FRITTERS. I am crazy for doughnuts and I will drive miles just to get the best when I get a craving. I've been to Randy's in Inglewood at 2 am in the morning, I woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't get back to sleep. I've been to Donut Man in Glendora at the same un-Godly hour. And to think most of the time I don't even buy a full dozen because I can never finish them before they go stale. Yes, I admit I am a 'Nutaholic! I know about Donut Tree because my grandparents used to live on Vejar, a block away from the place. I remember I started coming to Donut Tree regularly not for the doughnuts but for the apple fritters! I've had their doughnuts and it doesn't hold up against the doughnuts from my doughnut watering holes. Yes, apple fritters! I still come to Donut Tree for the apple fritters. I've tried apple fritters from other doughnut places and Donut Tree still makes the best. They make them a bit flat, a little bit burnt on the edges and keep a little bit of the center mushy so you can still taste the apples. Other places think apple fritters should be made like a cake, wrong! I assure you, Donut Tree makes them right ... I have OCD when it comes to food, I've done the research. As for the service, still the same ... abrupt as usual. I don't expect anything more because it is a doughnut place for crying out loud. Well, at 2 in the morning, do I really want to talk doughnut talk with the doughnut server? Will I come back, well I have been coming back even though I really have no more connection to 'Nut (Walnut). Their Semi Sweet Chocolate Chip. :) Their cookies are not cheap. It's $5 a piece BUT, if you use their cookie cutter (sold separately) to evenly divide the cookies, it is totally shareable. My kids and I usually get a box of 4 cookies to share. Crumbl in City of Industry is conveniently located on Colima Rd, right off Azusa Ave by the 60 Pomona freeway. It's a shame that Puente Hills mall is no longer how it used to be or Crumbl may have more customers. This was my 3rd visit at this location and it was never busy. Overall, this location is very clean. The cashier who helped me was very helpful. It's always easy to locate parking. Definitely all the positive reasons to come back again. :)

Regardless what time of day, the donuts are always taste fresh. You can't go wrong with any of the cakey donuts - glazed blueberry, buttermilk, old fashion, etc. Literally all very good. I recently ordered a turkey sandwich with bacon on white bread. They use a thick slices of turkey and the sandwich automatically comes with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, onions, mustard and mayo. The sandwich is fantastic. It was fresh tasting with all the veggies especially with the addition of raw white onions. It's also a steal for around $7. I'll always come for the donuts, but I'll be back to try their other sandwiches.
