Sometimes I stop by here before work. Today I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese on a croissant with an iced caramel latte and a glazed donut on the side. Despite the place being really busy, every worker was friendly and hustling to keep the line moving. The sandwich tasted fresh and made to order, the bacon was crispy and generous, and the croissant was soft and buttery, not the usual frozen, microwaved taste you'd get from Dunkin. The latte was smooth and not overly sweet, and the glazed donut was soft, fresh, and exactly what I was hoping for. Real bad rewards program. Points don't accumulate accurately. First it was that if you use the same debit card they points would accumulate. Points would show up on your receipt. No any more. Now you have to provide your phone number, doesn't work either. No points show up in the receipt. I'm a customer that has been going to the Hope St location for many years and at least 6 days a week. I was very glad when the rewards were implemented but it seems to be a real bad setup. read more

Disappointed Again at Donuts Delight - Customer Service & Quality Slipping This was my second less-than-great experience at this location, and unfortunately, it confirmed a pattern. I went through the drive-thru and was met with rude service from the female staff who took me my order. She seemed irritated and dismissive, and when my order came out completely wrong, there was no opportunity to get it corrected--just a shrug and told the person at the window to push me through. The donuts themselves were just okay--nothing special--and this time they were handed to me upside down and smashed in the box. Both of my coffees were made incorrectly, which was especially frustrating since it's not a complicated order. The one bright spot was the male staff member at the window where I paid. He was kind and clearly doing his best to help, but the overall service and product quality just weren't there. I come to this location quite often. They can be slow and generally have long lines. Food is good usually, but some times depending on what time you come it can be hit or miss as far as the food. However, they are pretty accurate. I usually order 4-5 things all the time. The chicken sausage (which I think they replaced with turkey sausage) egg and cheese, scallions cream cheese on a bagel, chorizo, egg & cheese or plain bagel toasted with butter or a ham egg and cheese on croissant or bagel. Overall I like donut delight and recommend visiting a location, but some times I have a hard time recommending this location. read more

Well the donut delight in shippan was an horrific experience today, I ordered a buttered toasted bagel with butter specified no cream cheese bc I am allergic ,and to my surprise they gave me a sesame toasted bagel w/cream cheese and no bacon .. had to return it only for them to do the same thing w/the bacon this time but no butter !! Guess what they put CREAM CHEESE!! I will never go to Shippans donut delight again. I love the establishment but this location seems to ALWAYS BE PROBLEMATIC and the service isn't pleasant. It was my first time at Donut Delight. My mom was visiting and she was really planning on going. I thought "I'm sure it's just another doughnut chain..." oh boy was I wrong. I should've known since there's always a long drive thru line that it's a poppin' place. I also see so many people drinking iced coffee out of a Donut Delight plastic cup, so that could've been a tell tale sign as well. I'd compare it to a high quality Dunkin' Donuts that hand-prepares your breakfast sandwiches for you instead of being mass produced. We got a basic donuts (glazed and sugar coated) and they were phenomenal -- as was the egg white tuna salad sandwich on multigrain bread (which was a lot bigger than we expected!!). They're also open 24/7 which reminds me of Wawa (if you're from NJ/PA, you know). All in all, it's a great place. First & last time coming here. The service was absolutely horrible. I went to try it out for the first time today so obviously had to take a look at the menu. I asked the person through the mic for a minute. Then a girl comes on and says "what can I get you we have a line". Aside from its delicious items, quick service and clean location, the employees are always pleasant, friendly and hospital. Extremely upset with the service at this location. I am an Uber driver so it was great finding a 24 hour place. Stopped in for a couple of sandwiches and a green tea. While I was waiting I decided to get 2 donuts as well. The employee behind the countered filled the bag and when he went to place it on the counter pushed the tea over and all over my lap. It got all over the front of my pants but worse was that it was all on my left thigh. I ran to the restroom to asses how it looked wiped off and returned. The employee didn't apologize for the accident nor did he even acknowledge me for several minutes. When he did all he did was state the total. When I asked for an apology and the managers number he asked me "do you still want the food." I repeated I want the managers number and he stated "for what? For the tea? Just check your receipt. They charge you more then what your actual order is. They told me my total was 6.91 then thought I was crazy when I waited for my change and receipt just to realize my order came out to be 4.41 with a police officer discount that I clearly didn't get lol. Then they tried to give me a dollar back after not remembering how much I paid and still couldn't give me a proper receipt. OMG - thought this was just another "Dunkin Donuts" chain wannabe, but I was proven wrong. I would say it's kinda in between a Dunkin and Starbucks (the prices are like Dunkin but can order semi specialty drinks) - they offer soy replacement at no extra cost!!! I was shocked that they were able to replace the milk with soy to begin with - but to give it to me at no extra cost - that is some good customer service. I wanted to write to the company and not be public with this complaint but they do not provide any contact info other than social media, so here goes: I really wanted this to be a 5star and had I written this last week, it would have been. Donut Delight has my FAVORITE iced teas!! They use real eggs on their sandwiches and the staff is usually GREAT! (especially at the one in Norwalk!!) I stop almost every morning and for a while have been very happy. Over the last week I have had stale bagels, paid for extra cream cheese and didn't get it, and for the first time ever had someone at the window who was more interested in her conversation with a co-worker than in serving me. The workers here are extremely rude and incompetent. After having to correct my order with the worker several times he told me "yeah yeah I got it" and of course when I got to the window he did not "have it". This place has really great pastries and donuts. Came here for the first time last week after moving to the area and tried the Apple, Double Chocolate, Honey Dipped, and glazed twisted donuts. All were super good, we especially loved the blueberry muffins. Also tried the cream cheese and chocolate croissants and these were pretty good as well, although not a whole lot of filling in either. Overall blueberry muffins are the best here. Love the drive thru but there are no donut flavors on the menu so makes it really difficult to make a decision if they have to read off all the flavors. They should definitely think about posting the flavors on the drive thru menu. Overall really good! read more

Line went super fast. Went around 8:30 AM today. I had a bacon, egg and cheese on an everything bagel with a cinnamon ice coffee. The bagel was cut in half and it was amazing. It was steaming when I got it. The bacon tasted amazing and the bagel was really good although salty but that's a part of what made it taste good and unique. Close to the highway so very convenient. Donut Delight is a small local chain of coffee and donut shops. I've really been missing Tim Hortons since I moved down here from WNY, and this place is about as close as I can get. We decided to go in and check it out one weekend, and when we showed up, the drive-thru line was pretty insane, spilling out onto the street. We were able to get in and park, and we went inside. Inside is pretty spartan, with only a few tables for sitting, all of which were occupied. We got a couple of breakfast sandwiches, some donuts, and coffee and ended up taking them to go since there was not enough seating. Overall, the sandwiches were fantastic, nice balance of cheese and egg and sausage. The donuts were of good quality, and I really liked the coffee.
