposed going with option 3 as he didn't see a need to do more work than is necessary. As a result, the quote was much more reasonable vs. other vendors, some who proposed full gutter replacements. Even though other options would have been better for his business I admired his honesty. During the work he was also very patient in responding to my questions and explaining the work he will be performing. Needless to say that I learned a ton and will be seeking his help for any other roofing and gutter needs in the future!

While searching for a reputable roofer to replace an aging roof on a rental property, my trusted…read moreelectrician suggested that I call his roofer, Humberto Valdiva, the owner of Valdiva Roofing. I interviewed four highly rated roofing companies to understand my options better and compare cost, reliability, and ease of doing business. While Humberto's prices were not the cheapest (or the most expensive), they were competitive. His customer focus is what stood out from the others. He highlighted different options for shingles, venting, and other materials that others didn't mention in their rush to get me to sign a contract. Humberto took his time to educate me, bring clarity, and compare the various options, which helped me feel informed and comfortable with deciding to move forward with Valdiva Roofing. Humberto was by far the easiest to work with during the bidding process. From bidding to completion, Humberto was my one point of contact, and he was an absolute joy to work with. I found him to be organized, efficient, hardworking (I spotted him working alongside his crew more than once), and on-site regularly throughout the project. The new roof and gutters were installed to plan, on schedule, at the price we agreed upon, and it looks great! Humberto and Valdiva Roofing earned my trust with this first project and have become my go-to roofing team. Since then, I hired Valdiva Roofing for roofing inspections, repairs, and maintenance for other rental properties that I manage as well as my own home. They added ridge venting to improve attic ventilation, sealed leaky penetrations, corrected a gutter angled the wrong direction, and replaced wood damaged by water, termites, and carpenter bees. Humberto is knowledgeable, responsive, and customer focused. I am incredibly grateful for the professionalism and hard work that he brought to each of my projects, from small to larger in scope.
