My daughter lit up as we stepped into DotDotBang; it was akin to entering a wonderland bursting with adorably cute and vibrant treasures. The prices are a bit high, but many items are unique and purchasing online would likely cost more. They have a 50% off area, that is worth a look. They have loads of squishies and plushies, mochi plushes, from Sanrio, Pusheen, Hello Kitty, Tokidoki, Molang, Pokemon and on and on. They are so nice and helpful here! I'm surprised by the prior reviews. Things get super busy and there were only two on staff. So, it did require a patient wait for help. I purchased several silver earrings from them, as they have the best prices in the city for earrings from Korea and especially 625 silver ones! Their jewelry is locked so you have to ask for help. I can totally understand since the store gets busy and shoplifting can be a huge problem. They also have a lot of stationary, clothes, and other cute Japanese and Korean items. read more

Very cute store that sells plushies and other decorations. If you love sushi, Sailor Moon, Pokemon, and Kirby, this is the right store for you. You'll find tons of stuffed animals in varying sizes. Prices are a bit high, about $20+ per plushy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I asked if there was any extra plushies in the back that we could get (new and untouched) and one of the workers went out of their way to check for me. Overall, customer service was excellent. I'd like to start off by saying the staff is wonderful, nice and extremely helpful. The issue I have with this store is that it is about 30% name brand (Sanrio, Rilakkuma) and about 70% counterfeit. They sell cheap, extremely bad quality dupes of Listen Flavor and Pretty Angelic clothing. I'm not sure how that's even legal. I was incredibly appalled when I saw a counterfeit keychain DUPE of the same keychain I was wearing on my bag that I got from an anime convention. It was a chainsaw man fan art. Stealing from small artists is incredibly gross, again, lawsuit waiting to happen. TL;DR Save your money and just buy shit online because this store is just an in person AliExpress. read more

I would give this store a ZERO if I could. my daughter received a stuffed animal as a Christmas present from the Grapevine store, and opened the Velcro strap. When she opened it, the velcro had already apparently been ripped off from the animal and it looked like someone had glued it back. We took it back to exchange it the day after Christmas (not asking for a refund, just to exchange it) - we were told we could not exchange it because "we broke it." This place is not safe! They are not that big of a store but they are really packed. They had 5 employees when I went and nobody was monitoring the capacity. While I was shopping, the store capacity got up to 40+. Meanwhile the Asian male owner was walking around the whole time with not a worry in the world. After I spoke up about the store being too crowded to an employee, they started to try to maintain the legal capacity. However I still find it ridiculous that their stated capacity is 25 (not including their 5 employees) when other similar sized shops in the mall have capacities of only 4-10. The money over safety attitude of this store's owner makes me not want to come back. read more

I took my daughter and her friends to this store today. One of her friends was told she had to immediately buy an item ($12) she wanted. To which I said I would hold it since she was waiting on my daughter. Another was searching for a particular color in an item and was about to look in the box under when an employee told her she couldn't look in that box because they aren't opening it until the first box was empty. When she asked him if he had it in a certain color he said all we have is what's on the shelf. Next, my daughter wanted a key chain and the lady had to remove it from a safety peg ($6.99) and told her and me that she would have to keep the item and the one I was holding for her friend behind the register until we were ready to pay. My daughter loved the store but I did not like the service so I will not be bringing her back. read more

My kids and I love this store, we've been coming here since it was a kiosk. The workers are always so polite and helpful, and will go out of their way to help you find items. Some of the items are a bit expensive, but seeing as it is a small business I don't mind spending my money here! With this being said, my family and I came to visit yesterday on the weekend for a change, and were met with utter chaos. The store is pretty small, but even with a max capacity of 25, it was so crowded that you could barely walk around. The line to check out was also taking up space, which made it even more difficult to walk around the store. For whatever reason the staff were also mostly in bad moods. One of the staff members was looking for something and they couldn't find it and ended up angrily yelling to another staff from across the store. At one point this same staff member also mentioned very loudly that they were looking for other jobs, which I found very unprofessional. There were two staff members at one register, doing God knows what, which caused a lot of confusion and held up the line. The other cashier had literally just clocked in, and while she was trying to check people out, staff were pestering her with questions which again slowed down the growing line. At one point, while the poor girl was trying to check someone out, two staff members were asking her questions at the same time about something that she obviously didn't know the answer to, and during the confusion one of the staff members yelled at her in front of the whole line of people, which made all of us very uncomfortable. Out of the five or six staff in the store, there were only about two who looked composed, and not angry or irritated. After hearing the girl yell at the cashier we left the store immediately and decided to come back once they were less busy, seeing as the staff couldn't compose themselves when crowded. When we returned later in the day and the store was less busy, the staff were once again, kind and polite as usual. I understand how staff might get frustrated during heir crowded times, however, the yelling that was happening between them just because they were a little crowded made my whole family uncomfortable and stressed out just being in the store. My family and I still love this store, and will continue to come, although never again on a weekend, however it would be nice if staff were educated on remaining professional and calm during crowded hours, and if they were able to make a more reasonable capacity. read more

Even though this store is small it can be very overwhelming to be in if it's your first time! The employees are also very kind! Will never set foot in this store again. Besides being way overpriced, their employees need training on how to deal with customers. I went to their store with my daughter and nephew at the Stonebriar Mall in Frisco, and one of the employees approached and asked if I had a mask in my bag or if I had been vaccinated. First of all, the contents of my purse is non of his business, much less if I had been vaccinated. That was completely inappropriate way out of line. According to him, I could not be in the store, so I said to him that's fine, then he could not have my business and I left. Why would I spend my money there? Never again. They get -0- stars.
