He showed up promptly as promised, and worked diligently for three hours blasting the old pit. He gave me a high estimate and low estimate, and the low estimate prevailed when the job was completed. The welder and I both marveled and how nice the raw metal looked without out the rust, pitting and peeling paint. Now he has it in his shop to begin renewing the pit. I've had experience both sand blasting and glass beading and marveled at the equipment, and media, Luke used. Former US Marine Luke, trained by our favorite uncle, definitely knew his stuff. Pit is now at welder's shop for more work, and it's great to know that one of my kids will enjoy this pit for another 30 years. Brian wasn't the cheapest, but his price was not much more than the lower prices and I wanted to be sure the door came out nicely. I think he was $25 more per side. We had him refinish both sides, so $50 more than his competition. He was booked out for a few weeks, but we didn't mind waiting. The day of the job, he arrived on time and prepared, and he went straight to work. He took his time sanding it down perfectly and it truly shows in the end result. Our door looks great. After trying without success to clean the tile and especially the grout (took me days to do a small spot in the kitchen) we had Brian come in. He explained the process and his recommendations, then sat on the floor with my wife and helped pick out a new grout color. When he started he moved all the furniture and rugs (several times) and expertly cleaned the floors and grout. Then colored/sealed the grout. Buffing and cleaning it several times after it dried. It has not looked this good since the house was new! Took about 2 days, would have been faster but the grout color/seal was delivered late. When he finished explained the warranty and how to care for the floor and gave us some cleaner for tough jobs when water or steam did not do the job. I can easily recommend him.
