Best donuts in town in my opinion, they serve classic type donuts. Don't expect any fancy toppings on top such as cereals, Oreos, etc. Large store with serve yourself coffee with 3 types of flavored creamers. Plenty of indoor tables to sit and enjoy your purchase. Employees are always friendly and ready to answer any questions you might have. I did notice my last visit that the price for any filled donuts and those with coconut or peanuts on top are now .50 more. This location has the best coffee and donuts. You can also have Piñon coffee as well. They also have three different creams. You can use for your coffee too. The service is fast and the workers are very respectful. You can also chill inside in the ambience is perfect. read more

Seems to be a nice place, not the big chain type place. When you walk in the area is actually large. I will let you know how the donuts taste! They have coffee, chai, etc. I ordered an egg croissant as I was hungry. Staff keep to business so not really a friendly sit down and relax atmosphere, staff make you feel as if you are causing them some sort of discomfort having them make you some food. This place was great for our group of approximately 25 people to meet up without having to make a reservation. They have a large eating space with open seating and tables. The acoustics aren't great, so it was hard to hear others sometimes, but there's no cost to use the space while getting donuts and coffee. If you have a book club or other club meeting, keep this space in the back of your mind. I had the apple slice cake donut, which I enjoyed. I didn't try their coffee. read more

This place has the feel of a small local business. A lot of people get takeout on their way to someplace else. There is no drive thru, walk in only. It is a big cavernous space with plenty of open seating. If you need to seat a large group without a reservation, this place definitely works. The acoustics are rather echoing; so that can be a bit challenging, especially if it gets crowded. It doesn't have the cosy living room feel of many coffee shops, but it isn't unpleasant either. I like supporting local businesses, so I tend to come by here when I am looking for a place to meet someone that I don't know. This is a donut shop. I have never met a donut that I didn't like. There are also some breakfast type items as well. The ones I have tried tasted exactly as expected. There are all the usual options for coffee and chai or regular tea. Don't look for anything exotic though. I gave it 4 stars because I reserve 5 stars for places that can't possibly be improved. I would like this place better if the seating area was less cavernous and echoing. I would also like to have something exotic or unique on the drink menu. That said, I have absolutely no complaints. I am happy with the food. I am happy with the service. You will not say this is the most amazing coffee experience I have ever had, and you won't be disappointed either. read more

Donut Mart's are delicate and not overbearing on the taste buds. -UPDATE- until dethroned, Donut Mart holds the award for BEST MAPLE DONUT. They have a pretty broad selection of donuts - yeast, cake, jelly and cream-filled. They have a selection of four Red Rock Roasters coffee. At the location I purchased from the most, decaf was made on demand (I was told to ensure freshness and it would take all of 30 seconds.) Awesome. Yeast donuts have a delicate but firm crust with a soft center and light glazes. The cake donuts also has a crust that is firm and light edging on crisp. None that I sampled came off as soft crust (like one particular doughnut chain, as an example.) The jelly filling is excellent. Let me repeat: the jelly filling is excellent. Its has a light sweetness that is so enjoyable to eat versus the overbearing fillings I encounter at sooooo many other places. I eat multiple at one sitting and not feel like I was giving myself diabetes. The peanut butter on the PB&J donut is good- in fact, there is room (and I would recommend) to add more peanut butter to the frosting, because as it currently is, it's doesn't dominate the flavor palate. And the maple frosting is the best I've encountered to date of the two dozen+ places across the country I've tried. No joke. Another plus is that its locally owned, so you can take some pride in knowing you are supporting a local ABQ business. Of all the places I've been, Donut Mart rates high and they are on my list of re-visits when I'm back in the area. read more

Great donuts! I love the huge number of varieties. Apple fritters are awesome. The filled donuts are tasty with a good amount of filling. The blueberry glazed donuts have a great texture, so does the chocolate glazed donuts. I like these traditional style donuts much better than the Krispy Kreme puffed up nothingness donuts. Better variety and quality than Dunkin' Donuts. Sorry that mayor Berry's ART bus project killed the donut mart on Central. I can't say it was a direct cause and affect, not knowing the inside story but most of the businesses on Central really took a hit. I know I stayed away from there for two years. Glad to have the other locations. Hard to stop at just two donuts since they're all so good! Service has always been spot on. read more

Meh. It wasnt the worst still but i wasnt too fond of their selection of donuts. I was hoping for the typical maple bar or cake powdered donuts. They had other alternatives like a regular ring frosted yeast donut or cake donut which was ok. Their version of maple frosting was oddly pale instead of that brown maple color. Still tasted about right yet still off. I also ordered a french crueller, a glazed twist, and some glazed donut holes, yeast and cake. Not much redeemed itself enough of my cravings for good donuts. New Donut Mart store on Montgomery near San Mateo. Huge space, mostly wasted, but probably very nice Saturday and Sunday mornings when the crowds flood in. Would be nice if they used some of that big open space to put in a real coffee shop to go with the donuts. The donuts are pretty darn good. Great selection, nice variety. We came late in the day and there were still quite a few to choose from. The mini fritters are seriously fabulous. Plus I love being able to have a fritter without it being enormous. Awesome. The peanut butter and jelly donut is a great idea but while their PB topping is the best I've had so far, I wish a donut place would use grape jelly instead of raspberry. Ick. My chocolate donut was dry, I presume from being out all day but still a little disappointing. Everything else was pretty darn good.
