A little local spot on the outskirts of Middletown on Dolsontown Road is a true authentic taste of Mexico. Our waiter Jose' ( I am truly sorry I forgot how to spell his name) educated us on which direction to go for authentic true flavor. Very friendly staff as soon I came in the door and very fast service, as soon as I placed my to go order I saw them preparing it. So on to the tacos, the quesobirria tacos, the braised beef was very tender and moist from the broth, plus very well seasoned. The broth itself to dip in, was flavorful but not a salt bomb. Only thing I can say was I really could not taste the cheese since it was very buried in between the tortillas, would been better if it was under the beef filling instead. For the flank steak taco, just a really good tender steak taco, plenty of beef and overall worked well, particularly with their hot salsa which was spicy but not overwhelming so you feel your sinuses clearing. The place is an absolute gem. My girlfriend and love coming here. The food is delicious, and the prices are great. Love the service. The staff are super friendly and welcoming, always smiling. The food was beyond delicious. The meals were reasonably priced and came out very quickly. They were loaded with ingredients and proteins as well as an amazing flavor. When we arrived an older gentlemen greeted us and thanked us for coming, he was sweet and endearing. The service itself went to crap. The waitress brought the food as it was cooked so our meals did not come out together. There was not any ambient noise and every worker not working was on their phone so there were multiple songs, tik toks and conversations going at once. There is a young girl, aptly named Nicole who was loud, cursed and really added a bad taste to the meal. She was yelling at her friend who was sitting counter with her "why the hell don't you have instagram?!" over and over. She kept getting louder as the meal progressed. She then randomly served a table with her phone in hand, purse over her shoulder while having a conversation with someone in the phone. She was loud and really needed to be taught etiquette. This use to be our go to spot but there has been a serious decline from the food, the freshness, the quantity, the service and everything about it has gone downhill. As someone who use to order at least once a week to now I'm never going there again. I noticed the quality went downhill and the quantity was constantly getting smaller and smaller. The guacamole we would order went from a filled container, to something only filled 3/4 or 1/2 way. When I asked, I was told prices had increased for them. Then they started putting in less and less meat, less and less cheese. It's just been getting worse and worse!!! Then while ordering they had a female who didn't speak English take orders. Every order something was wrong, sometimes 2 or 3 things were wrong. I think that they have double the credit card usage fee, while other do what they get charged by the cards Nicole's seems to takes advantage. I believe I got charged 10% either way when I got charged for everything the lady calculated it in her head and a $55 calculation from the menu somehow turned into a $78 charge. I still went after that just paid with cash and the bill never matched the menu prices even after I calculated the tax myself. No consistency with many things. What sealed the deal was the other night my family who ate the chicken all got very sick. 2 people had chicken tacos and also a quesadilla.... All of us sick. I'm done with this place. Its awful. I started going to Bira on Dolson in the ShopRite strip mall. Taste way better and they have been consistent. Middletown and the area has so many Mexican places... why such a decline when there is so much competition? read more

The tacos were bery good topped off with alot of cilatro on each tacos (chicken, pork, and mexican sausage). All the meat on each tacos were in little pieces diced. The quesadilla was very good as well, very cheesy tasted the meat, pepper lettuce and onion. My personal preference would be me adding sour cream plus the orage hot spicy sauce or use the pungent green sauce. Wish i knew what the names were. Good portions of meat also ordered guacamole freshly made and aqua de Jamaica everything was delicious. Green and red salsas each had a very good flavor spicy. Moved from Phoenix a year ago to finally escape the heat. Was not prepared for the absolute abysmal dining options for Mexican food. Tacos Nicole stands head and shoulders above the rest. Everything tasted made from scratch with fresh ingredients and was fantastic. The margarita.. again, from scratch- no sweet and sour mix, just fresh fruit juices and tequila. Staff are rude and disrespectful. I attempted to place an order at Taco Nicole. While in the process of giving my order to the waitress she ignored me to take the order of another customer who eventually received their order before my order was even placed. I reported this incident to the manager who did not care to do anything to attempt to rectify the matter except try to argue that my order was in the process of being made, ignoring the principle that the waitress who was taking my order was disrespectful. Pleasant, clean and efficient. Five or six small tables available; most of the business seems to be take-out. I asked for 6 tacos: 3 chicken and 3 el pastor. The 3 el pastor were delicious; the 3 chicken were very well done and dry. The wait time was minimal despite their being busy. Tacos were nicely packaged and included sliced cucumber.
