We recently had a group outing for the cheer team at my daughter's high school, and we had so much fun. There are so many wonderful things Paint N Party offered to us. The selection of ceramics was plentiful, it was hard to choose what to paint because the selection was so grand. The studio is great for all ages of students/kids. The staff is super nice and helpful for all things from paint color, ceremic help, etc. The turn around time to pick up your finished pottery is quick and efficient also. I want to give a shout out to this place. Just got a call today at my daughter's birthday plate was ready. I came up to this place on the 21st of January to Have a late celebration for my daughter turning 11. Shout out to the staff that worked that day. They did an awesome job. I think it was a little busy and there was a lot going on. Did have to step into kind of help facilitate the transition from one event to the next. I think if I do that the next time I will have to make a greater spacing between two birthday party events. This was more so of a meet and greet for a collaboration of my daughters friends for multiple schools as well as athletic teams. This was a time to sit, paint, and get to know one another. One another. I am surprised that the ladies did have an awesome time here. I must admit I was a little skeptical and thought this might be a little young for them to do. With all of the ladies being in a range of 10 to 12 years old. I wanted to make sure that this was not something that was too infantile, if I may use that terminology. Old for this. So my boyfriend and I have gone to another local ceramic place. But we found this one on Groupon and decided to give it a try. First off if you can get the Groupon or not I recommend this place either way. We had it and still used some of our money to pay the difference on the projects we picked. You arrive and you start by picking what you'll be painting. They have ceramics or plaster pieces. The ceramics you pick up a week or two later after they've been fired. With the plaster going home the same day cause all you do is paint it with regular acrylic paint. We picked ceramics, I started with the owl which was $25 and my boyfriend picked the lighthouse. You then pay for your project and choose colors. This is where it varies for most places I've gone too. They pour the colors for you. Which I'm not a huge fan of. If your painting something large. You'll be making numerous trips to the counter to get colors and refills. It's a great place for beginners. I wish they had a little more color choices. But they have the basics so that's fine. Staff was nice and helpful. I also wish they had carving sticks. We learned a trick at the other studio we go to. If you make a mistake you can erase it with these little wooden carving sticks. You just gently scratch off the paint. So if your use to that trick we brought our own tooth picks which did the trick and saved our projects when we made a mistake. We took 3 trips to finish, which they allow since you've already paid for you pieces. It was our third trip I made the little elephant which was $10. So that's always nice, you don't feel to rushed you can take your time and come back to keep working. Overall nice studio, if your new to painting ceramics it's a great studio. I am 36 and have painted numerous pieces throughout the years here. First, I love the wide selection of pieces to pick from. One wall has a selection made from plaster and those are $11.50; those are then home the same day and can be sprayed with glitter if you choose! The rest of the building is full of ceramic pieces priced according to size and how detailed the pieces are. Pieces include money banks, figurines, plates, mugs, wall hangings, etc. Second, I love the system for picking out paint. If you've picked a piece made from plaster, you receive a tray full of at least 20 or so paints. If you've selected a porcelain piece, you are asked to pick up to six colors of the paints offered for porcelain; you may pick more as needed. To pick these paints, you look at a board with painted and numbered squares so you know how the paint will looked once fired. Third, I love that within a week of painting your porcelain piece, it is fired and ready to be brought home. Forth, I love there is NO fee to paint there. You only pay for what you pick out! Fifth, the employees are kind and helpful. This place has been open for many, many years and I hope it's open for many more! read more

We picked a spring break weekday to try our hands at pottery painting and good thing we did it was so fun and relaxing and found some talent we didn't know we had! They have a great selection of pottery designs to chose from some practical like coffee mugs to the very whimsical like bag of chip piggy banks. You pay for your pottery then select six colors of paint, head to a table and get creative! The staff is helpful and friendly. It's fun place for kids but the price is a little high even after Groupon deal. It is confusing about the Groupon situation and they don't even care about it but you have to pay more for the product you choose. We ended up paying $40 each. My bowl has bubbles all over after I got home and found out and it looks terrible. The lid won't even close all the way for the tall cup. They gave you little color on a plate and advised you not to use too much paint. My experience only. read more

Location-Right on the corner of Independence and Parker! Next door to sushi shack. Plenty of parking adjacent to the store (a bit limited in the front). Price- It can get expensive if you are doing a family outing. BUT there are pieces that are cheaper. Obviously the bigger the more expensive. I recommend prepping any younger children before hand not to touch anything. Everything is out on display on shelves. Small hands can easily knock over one or pieces. You break you buy! Space- The Space was nicely organized. Small but suitable. Not a place for larger groups of 15 or more. Tables are set in sets of 4. They have recently upgraded tables and the interior which has cleaned up the place and given it new life (We've been previously and tables were old, space definitely had character through the years.) Staff- Young, Friendly and attentive. Experience- Based off our 3 visits we've only had two problems. Picking up our items sometimes took a while, since they had trouble locating it. Not a big deal but still think there could be a better pick up process. However a reoccurring problem that does taint the experience is the paint. While I understand there is a 6 color limit and I understand they are trying to prevent paint from going to waste (esp with little ones) I wish they would consider the amount of paint dispersed if you're only using 4 colors and have 2 extra paint spots. i have twice painted large items and they won't give me extra paint for my main color even when I had extra spots on my tray. I pointed out that I am using a limited number of colors and the base color for my objects was one color. Unfortunately for me this meant standing up and getting more of the same one color every 2 minutes. A bit of a hassle if there is a line, and after my 4th or 5th trip up I started to feel like I was bothering the staff. We will return! We've brought a lot of family through the doors from young to old and everybody has a blast. read more

We walked in to check out the place there was an employee behind the counter that didn't greet us or even acknowledge us. We walked around looking at the different items we could paint for about 7 minutes. Still no one approached and asked if we needed help. We finally went to the counter and asked how everything works. The employee explained we pick our piece and then let her know if we need help and she will get us set up. The place was hot and messy also not everything had a price marked. She is patient and understanding and kind. Makes every person feel at home and appreciated. Her smile his contagious, and lights up the place. When I come and Nicole isn't here the place is just not the same. She is doing an amazing and awesome job on the party room. I enjoyed painting the pieces I made. I painted three of them, over three separate visits. The staff is friendly and it is much more relaxed and less crowded, during the week. My problem with this place is that they had trouble during pick up!! They couldn't find one of my pieces; I had to return another day to get it! The last piece was supposed to be ready on a certain day. I drove there and it wasn't ready... which means another trip to go get it. That makes five trips... two just for pick ups! read more

I had a coupon for this place and my friends and I went to check it out on a Sunday afternoon. The ladies working were very helpful and super nice. It was a nice relaxing experience and they have all kinds of pottery to paint. I wasn't able to finish painting my piece so I went back on a Tuesday afternoon. When I arrived there was a women picking out her colors for her pottery and it took the women behind the counter forever to pour out the paints. I think molasses moves 10X faster than this women but anyway she was friendly. I'm not sure if the owners look at reviews online but if you do I think you should have someone working with this women because even opening the paint lids took a huge amount of energy for her. I felt bad asking for more paint each time because it seemed like it was a big inconvenience for her to get up and help me. Anyways, I still had a good time and I plan to go back again sometime. read more
