We've had Shipleys before and wanted to try something new so we tried this place. Well, I woke up at 6:40 to go get them. And luckily for me it was pouring like mad. Lucky me, I get to drive in a massive storm. Anyway, a promise is a promise and I drove there. The guy working isn't friendly but he's fast. We got a few kolaches and a few donuts and they were all pretty good. I gotta say the kolaches are among the better ones I had in Austin. Not as good as Krispy Kreme, but better than most places. Donuts are good. They were fresh and tasty. I prefer local chains over national chains so in the 1431/183 corner this is my choice. Will go again.

She suggested what to order, reviewed menu pricing and even found out how much cream to put in the coffee cup (by a finger point) to make the perfuct cup. As the line grew behind us, another clerk just stepped up and opened as second window, no prompting was required. The location is open air. You order at a window and go (or drive thru). If you want to eat on site there are picnic tables under a covered patio. On a cool day this could be pleasant but Texas is Texas.

It took me TWELVE years to find it. Twelve! To say I'm particular about certain types of food is an understatement. It's the curse of also being a cook/baker, myself, I guess. We happened semi-accidentally across Nathalie's. We made it in within the last hour they were open that particular weekday, & we still got everything we could've wanted. A Spicy Boudin Kolache. OMG! So well crafted & delicious (boy, were we happy to see this item in the case that day, since this was THE item that had us trekking from Manor to Cedar Park)! We also indulged in a Chocolate Old Fashioned (crisp exterior, a personal 'requirement' of mine), an Apple Fritter (a gift for my Son, it had a delectable pronounced Apple flavor), & the most impeccable Maple Glazed with Bacon Donut we've ever had. I'm thankful this place isn't closer to home. I would literally be here every day if it didn't cost me $9+ in Tolls to land on their doorstep. I tried some donut holes and a sausage kolache and both were fine. Nothing super special, but it was nice to see a cinnamon sugar donut hole option, along with the glazed since that's not a flavor I see often for some reason. They also got tacos and sandos and all the breakfast things.

I got one of each option - chocolate glazed, powdered, and cinnamon sugar, and had them all downed before getting home. They were $4 each, which I felt was a fair value. Although they're cake donuts, they still have a very satisfying chew to them. The location was also cute, and the staff were all very nice. I'll be happy to have any reason to be in the area again in the future, just to swing by and grab some treats.
