The good is that it was a blast getting to create something so individually unique with a fun group while discussing out favorite hobby. It was the first time for a lot of us and instructions were clearly explained so that we understood what would give us the best results. There are a lot of colors, tools, and other items that you can use to make your piece truly your own. The not so good was the customer service. I don't know if it was because we were a large group, but the individual that was initially set to assist us with explanations and gathering our paint seemed to be put out and not happy to help. She wasn't really available to us as we had questions come up as we started painting our pieces. It wasn't until later where another individual seemed to take over that the mood shifted. She was very attentive and helpful. She came and checked up on us a few times. I regret not getting her name but she was exceptional. She was the saving grace for the experience. Overall, a fun experience that I can see myself doing again with friends for a girls night, and something to do on date night with my husband. I'm still waiting for my piece to be completed so I'm excited to see it when it's ready.

But what really sets them apart is how helpful and encouraging they are. If you're feeling indecisive or need inspiration, they always have great suggestions and creative ideas to get you started. This past Christmas, we took our 2 1/2-year-old, and the owner went above and beyond to help us create the most precious keepsake. She helped us smoosh our child's little hands onto a plate (which, if you've ever tried, you know can be a challenge!). Then, for just a small extra fee, their in-house artist hand-painted a reindeer with "antler hands" and "Merry Christmas" wording so perfectly--it looked like it was laser-etched or Cricut-cut, but she freehanded it and layered it three or four times to absolute perfection. It turned out SO cute. I cannot emphasize that enough! The selection of pieces they have for painting is actually useful--which I love. It's not just vases or teacups (though they do have those if you want them). They have things you'd actually use in your daily life, like yarn bowls (perfect if you crochet, knit, or do fiber arts), coaster sets, and all sorts of seasonal decor for Halloween, Christmas, Easter, and more. It makes the experience even better knowing that you're painting something fun that you'll also get to use or display in your home. Beyond pottery, they also offer other types of art, like mosaic glass projects. I didn't try that yet, but the examples they had on display looked really fun. I'd love to go back and give it a shot! The location is also fantastic. It's in a great part of town, where you can easily make a whole day of it. After painting, you can grab something to eat at one of the nearby restaurants, then take a stroll around the little duck pond just down the way. If you're like my husband and me and love all-day dates, this spot is a perfect starting point for a fun, relaxing day together. Whether you're looking for a solo creative escape, a fun date night, a get-together with friends, or even a special event like a bridal shower, this is the place to go! 1st and foremost, the girl (I mean girl) helping explained nothing that we understood. she spoke…read morefast / talked as if we knew what she was talking about and would just walk away as we are still trying to understand. we made cut glass bowls and once a man came over and really helped us to understand what we were doing. the girl never told us half of the products available to us to use and left us asking ourselves questions. we had to fill out an index card with our information on it (i was guessing they would call us when ready) but never did. i just called the girl that answered the phone said yes its ready, never asked my name, never asked when I came in and stated we don't text or call anyone when the projects are ready. for what we spent ( I spent as it was my friends bday) was not even close to the service we were given and I will never go back there again and I will tell everyone I know my experience.

I think it's 54? I wouldn't have picked it for my mug the first time I went if I had known the color would change -I asked someone working if I could get something to draw really fine white lines. She gave me a squeeze bottle that came out really thick. I saw others bottle had a thin metal piece coming from the top, but she refused to let me use that because it was "too hard to take off" from another bottle. To me, it just felt like she didn't want to put in the effort to help me Overall, it's a lot of fun! The studio fee is $8 per person, but 2x a week they have deals to save on this.

New hobby unlocked (!!!) I had some of the most fun,…read morerelaxing, and engaging time trying pottery with the wheel for the first time a few weeks ago as I celebrated my rotation around the sun. It was a marvelous experience from start to finish, and that's all thanks to the awesome instructor, Corrie, who was super patient and oh so helpful in lending a hand (literally) to give our projects the pep they needed if they were looking a bit sad. The projects started off in the third stage (after being wedged and centered) which was a very nice of them since I heard that the first steps are annoying and time-consuming. They do offer a 4-week pottery class that meets weekly where you get to learn all the stages from start to finish, which I will absolutely sign up for once I'm in the area more consistently. We were able to mold whatever container our hearts (or clay, really) desired. I came in wanting to make a chawan (matcha bowl) and I think the shape turned out much better than anticipated, but I'm afraid it'll shrink in the kiln, oof. Their glazing and firing process will take about 3 weeks after we make our piece, so I've yet to see the final product but will cross my fingers it'll be functional for my daily matcha routine. You get to choose which glaze from a variety of options, and they'll do that step for you. But in the intensive class, you get to paint and do more detailed work, and I got to see some of the finished pieces that were on display after finishing up my piece. It's super inspiring to see the variety of pieces you can make, and I'm already dreaming of other projects to embark on~ What's even better is this studio also offers more than pottery, including painting, dyeing fabrics, sewing, and crochet courses too, all of which I lovelovelove.

The prices are very reasonable and they always do a great job explaining the process and helping us out. Recently my mother hosted a birthday for my little sister and it was a blast. They held more than 11 people and did a great job glazing our paintings in 1hr. We had the other hour to eat pizza that we provided although they have variety options that includes cake and pizza as well, we just didn't choose that since we had custom made cakes and other items.
