We went to a Yelp event prior and my husband was unable to attend so we finally made it to visit the restaurant for a meal. There were 5 of us. We started with our drinks: Wisconsin Old Fashioned, water, Shirley Temple, Root Beer and water. Then we ordered our meals: Brisket Burnt Ends with cornbread, coleslaw and baked beans, 1/2 lb Angus Cheeseburger with bacon and cornbread, 1/2 lb Agus Burger with fries, Sliced Brisket with cornbread, coleslaw and mac n cheese and last, Pull Chicken Sandwich only mayo and ketchup and fries. Not one person had anything bad to say and we all ate well. The portion size was perfect and the presentation was good as well. The flavor was so savory and the sauces on the table we perfect to allow us to try one or all. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive. Our food was served hot. Oh, and we can't forget about the second Wisconsin Old Fashioned. Plus the to-go orders. 4 double orders of cornbread and 2 orders of Smoked Bacon Balls. There is a full bar and plenty of seating. The ambiance is nice, inviting. A little darker, relaxing.

Tried Double B's for the first time with friends and it did not disappoint! We made a reservation for a Thursday night. I enjoyed my cocktail (Gin sour) and liked the unique options they offered for cocktails. I tried the pulled pork and sweet potato fries which were so good! The platter comes with coleslaw and corn bread (definitely recommend trying the cornbread- it was my favorite). I liked they had 4 different bbq options at the table so I didn't have to choose just one! Would definitely recommend trying out if you are looking for a flavorful, classic BBQ meal!

WOW! My wife had been trying to get me here for quite some time and we final went on Saturday (02/28/2026). Hands down the BEST cornbread I've had! But don't get that mistaken I ordered and enjoyed the Brisket Burnt Ends with mac and cheese. When it was served I got the baked beans instead. Even as they also brought out the mac and cheese after I am not complaining because those were one of the best beans I've had a well. There was nothing on my plate that I didn't enjoy. The pickles were good as well. I also tried my wife's sliced brisket and that was delicious as well. She enjoyed it so much she only shared a bite lol. Our server was attentive and fast. Our food was served hot and the presentation looked great. We even ordered some food to go. We cannot forget about the Wisconsin Old Fashioned. My wife knows I really liked these and told me I really need to get one, so I did, twice. Good stuff!! The restaurant seems inviting with a full bar and plants everywhere. It's rare to see that, great look.

Our work place catered food from Double B's, the food was so good my husband and I decided to stop by the restaurant and try the food there. We got seated right away, the service and drinks were good! The decor is beautiful I love all the greenery. Food is delicious 10/10 everything on my place was good, the pulled pork, Mac and cheese, cole slaw and my favorite the corn bread! Definitely recommend to try it.

We had reservations for a group of eleven people for lunch. Only two of our group had been there before, but by the time we left everyone wanted to return again. Service was good, and everyone was pleased with their food choices.

Been here a long time ago, and more recently attended an event where the food was catered by Double B's. It was amazingly good, so we decided to come back to the restaurant. Food: The food was just as good as what we had at the catered event. To start, we ordered a couple of the specialty cocktails. I had the Fireside Old Fashioned with cranberry juice and cinnamon, and my partner ordered the hot Maple Cider. Both were perfect for a very cold night. For food, I ordered the Burnt Ends appetizer. It's served on Texas toast and came with a generous portion of meat. There was just a little bit of sauce on it, which made it easy to really explore the four different sauces they offer. I especially enjoyed the Carolina sauce, which is mustard based rather than ketchup based. The KC mild, which is more traditional, was my second favorite. Honestly, all four were good. My partner ordered the Brisket Sandwich. It came out hot, tender, flavorful, and was a very good portion. What was super yummy, was the side of mashed potatoes. There were smooth, rich, creamy, with a few chunks. After all that food, we still wanted to try a piece of the Peanut Butter Pie. Rich peanut butter mouse, with a chocolate ganache. Great way to end the meal. Service: I don't know if this was just an off night, but the service was very disappointing. The restaurant was less than half full. We were seated right away, but then waited nearly ten minutes before our server came by to acknowledge us. From what we could tell, she did not seem overly busy with other tables. Once we finally got water, we became concerned about how long the meal might take, so we ordered both drinks and food at the same time. The food came out fairly quickly, but our drinks did not. She apologized and brought them out shortly afterward. The meal itself was excellent, and we wanted to order dessert, but again had to wait for the server. After dessert, we had to wait yet again. You can see into the kitchen area, and at one point she appeared to be busy organizing condiment bottles. We also noticed other tables starting to look impatient with the service. Atmosphere: It's not a very large space, but it has a nice, casual feel. There is a foyer at the entrance, so you don't get hit with cold air when people come in and out. Seating options include tables for different size groups, as well as upholstered couches that can be configured in various ways. There is also a bar that is separated from the main dining area, though you can eat there as well. I love the food and the atmosphere, and I would come back again. I would just hope for a much better service experience next time.

I have enjoyed Double B's over the years; at work events, at a wedding, and for pick up. I finally ate at the restaurant for the first time! It's a cute little place and I enjoyed my dining experience. Our server was friendly and efficient. The food was delicious, as always. I'm not a big bbq person but when I do crave it, this is exactly what I want. I'm such a sucker for all of the sides. Best mashed potatoes I've ever had. Fantastic Mac and cheese and so so yummy corn bread muffins. When we dined in we tried the brisket queso, pulled pork, more brisket, beans, Mac, potatoes, and corn bread. I also love all the sauces, with the vinegar one being my favorite.

Double B's in West Allis was a great experience. I would make sure to have a reservation for the weekend m, it gets busy! We ordered the chicken and brisket--both were really good and full of flavor. The service was pretty solid too; it was a busy night, so we didn't get a ton of attention, but everyone was still friendly and helpful. Overall, it's a great place, and we're already looking forward to going back.

Smoked turkey and the sauce reminded me of like a creamy balsamic bbq sauce.

Second time here and it's officially a must-stop when we're in town from California. Gorgeous decor, super friendly staff, and food that absolutely delivers. Burnt ends on Texas toast = . Homemade lemonade? Best I've ever had (I had three!). Brisket, smoked turkey, kielbasa, and ribs were all tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The sauces were spot-on, the slaw was fresh, the cornbread had the ideal sweet-savory balance, and the mac & cheese was creamy perfection. Everything was amazing--we'll definitely be back!

Double B's is located about 10 minutes from downtown Milwaukee. Limited street parking is available. Upon entering, we were warmly greeted and offered table seating, but decided to saddle up at the bar. The bartender wasted no time in introducing herself and taking orders. After perusing the menu, I decided on the brisket sandwich w/sweet potato fries and a sweet tea. Not too long after, it was delivered to me with a smile. Brisket was tender and flavorful, not fatty. Sweet potato fries were crispy to perfection. Sweet tea was a refreshing, but a tad bit sweet. As an added treat, the bartender offered a complimentary cornbread muffin, which was absolutely delicious. Overall, this was a quite satisfying visit. Be sure to add Double B's if you're ever in the area.

Happy I found the place whilst in Milwaukee. The place was pretty packed, with a 40 or so minute wait. The interior was nice, and also perhaps a bit dark. There was a bar and then lots of regular tables. I ordered to go and it took 15-20 minutes to fulfill the order. What led me to choose this place is that they have burnt ends. (If you've never had burnt ends and you have a chance to, that's what you're ordering.) In addition to the burnt ends I got the kielbasa, in hopes that the little one would eat some, and some corn. The meals came with corn bread and coleslaw. I think I also got a side of macaroni and cheese because you never know what a toddler is going to decide to eat or not.... The burnt ends were delicious, though we didnt' eat them all because some were a little fatty. The kielbasa was delicious!! It's not the same as a hot link you might get at another BBQ place, though. But I love kielbasa and would order this again. Luckily, the babe did choose to eat a few bites of it. If they have a mixed plate, that might be what I'd choose so I could have both. The cornbread turned out to be the biggest winner in my kiddo's estimation. I have had better cornbread but I would have eaten it if she hadn't been so fond of it. The macaroni and cheese was ok, and again it's something I'd eat if I had ordered it as a side with my meal but I'm not sure I'd choose it again. Parking is street only, but there's lots of streets surrounding.

Had Double B's cater another grad party, and once again it was excellent! Their set up service is so helpful! Everyone loved the food. We had the brisket and the pulled chicken with slider rolls, along with baked beans, mac & cheese, coleslaw, and corn bread. So good! Every time we dine in or use their catering services, we end up raving fans. Highly recommend - for a casual dinner out, or for your next event.

We were looking for a lunch spot in West Allis and decided to stop at this place. I had been before and enjoyed it, but it was my husband's first time and he was excited to give it a try. We arrived just after the typical lunch rush and were seated right away, which was great. However, the service felt slower than expected. It took a while for our waitress to come by to take our drink and food orders, and there was a noticeable delay in getting our bill at the end as well. What made it more frustrating was that the restaurant wasn't particularly busy, several tables were open, and it didn't seem like they were understaffed. The delay didn't seem to come from being overwhelmed, which made it a bit more noticeable. That said, the food was good! We ordered the sliced brisket, wings, and of course, some cornbread. Everything was delicious. The brisket was tender and flavorful, the wings had a great texture, and the cornbread was a definite highlight, moist, slightly sweet, and packed with flavor. As for sauces, the Texas BBQ was our favorite, with the spicy one coming in a close second. Overall, while the service could have been a little better, the food was good and we'd come back again. Just something to be aware of if you're on a lunch break or limited for time, not sure if it's like that all the time.

Corn bread, Redneck Sunday, Mac and Pig, Brisket and chicken wings.

Great food and service. Didn't have to wait too long. Large variety of BBQ sauces. Solid drink selection and fairly broad beer list.

Plenty of space for parking in the back. Dark, smoky atmosphere with Asian interior designs. Perfect ambiance for BBQ! We had both Korean BBQ & hot pot, absolutely worth the price for both. The BBQ was by far everyone's favorite. We recommend the beef bulgogi, beef short ribs, and pork belly--these were the best for BBQ. Since it was all you can eat, we had a few servings of them. There was also a counter for different types of sauce one could get and a dessert section. The hot pot was great as well. We recommend the bone broth and the fish/shrimp/meatballs with it as well as udon noodles. The service was great overall. Our server was busy, but she managed to be attentive with us. We left with our belly full. We will absolutely come back.

We ordered the bulgogi, steak cubes, pork belly, spicy pork belly, beef tongue, rib meat, shrimp, creamy corn, fried buns, and a few other smaller items. The meat was all good quality! Our tables' favorite meat was the bulgogi for sure. We also loved the creamy corn and fried buns. However, beef tongue was so tough though I couldn't even bite into it (but honestly wasn't expecting to enjoy it!). The sauce bar was a fun touch to get exactly what we each liked. It was a little tricky being in a booth and getting people out to make their sauce combos though but we made it work. There is also a dessert bar but nothing was super intriguing to us and we were pretty full from the meal. The only downside was the service. Other servers seemed awesome but our waitress was totally aloof. She missed multiple orders of ours and we had to reorder those, and she acted super confused each time we had to tell her. She didn't give any direction on the process, and each time we wanted to add to the order we had to wave her down. I don't think she proactively checked on us once. A table nearby had the hotpot and that looked really good. We were intrigued and want to come back and try it. All in all, a great experience, and $31 per person for the amount of food you can rack up felt like a really good deal.

Well I'm definitely doing the rib tips but it was too early because they just went on the grill, see my pictures so I would have to stop back later in the day. 3 hours went by so I went back and asked if he still had some rib tips left and he said yes so I'm down with that. He is there Tuesday to Saturday 10:30 to 4pm he says. The rib tips looked amazing on the grill and I took a picture so you could see the before and after pictures of the cooked rib rips. I ordered the meat only for $10 because the sides didn't interest at all and did my car smell so good so I pulled over because I couldn't wait to try them. The rib tips had a nice looking bark that was seasoned nicely and tasty I thought. The rib meat had that little chew that I like because I don't like the mush fall off the bone meat. The rib tips were meaty and not all cartilage with most of the meat chopped off like some places. The meat was very tasty with that bark and a deep grilled flavor that I really liked, like a backyard bbq. I really like that he uses charcoal to cook his food because it's so hard to find places that cook with charcoal anymore and he seems like a like a really nice guy and he let me take my pictures which helps his business. I didn't even use the bbq sauce because the meat stands on its own by the way. There is no bbq in the immediate area that I can think of so this is a nice addition to the neighborhood if your looking for some tasty rib tips here you go. I would definitely go back for some rib tips again because as much as I like ribs I do like doing tips from time to time.

Came on a Monday night with a friend. Food: Really like the menu. Lots of diversity to choose from, and the prices are reasonable. We started with a couple of specialty cocktails. I had the Sazerac, and my friend had the OG Old Fashioned. Both were well made, and there was plenty of alcohol in each. For an appetizer, we got the Frogs on the Mound, which, as you can imagine, is 1/2 lb of frog legs on haystack onion rings. I haven't had frog legs in a while, and I thought these were very good. The breading was light, well seasoned, and not overcooked. The haystack onion rings were just okay. They could have been hotter and maybe seasoned (or just salted) a bit more. For our entrees, I got the Blackened Catfish, and he got the Grouper Tacos. Both of these meals were also very good. The blackened fish was the best part of my meal. It was excellently seasoned, cooked to the right temperature, and moist and flaky. Delicious! The collard greens were good, but would have been better with just a bit more pork. More pork is always better. The rice and beans were good too, but the temperature was less than hot. My friend enjoyed his Grouper Tacos, and the bite he shared with me was very good, except for the green peppers. I much prefer orange or yellow peppers, but I realize that's a personal taste issue. The tacos tasted fresh, the fish was tender, and the portions were good. Service: The place was about a quarter full. Even though we weren't in a hurry, the service got off to a bit of a slow start. After getting waters and menus, it took a while for our server to get back to us. I started to worry that this might be an issue for the rest of the evening, so I made a point of getting their attention. After that, things went smoothly. After ordering appetizers and entrees, the food came out in a timely fashion. All the staff we interacted with were helpful and friendly. Thanks, Sarah 1 and Sarah 2 :) Atmosphere: Besides the separate bar area, the dining room is a big open space with lots of four-top tables spread around. Around the walls there are posters, art pieces, and plenty of Mardi Gras beads. I wasn't sure at the time, but there was something a bit cramped about the interior. After looking at the pictures, I think it might have to do with the low, tiled ceiling. (I think this is the first time I have ever mentioned something about a tiled ceiling.) On this night, it was quiet and easy to have a comfortable conversation. Glad that we finally stopped in for a meal. With the exception of the initial service delay and some small issues with a couple of food items, it was a very good meal. Would definitely want to stop back again to try other parts of the menu.
