I'm so surprised this place is rated highly. The location of this coffee shop is inside the Lincoln square mall on level 2 and right by the escalators. I got a honey dark mocha ganache drinking chocolate with oat milk. To be honest, the oat milk tasted like whole milk and there was hardly any ganache. Only a "milky" taste. Our coffee order of a 12 oz. Iced Madagascar Vanilla Latte and a 12 oz. Americano added up to just under $10, after tax. I enjoyed my latte which was smooth and creamy with a mellow sweetness from the vanilla. However due to the price point, I wouldn't make a stop here regularly especially if ordering a basic drink that I could get elsewhere. They do offer a few signature drinks... I was on the fence between trying one of those, but opted for the latte since many of the specialty drinks sounded very sweet. I just wanted something simple to let the coffee speak for itself. The employees were friendly and handled long lines well, so all is good with service! They do offer a punch card, so make sure to grab one if you see yourself visiting often. Although I loved my latte down to the last sip, and it seemed crafted with care, I didn't taste that much of a difference as compared to other coffee shops. I ordered a Cortado, which was about five bucks - so pretty steep for a small drink I wasn't in love with. I will say that the ratio was spot on, as the milk cut through the acidity of the espresso. On a Sunday the place was pretty steady. A lot of people choose to get takeout, but there is some seating inside of Dote Coffee Bar, in addition to the general seating of the Food Hall. Tried the blood orange mocha (seasonal), hazelnut milk mocha and a caramel latte. All were brewed really well and tasted excellent. Tried a few macarons as well - fig, chocolate mint, pistachio and chocolate. They were incredibly delicious and indulgent. Id highly recommend these. Everything I've had from here is simply delicious. I've had the pecan brownie that's ooey and gooey and chocolatey. It's half the size but it's only $1.65, and worth every penny. wow....simply wow. I was on a business trip and needed some coffee. This was in the mall close to the hotel I was staying at so I went. I was wowed. I ended up going every day and some days twice. My friend told me about this new spot so I decided to give it try. It's on the second floor if you enter the new Lincoln Square building. It looked very trendy and modern so reminded me the cafe shops in Vancouver. The staff were friendly and helpful and there were many pastries to choose from. It was very quiet and many customers were chit chat there. I ordered the iced vanilla latte and it tasted good but the price was a little higher because it's located in new building. Had a fabulous iced hazelnut milk mocha and peanut butter cookie here while waiting for my wife who was shopping at Nordstrom Rack. Service was fast and friendly, prices are a little high but worth it. They even had a little mini tasting bar for you to try out a few things. The cookie was off the chains. Not sure who they order them from but will definitely try something something else cause the croissants looked hella good. Good amount of seating and really trendy layout but it's Bellevue. I have a severe dairy allergy. I asked for oat milk. I noticed the barista went to use regular milk. I reminded her I asked for oat milk and mentioned that I had an allergy. She got the oat milk out, and I went to sit down. Apparently she was pretty annoyed I asked this again, as after I went to sit down, she put the oat milk away and went to use dairy milk again, and I sat there and watched her make my drink with it. This could have sent me to the ER. I will never be coming back here. If I do, only to get a video of it happening so I have evidential proof for a proper lawsuit. For now, just warning others who have allergies to steer clear. The barista was a ginger. I seriously cannot believe the recklessness of some people. I am so glad I watched that happen before enjoying my drink. I threw it away and walked out. To management: No, I don't want free drinks or any reimbursement. While I think this is the best coffee on the Eastside, lately the service has gone WAY downhill. We typically visit here 3-4 times a week. Our last two visits saw us get totally ignored by the people working at the counter. On our last visit, we were literally the only two people in line and the two people working were standing right in front of us. They saw us walk up and then never looked up or acknowledged we were there after we were waiting to order, so we left after 5mins. Given we usually spend almost $20/visit after tip, we'll go elsewhere for a while. It's a cute cafe and the pastries are good. But if you're after good coffee you've come to the wrong place. You can see it in their process there isn't a lot of care for the coffee. Passed by this place after meetings at the WeWork space upstairs. Staff was friendly! The brightly colored croissants caught my eye. I am not a big coffee drinker, so this is just purely based on their food (croissant I ordered). So this was a matcha croissant that was $6 before tax... kinda expensive for a pastry. But meh it is Bellevue in a fancy building. The creme / custard inside was super super sweet and sticky, and oily. It was quite complimentary to the bitter matcha they sprinkled around rims of part of the croissant. However, mine sank all the way to the end of the croissant, so the first quarter was kinda tasteless. Would love to try out their other croissants soon. read more

This coffee bar has very limit choice of pastries. I went here last week, but did not get anything because my kids did not like anything. The pastries were all basic stuff like muffin, brownie, and cookies. I appreciate that they give more choices for people who cant take caffeinated drinks. I love coffee, but my body does not love it:(( Here are the reasons why this place got 3 stars. The drinks and pastries here are not cheap. My kid's small chocolate croissant's almost $5 and my 16 Oz hot chocolate's almost $5. The moose dessert thing is almost $7 here. Despite the high price, they serve everything in paper cup and paper bags. If they want to charge that kind of price, at least they should consider using mugs and plates. The tables also full of crumbs. I felt like paying 5 stars hotel price for food court services. In my pictures, my drink is in the mug because my husband requested the mug instead of paper cup. It was weird that we said it's for here, but they still wanted to pour it in a paper cup. Both of the staffs today were the most unfriendly baristas I have ever seen in Bellevue. They did not greet, smile or thank the customers. I am sick of Starbuck drinks but these people make me miss Starbuck's hospitality. The location is easy to spot, so it's nice to use this as the meet-up place. It's nice and cozy, but spacious enough. The decoration on the wall makes it modern feel. The coffee tastes much better than other coffee places and it has delicate/nice-looking dessert, bake items as well. They open late, and there's always people buying. The staff is nice as well. There's parking downstairs, so one should read the parking hours before parking here. And don't forget to get validation of parking. read more

Location reminded of the modern food courts around the world. They are classy and modern. Makes you feel like you are a customer they wish to serve and deserve high quality service for affordable prices, sometimes they do run higher. Joy of it all though. Can pick the price options you want and feel like you made a better choice than your typical fast food found in most shopping centers. We came earlier in the day. Was not too busy on a weekend, but who is up that early. As the day progressed the area was filled with people. Every inch had a body. Must be a good indicator to try the other areas. the shopping mall is connected by a sky bridge. Cool things is it has shade! Not that you need it to protect from the sun most of the year, but the rainy season would be great! I would love to come back a just walk around. Over all this place was beautiful. The chocolates aesthetically pleasing. The coffee superb, the right amount of bitterness and flavor. Everything made fresh! When I went it seemed to be a new place, but I'm a tourist and never did ask! Just means another trip in the future. The mocha is too sweet for me, but most things seem to be. I tried a pastry. Again I am horrible and cannot remember what it was. Just remember it was ok, it was the fruit pastry that truthfully caught my attention, but wanted to try something else. The employees were friendly, and I loved that they had compostable straws although they only had garbage bins available for customers, not recycle or compost. Almost a year later, and nothing has really changed. I've noticed some new staff members- but consistency of coffee is still great. They have added some new seasonal pistachio items which were very tasty. Some staples are the quiches, toasted milk cookie, brownies, Swiss apple tarts, and if they have them - the turkey and havarti sandwich. We went here on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't too crowded. The space is pretty big and has a few tables as well as bar seating. My mom ordered a regular croissant and a cappuccino and I ordered a kouign amann with a cortado. Both our coffees were flavorful and the ratios were perfect, but the prices were a bit steep for small coffees. The pastries on the other hand, were not as good. I personally found the croissant to be not flaky enough and too airy. The kouign amann was too sugary on the outside while not being flaky enough on the inside. However, the workers are very friendly and will gladly answer any questions you have about the menu. They offer some samples of their homemade spreads on the side and they make their own chocolate.
