Although it does not carry what I'm specifically interested in, if you like to play board games in a relaxed social atmosphere and pick up more modern-day collectibles, this might be the place for you. Madness has a wide variety of collector card sets, board games, and also modern action figure lines, with Star Wars and G.I. Joe as large focal points. Madness does carry some vintage Star Wars figures from the '70s/'80s but it really shines with the franchise toy lines that have come after that heyday, with deep inventory in the sequel trilogy figures, Power of the Force, post-prequel movie and streaming show figures, and the Retro Collection. This is also the place if you love the Pop! Funko figures (which I do not in the least) as Madness has definitely gone all in on the craze. I found the staff to be helpful with my questions during my visit and they gave me space to think about some items I was mulling over. Although I probably won't be a frequent visitor, I appreciate the unique offerings Madness brings, especially in creating community.

The guy working the counter took my information and acted optimistic about getting it to me etc. Never got called about the pre-order. Months after the release, I had to purchase elsewhere. I understand there are minimum order quantities with the distributors and that I might have been the only person interested in the TPB, but a warning or update would have been nice.

Had a nice chat with the employee about library and comic shop partnerships and was offered some stuff to give my students. Walked out with a statue I'd been hoping to find again after giving my first one away as a prize. Very nice, knowledgeable staff with a wide variety of games and comics and the prices on the statues were not marked up. It is a little out of my way, but I'll make a point of stopping in whenever I am in that part of DFW again.

Uber friendly, patient, and full of knowledge of all things comic related. The store is very very small... a bit uncomfortable for my taste, especially when there are 3 or more people in there. I swear if this kid could've looked through the bulk he would've had such an amazing experience! (They have good cards). Instead he walked away with a single card from the display. I had to introduce myself and explain I was there to inquire about selling some Pokémon cards. He then told me they only buy in bulk. Fine - I actually came in with a huge collection plus a rare Dragonite V Alternate Art 192/203 (Evolving Skies Full Art Alt Art). SECOND - I asked if he wanted to at least look at the rare card. He declined without hesitation, then added that shops "only pay 20%-30% of the value." That is completely FALSE. THIRD - After all of this, I said "okay" and wrapped it up. But was I thanked for coming in? Was I told "have a good day" or even a simple "bye"? Nope. Just another blank stare. This shop clearly does not value its customers or show even the bare minimum of courtesy. Even if they don't want to purchase something, the least they could do is provide basic customer service. Instead, I walked away feeling disrespected and dismissed. Absolutely awful experience.

A great friend of mine brought me here last month as I was about to leave to go back home, and she showed me some of the fidget toys she had bought for herself. I instantly had to have a few of them and fortunately, they had them in stock. There is something so amazing about picking up what you think you wish to purchase and be able to hold that item in your hand and the Toy Tree is one such place to have this connection. The young lady who helped us was amazing and super friendly and helpful. This has the feel of a store that has been in someone's family line for a long time, although this is not based on fact.
