    Shrimp on the Vine

The food tastes good but I can't stand shrimp that are not devined. Must be a local preference because nobody I know eats it like this.

Was on our way from New Orleans to Baton Rouge and spotted this spot and decided to try it and so glad we did. We didn't have reservations but was able to be sat right away around 1pm on a Saturday. Our server was very helpful, and offered suggestions since it was our first time. We actually took her recommendations which was the chicken and waffles. She was right, they were very good and I'm not a huge chicken and waffle fan. As I looked around I was watching the food others were ordering and honestly everything looked amazing. It is a very busy place, with tv's and people just having a good time. I good place to bring your family, or just come on a date night. Wish there was one in my city!

We just love this place for crawfish! The bar service is so fun. Our favorite bartenders are Gabby and Brittany. Donnie the GM is very friendly and always says hello to us when he sees us at the bar. The jacked up oysters are consistently great. My new favorite is the Seafood salad with lump crabmeat, shrimp and crawfish. So fresh and also very consistently great. My husband says the crawfish is the best in this area!

Normally, I go to the Don's in Gonzales but this location was very nice! The food was very good as always! The service was amazing! My friend and I started off with the jackup shrimp and it was very cheesy and seasoned well. It had a little kick to it but it wasn't bad at all. I had the stuffed catfish and it was very good! Very flavorful! I also had a frozen strawberry margarita (my go to) and it was good as well. The green beans were also very good, they had a little sweet flavor to them. The garlic mash potatoes were good as well. The ambiance of this place was a little different compared to the one in Gonzales. The only thing I didn't like about this place is that it was very dark in the restaurant. Other than that everything was 10/10.

Really good food . The Jacked Up Shrimp was good but a little oily. Gumbo good but a little spicey for our ladies. Service was excellent.

Let me live - Better late than never lol] And please notice the quotation marks around "New Orleans," because yeah, I was bamboozled. My company really had me thinking I'd be IN THE CITY eating real Cajun food, soaking up that seasoning, that spice, that Louisiana magic -- and then they drove us all the way across the river to ... Covington, Louisiana. Covington. Be serious. Anyway, once we arrived, before I even attempted a nap, my mission was crystal clear: secure Cajun food immediately. I found New Orleans Style Seafood Restaurant & Market on one of the delivery apps and decided to give them a try. Best choice. Pleasant surprise. I started with the Cajun Crawfish Bread -- that creamy crawfish mix toasted with cheese? Delicious. Like comfort food with a little attitude. Then I had the Bayou Redfish -- grilled, sitting on linguine, all covered in this creamy crawfish sauce? Chef's kiss. Everything blended perfectly. Cajun flavors doing exactly what they're supposed to do. And because I cannot see the word "beignet" and leave it alone, I ordered the beignet sticks for dessert. I'll be honest -- they were good when they were piping hot, but once they cooled down I wasn't as crazy about them. For a layover that had me on the wrong side of the river, this food absolutely came through Would definitely order from them again!

The espresso flight included pumpkin spice, toasted marshmallow, and cinnamon and all were DELICIOUS! They were full sized and very reasonably priced. The Pumpkin Spice White Russian was a bit of a miss, but our waiter was very accommodating. For starters, we got the Seafood Dip and Zydeco Egg rolls. We knew after these arrived that this would be a new favorite spot. The seafood in both dishes was plentiful and we could not get enough of both dishes. For entrees, the table has the Skirt Steak, Bayou Mac and Cheese, Hot Honey Pepperoni Pinsa, Shrimp and Crawfish Gouda Grits, and Cajun Pasta. We were sharing with one another and did not find anything we didn't like. We decided the pizza was our favorite. The crust was perfect! For dessert, we had the Biscoff Bread Pudding and Blueberry Crumble Cheesecake. The bread pudding was so well done. It wasn't too sweet and the strawberries were perfect! The vibes were super cool with the moody lighting and table lamp. The art was very sleek and modern. We had a great waiter who gave us recommendations, checked in on us often, and was overall very accommodating. One of the best parts, is that for all of our meal we paid a very reasonable price for a quality that was super high. I couldn't recommend this place more!!!

We arrived on a Friday night without reservations and waited about 30-40 minutes for a table. First, we got a drink by the bar and stood around. Then when seats opened up at the bar, we sat there and ordered two appetizers. Before ordering, I asked one of the bartenders if something was gluten free and she came back with a sheet of paper labeled GLUTEN listing about 25-30 things that were gluten free such as dressings, jambalaya, and egg rolls (which we found out later they are NOT gluten free). I have a picture but I won't share it so that no one is deceived. A few minutes after ordering, we were buzzed that we had moved up the waiting list and to check in. My husband checked in and came to tell me to go to the hostess stand because they are ready to seat us. He went to let the bartender know to send our two appetizers to our table. When I got to the hostess stand, the hostess said that we already had been seated and to just walk upstairs. Even after I explained we had not gotten seated yet because my husband had just checked in, she instructed my party to simply head upstairs and just turn right. We walked upstairs and found a table we assumed we should sit ate. Then when my husband arrived, he went to look for menus because we didn't have any. Ava came by to greet us as our two appetizers of Sauteed Crab Claws and Boudin Egg Rolls arrived. Ava was really friendly and personable. I was so happy the sheet had indicated they are gluten free. I ate half an egg roll and started to suspect it was not gluten free. I flagged down Ava and asked and she said she was pretty sure they were not gluten free. Ava came back to apologize that the egg rolls had been changed and were no longer gluten free, and then are gave me an updated "2026 Gluten-Free Allergy Menu" with a subheader "All items listed are SAFE for you to eat." The egg rolls were no longer listed. For my entree, I ordered the Charbroiled Catfish served over spinach. It came with a salad and apparently a side. I thought my spinach was the side so I didn't ask about my side options and Ava didn't ask me what I wanted as a side. I had a side mixed green salad with no croutons. Surprisingly, everyone's side mixed green salad looked different when they arrived. Mine had croutons. Another had cheese on their mixed greens while another person was served iceberg lettuce. It was very strange. My catfish arrived with French Fries which are not gluten free. I flagged down another waitress who had checked in on us earlier to explain that I wasn't offered a side and that I couldn't eat the French Fries. I asked for cooked veggies and she brought me cauliflower. I thoroughly enjoyed my catfish and cauliflower. Others are the table had the Seafood Lasagna, Seafood Pasta, Charbroiled Oysters, and Crawfish Etouffee. Everyone liked their dishes. The portions are really big. The meal would've been much better if they were better trained on how to handle food allergies. And what the hostess did was not customer friendly at all. We learned from the second server that Ava was in training. Ava did a good job as she was really friendly, attentive, and seemed to genuinely care. I don't think she understood what a gluten allergy was but she followed up when asked to check on the egg rolls.
