Nice place in town, friendly staff & good food. However, when ordering out the portion is extremely small, cheap on portions. I've spent $40 on chips n guac, and steak fajitas. Rice is a scoop, the bag of chips for this entire meal is half the size of a brown kids paper lunch bag. Which is wrong. I like to support my local businesses but my gosh I have told them about this and they continue being so cheap on their take out's and their prices are sky high! I was super excited to try since I heard great things...however, my experience did not add up. -Manager told me that I was charged $10 in tax and credit card fees!(Nowhere does it say that if you pay with credit card you will be charged a fee.) Enjoyed a wonderful meal at Dos Amigos with some friends. We are extremely loyal Hacienda patrons (when it comes to Mexican food), however, a friend invited us to join them at Dos Amigos. They were extremely accommodating of our large party (10), and the service was solid throughout our meal. I typically stay away from the taco/burrito/fajita selections, as I find that the authentic Mexican options are always a treat. That being said, by suggestion of our waiter, I went with one of their fajitas. It was without a doubt the best fajita i've ever had. My only criticism is that their sangria isn't as good as Hacienda's. If you are looking for am off-the-beaten-path Mexican meal, I highly suggest Dos Amigos. AWESOME, AMAZING gem on the side of the road! I attend Church nearby and wanted Mexican, so after a quick Yelp search I was pleasantly surprised to find this place so close to where I worship. The atmosphere and ambiance on a Sunday afternoon was quaint and relaxing. The chairs, tables, glasses and a beautiful wall mural speak nicely to the culture and transport you to a small town in Mexico. The food was great! It came out quickly but not fast food quick... I judge Mexican cuisine/restaurants based on how good their mole sauce is and this hit on all cylinders! I had the chicken enchiladas and the mole was perfect. The mole was velvety and dark and the cocoa really was pronounced. The chicken was seasoned nicely and the portions are plentiful. The guacamole was pretty good. I thought it would be prepared in front of you, instead it came out in a tortilla bowl. It was pretty good and fresh. The one thing I will say disparagingly is Dos Amigos, ya have to step your sangria game up! But the complimentary tequila shot made up for it quite nicely. If this app allowed zero stars, they'd get them. Restaurant is a dump, staff are rude and ignore customers & only tend to regulars. Me and my wife ordered food being the only ones in the place, while the entire staff sat at the bar on their phones or watching tv. Food took almost 30 minutes to come out. Plate was scorching hot, food was cold. Our waiter walked by the table 9 times during our entire time there and not once offered to refill our drinks or ask if we needed anything. When I gave my card to pay the bill I wondered what was taking so long so I went up front and quickly discovered they tried hiding the fact they charged my card for the wrong table for over $120. Our bill was $53. So that was $170 they charged my bank and just shrugged in my face about it saying it would be refunded in a couple days. Worst place I've ever been to and wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy. read more

Tired of the prices at El Bandito, not hungry enough for a chain like Chipotle, I found Dos Amigos here on Yelp. I read the great reviews and in spite of having lived in the area for a long time, we never stopped in. We were greeted pleasantly and seated immediately. As we were still making our way into our chairs, chips and salsa came out, followed by water. We ordered cocktails and perused the menu. We had mentioned that this was our first time to the restaurant and were brought out an order of guacamole to sample. This was, by far, the best I have EVER had at at restaurant. Creamy and perfectly seasoned with chunks of fresh avocado throughout. It could have been our meal and we would have been satisfied. To order, my wife stuck with the fajitas but I just couldn't decide. I asked our waiter, who I assume is one of the Amigos, what he would order and after making some suggestions he got a look in his eye and told me he would bring me something I would be sure to enjoy. What arrived was a beautiful paella with clams, mussels, shrimp, scallops, and langostinos. It was similar to their on-the-menu Mariscada, but so much more. When it was brought to the table my wife was so touched that someone took the time to consider and prepare something that they themselves would enjoy, the thought brought her to tears. Both of our dishes were incredibly delicious and the staff very attentive. Robert Kopek was there to play guitar, what a great talent he has. We loved the congenial family atmosphere. I also appreciated that they put our large party in the back portion of the restaurant so we could talk and laugh without feeling like we were disturbing others. You will likely never go here, until it is featured on an episode of Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. It's actually pretty darn good. The decor feels like you are in Mexico at your aunt's table. Faux crystal goblets for water, polyester blend napkins, bright decor, dimly lit. Good portions. We had the fiesta grande $17 - chimichanga, nachos, guac and sour cream. It was pretty good, albeit all fried and covered which cheese. For example on this platter, the nachos are individually slathered in refried beans and then topped with cheese and broiled. So, every chip is a winner. The tomatillo salsa is fresh, homemade and spicy. The regular salsa that comes with the chips, is bland, watery but still fresh. The ceviche with crab and shrimp in an avocado shell was delicious for $10. And, when spilling out my avocado shell I discovered no avocado, the server quickly sent me out a whole avocado, which I promptly turned into guacamole since my ceviche was almost done. The margarita's are strong and served in those really fun, wide mouthed, oversized champagne cup looking glasses. $7. And, the service while imperfect was so genuinely caring that the little bit of frenzy became a happy buzz. Oh, and the music wasn't too loud either. Love this place.
