The matcha itself was lackluster. It tasted like milk and syrup, and had no umami or earthiness that usually comes with an accurate matcha profile. I also tried a sip of my brother's Hojicha latte and it was also very sugary and lacked the Hojicha flavor. Unfortunately, all the high ratings did not translate to my experience and I don't think the drinks, at least the matcha and hojicha, are a good representation of how they usually taste at a more specialized and authentic cafe.
