Do NOT come here it may look nice from the photos and they do have a great selection but the who I'm assuming is owner has one of the meanest and worst customer service I've ever seen visiting any comic store. I was looking through a comic to see if I liked the art the story just skimming through it and he walks up to me and first asks if we're looking for anything specific then says "We're not gonna be reading through comics and reshelving today" then takes it out of my hands and puts it in the back of the store then when my brother said we were going to buy it he gave a half assed apology saying people do it all the time and I would forgive him for that case BUT I was not only looking at a comic before that one I was holding it around the store then when my brother found the one I was looking for I put the comic I HAD back where it goes on the shelf in numerical order and assuming they have cameras the old bald white dude that was being a dick should've seen that but I guess not. Please don't come here the owner is very passive aggressive and one time we went in, this employee was YELLING at the other employee for grabbing a wrong comic, like come on people seriously if you care about customer service don't come here maybe like two of the employees are chill. read more

Best selection in the DFW. I was able to find back issues for a series that was out of print and didn't have a TPB yet. This place is stocked with all kinds of good stuff. Service is good. If you set up a pull with them, be sure that you are timely with pick up. Mine got closed because I got swamped with work and couldn't come in for a while. This was my bad and I don't fault the owner for doing so. There are some other reviews that call out the owner. Personally, I haven't had any issues with him. I do agree that the employees do ask if they can help you a lot. I think this could be remedied by them asking, "Would you like any recommendations, or are you looking for something specific". The pricing is good and industry standard, to my understanding. I do wish that all of the new issues are bagged and boarded and factored into the price for ease of collection and transport. Take a visit to the store, see what's new, and admire the owner's Godzilla collection. read more

The best selection of comics that I've ever been and I've been to plenty. There's also a good number comic book figures to choose from and some other stuff like mangas and anime figures as well. But if comics is your thing this would be the place for you. Staff were all friendly and accommodating. Will definitely return and look for good deals I'd rather buy from comic bookstores but if there's deal somewhere else like online then I'm going whoever has the better deal. Top notch comic book store (in a bit of a sketchy strip mall) with a huge assortment of new and recently new comics titles as well as a generous helping of graphic novels, quite a few collectible statues, big and small, and the added bonus of hard-to-find back issues. I'm always on the lookout for vintage DC war titles and I left with a fair number of needed issues of Our Fighting Forces and Star-Spangled War stories. On my visit, they had a fair number of G.I. Combat, Sgt. Rock, and even Weird War Tales, but I already owned all of them. Nevertheless, I was also able to pick up a sizable number of new titles and will certainly be back to check out their stock on my next visit to Dallas. read more

Came back here and it's such a nice place to go. Normally my usual comic shops lack collected editions like Absoloutes and Omnis but this place has it all with a great way of keeping up issue to issue. If you're looking for a COMIC store, this is most definitely for you. read more

I am not into comics at all but my sons best friend wanted to check this place out during his visit to Texas. When we entered, we were greeted with a huge Texas welcome. It was refreshing because most businesses act like you are bothering them when you go in. They have many comics and from what I could tell, a great variety and selection. You can also pick up some Funko Pops or art figures as well. All of the employees were helpful and nice. We were checked in multiple times to ask how we were doing. If you are into comics this place is pretty cool. They are still wearing masks and ask patrons to do so as well but not all customers had masks so you could go without. read more

If I could rate 0 stars I would but unfortunately I can't. I usually never make any reviews anymore but this really nailed it. The bald white guy in the front was very rude right from the start to me and my girlfriend. Supposedly this is the owner. I had brought in a bag full of comics and my girlfriend had another box full of a set of robin comic books. She took it out and gave it to him and he immediately said "This isn't as great as you think." In my head I was like okay a little rude but whatever. Please note that I had already told him that we had NO knowledge about comic books at all. To cut the long story short, he asked to pick out some comic books to his liking and asked for $80 for them. My question that I asked was is that a good price for them do you think? Instead of enlightening me about comics he started to belittle me about I could sell it but it would take a long time because he has a "customer-based". If he would've told me the logic of why this is a reasonable price to give me and instead of spending his time belittling me and giving his employee an attitude as well maybe I would've gave it to him. But to be honest I rather just gave those comics to a homeless instead for their kindness. Please shut this place down lmao. read more

This place has a vast selection. And it is admirable, but no matter the sales pitch or reason, they're one of the most (if not the most) expensive comic places in dallas. They're helpful with info, but it's based on telling you that "out of print" titles are sooo precious (as if there isn't the internet) they charge you full original price no matter how dinged up the book is. read more

I've been coming to this place since I was a kid, I'm 30 now... they have a great selection of stuff.. and I've spent thousands of dollars here.. but the reason why I'm writing this review is because the owners in the people that work there are so intrusive it feels uncomfortable to shop there. What one may confuse as good customer service is actually more of a annoyance specially when they're just keeping their eyes on you trying to pressure you and following you almost everywhere you go! The main owner is quite rude to people and gets irritated very easily for no reason... in other words great products but horrible shopping experience.. just feels like they're annoyed to sell things to people which doesn't make sense! In a time when many comic book stores are shifting their focus to card games and tots to survive,this store keeps the focus on the books. Really good hardcover selection. The staff is very helpful to both me and my daughter who's is getting into comics. I have actually started a pull list again with them which I have not done in nearly 10 years. I went to another big comic shop in town just yesterday, and was treated with disregard by the flamboyant owner. When I asked for high grade comics he told me that he does not carry them because "that's not our customer". So basically he told me that I was not his customer. Not smart. So I went on a mission to find the best comic shop in DFW which led me to Titan Comics. Very good decision. Walking in I was overwhelmed with the amount of comics, figurines and massive sideshow and hottoys selection they had. The place looked like it had been a round a while. It smelled like the real deal, and I knew I was in the right place. I told the man behind the counter, who was later revealed to be the owner, what I was there for high grade 9.8 CGC comics. He smiled, and produced more than 100 slabbed CGC graded comics... I was blown away with the vast selection, the banter and discussion, hanging out and finally a little negotiation. End the end I walked with fair market deals on two very nice pieces, and feeling like I found my new home comic shop. Thanks to TITAN for valuing my business and treating me with respect. New comics, back issues, graphic novels, manga, card games, funko pops, statues or comic supplies. This store has it all! Big store. Well lite and clean! This is a great looking shop filled with anything comic book or fantasy related. Even has a kid friendly area if you are looking for something for kids or need to keep your child occupied while you shop the store and there is a ton to explore. The greatest strength of the shop is their robust back issues section in the middle of the store! Three long rows of metal drawer are filled with treasures! They really put a lot of work into keeping it all neat and in order so it's really easy to find what you're looking for. It's a very pleasant experience hunting for older books that is miles beyond what any shop in the Dallas area has to offer. Another great thing are the staff. Jeremy the owner is quite a character who is very proud of his shop and it shows. Ask him anything and he'll have an immediate answer. Now a warning to non adults...or parents dropping off kids. Jeremy has a hard time with unsupervised kids and will kick out teenagers that just wanna hang out. Personally I wish he wouldn't do that but it's his store. So just a warning. We have been coming here for almost 2 years. Titan Comics has one of the best selections of comics I have ever seen, he has a large collection of slab books, there is a massive collection of back issues, and you're almost guaranteed to find anything that you need there. Most of the time you can ask him and he can find you anything that you need in a short amount of time. Ever since they have expanded the shop, their collection in the front of house has grown. It's usually busy nearly any time that I go in. The staff is very helpful, and they take the time to show you around and help you find what you want or need. His prices are fair, and he has a few sales a year. I have found a few things to be a little bit on the pricey or side, but they are very patient with their layaway plans. My husband is constantly buying books there that are 200 plus dollars, and they give us plenty of time to pay it off. I have read a lot of reviews saying that Jeremy is arrogant, or rude. I genuinely would not take him that way, he is very knowledgeable, and him and my husband banter back and forth a lot. He has a very outward personality. That you just can't take too seriously. The more you get to know him, the more you'll realize that he has a great sense of humor. No matter what we will continue to keep coming back to Titan comics for as long as my husband is collecting. And I suggest you bring your business here as well. read more

This shop has a good selection of comics and statues that are well organized. I don't think I'll be back because of the owner. He is one of those super weird and loud comic dealers that has no self perception or customer service skills. We asked about some comics and he talked down to us like we haven't been collecting for 20+ years and he was yelling across the store for his employees, which was just odd. We wanted to buy some things but decided against it because of his attitude and how he treats people. I wouldn't waste my time here when you could go to Madness Games and Comics or Duncanville Bookstore for a better selection. I would also hit up Sanctuary Books and games for better prices on statues and that has an owner who is cool as hell. read more

I work at a high end comic/toy shop in the bay area and when a customer comes in the shop to ask about a product and if we have it in the system but not on the floor I immediately ask if they wish for me to order it, don't be a dick and just brush it off! Titan Comics is not your average comic book store. I've been a comic fan for eight years now, gathering some...odd tastes along the lines. I've lived in 3 states and have a number of favorite comic shops, but Titan is at the top of the list. Titan Comics has one of the most impressive backlogs I've ever seen. Most comic shops don't care about anything newer than the 80's but older than 2 years ago, which makes collecting comics from the 90's and 00's difficult. Titan has old comics, new comics, and everything in between, arranged alphabetically. Not by universe. Not by company, but by the name on the comic's cover. If they are out of an issue you're looking for, let them know. The staff marks down highly sought after comics and will typically restock with your missing issues. The customer service is pretty friendly, though it's obvious that not everyone there is a die hard comic fan. Which isn't a bad thing. I have yet to listen to a staff member ranting about comics. And while they don't have much in line of gaming, Titan has a large selection of collectibles and decor for sale, including custom artwork by local artists. So you can go and support the arts while you're reading the arts. I think the store is family owned and run, which makes the hours less than desired, but still, it's great comics at great prices. I used to go to Titan a lot at their first two locations. I was in my mid thirties and practicing law, I spent a fair amount in Jeremy's store. I stopped going in due to Jeremy's breathtaking rudeness. I brought my children in on a nice Autumn day about 10-12 years ago. My son who was 8 and he was beginning to really enjoy our trips to Titan. When we got to the store he really had to go to the bathroom, I asked Jeremy not once but twice if my son could use the facilities. Jeremy said sorry the BR is for staff only no public restrooms. He was openly hateful. I had seen Jeremy be rude before but I guess it really hits home when he's rude to your child. Took my son to the Whataburger on NW Highway let him use the facilities and ate lunch. Ive never been back. Now realize I had spent 5-10 k in his store in the previous two years . Id also sold him a golden age Cap and A Tales to Astonish 27 as well. Ive spent a lot on comics since them , ask The Guys at Superworld, Bob Storms, , My Comics Shop and Quality Comix. But I've never given Jeremy a dime since. read more

Ya know that Twilight Zone with Burgess Meredith where he's a bank teller who wishes everyone would leave him alone so that he could spend all his time reading books, and then when everyone's killed in nuclear Armageddon he scours the library, grabs every book he can find, and intends to spend the rest of eternity reading? If I was Burgess Meredith in that Twilight Zone, I would've headed to Titan FIRST! (Uh...except that in the Twilight Zone, he breaks his glasses and can't read...so he ends up killing himself. I won't have that problem thanks to lasik surgery!) They have 70,000 back issues packed into a location that's the size of a small gym. The place is clean, it's well organized, the employees are nice, and the owner knows EVERY SINGLE BOOK that he has and where it's located. Sometimes the prices can be a little high, but what do you expect from the store that has everything? Generally speaking you can buy it at Titan, or else you're not getting it at all! This place is what comic book stores look like in my dreams! And yeah, I do mean my nightmares, too. Ya see, Titan has virtually every comic book I've ever wanted, and even MORE that I would want if only I'd ever heard of them! I could never afford (or read) them all, not in my wildest dreams! So I guess it's kind of a nightmare...but a REALLY NERDY nightmare. (The kind of nightmare where girls still laugh at me for reading comic books... *sigh*) read more

Expert Touch Every once and while my nerdy side comes out and I want something from the comic book store. That can range from buying Dr. Who toys for my niece and nephew, who fell in love with Matt Smith's character, to me wanting to reread Civil War in time for the Cap's latest return to the big screen. The awesome thing about Titan Comics is the vast quantity and variety of toys, comics, books, memorabilia, t shirts, etc. On my last visit I came in 2 minutes before closing (should have checked their times) but the owner said no worries and got me in. Didn't rush me but rather helped me get what I wanted. That was an Old Spider Man issue with Captain America related to Civil War, from which I could only remembered a small speech the Cap gave Spidey. From that he was able to narrow it down to the series and the most likely Issue Number range. We went through them until we found it. They have an awesome selection, so if you can overlook the passive aggressive attitude of the shop owner then check them out. My husband and I have gone in quite a few times and have always bought something from this shop, but every time the owner has had this mean attitude. This last time we made the mistake of using our card for a less than $10 dollar purchase, which was our fault since there is a sign stating that there is a minimum. We would have been more than happy to pick up something else to comply with the rules, but instead of kindly letting us know, he waited until after our transaction to point this out and when we apologized only said that "It was fine but the bank had taken most of his profit." We felt absolutely terrible of course but we found no need for his comment. My husband also had a few questions about his layaway plan for his statues. All questions were answered rather coldly, even though for a while we where the only customers there. I could pass this off as him having a bad day but this isn't the first time he has reacted like this towards us. So, thank you Titan Comics, you truly have a great selection but your owner is a completely different story. I'd rather spend my money elsewhere than dealing with this rude gentleman again. read more
