Gulf Shrimp Platter GULF SHRIMP PO'BOY ETOUFFEE CUP

This place recently opened and I've already been 3 times. I was sold right away on "LOUISIANA SEAFOOD"! Knowing the seafood is from Louisiana is great. Obviously at busier times with a longer line you will have to wait just like any other place. I've also gotten my food in 10 minutes in the busy drive through at lunch time. Everything I have tried on the menu is delicious! The burger was surprisingly amazing, it is a sourdough bun. It's all good, give it a try SHA! I see many more stops here in my future!!

Ordered a bowl of seafood gumbo, but only filled half way

Ordered a bowl og seafood gumbo with no rice. $8.99 + tax + tip. I got less than half a bowl. I wont be back!!!

I did an online order. It was hot and ready when I got there. It was not busy at all. The is pretty good. It's seasoned well. The outside seems franchisey but the food seems more home cooked. I wrote this without trying the bread pudding first. So be mindful of that. It looks different from traditional N.O bread pudding I'm used too.

Absolutely loved this cajun comfort food delivery! As a glutton for seafood, would have certainly loved more crawdaddies but the swamp fries and etouffee were off the charts! Got the rice on the side but ended up throwing it all into the etouffee and had my tongue tickled and eyes rolling back with every bite. The swamp fries rounded out the perfect mid-September fat Tuesday for this happy guy and will definitely be trying more items from this glorious establishment soon!

I wasn't a fan today. My burger was undercooked, no utensils were included and none of the four meals had the sauces. No ranch for the fried green beans, no tartar sauce for the seafood. I didn't realize it until we got home. There was also a guy in the parking lot checking door handles on vehicles to see if they were unlocked.

Bread Pudding Bites from first visit. Much better than second visit serving. - A cup of bread pudding bites with caramel sauce is placed on a table at a restaurant, with food and condiments visible in the background.

After seeing the crazy long drive thru lines at this location, my family and I decided to stop and see what the excitement was about. This location has just recently opened, and seemed to draw a crowd. We went in and there was also a line inside with several people waiting on their orders there as well. We ordered several menu items, including the chicken & shrimp platter, a couple of shrimp Po Boys, hush puppies, and the bread pudding bites. The shrimp Po boys tasted okay. The platter seemed to be a much better deal for the amount of food you get, it also tasted just okay. The fried seafood is basically average. Nothing outstanding. But the standout here was the bread pudding. It came in a nice sized serving and was delicious. I decided it was worth returning and standing in line for. So, I returned to get this item again. I waited... and waited... and waited. But happily did so for this desert. I received my to go pudding and returned home to be terribly disappointed. I opened the container to find the bare minimum inside. I literally looked back at my pics from our first visit, just to make sure I wasn't mistaken about the previous serving. Inside the current container was 2 and 1/2 small pieces of bread pudding. As opposed to the full container I received on my first visit. The fact that it stood and waited so long for this really upset me. I live too far away to return it. I was just upset & dissatisfied. I'd driven 20 minutes in the rain just to buy it. After this upsetting and inconsistent purchase, I won't return.

Great Cajun options with a drive thru!! The Seafood Gumbo and Fried Fish platter have been my favorites so far - can't wait to try other items from here. The staff is always really nice and welcoming, awesome new addition to the Hammond area.

Bbq shrimp poboy and red beans

Best quick-service fast-casual concept ever! And actually serving gulf shrimp. I would have never come here without that specified. I don't eat farm-raised shrimp. Bbq shrimp poboy special was delicious as were the red beans.

Had roast beef poboy, not on Leidenheimer bread as stated on web, very little meat. Onion rings were very good.

Our recent New Years Eve visit fell short of the standards this restaurant once upheld. We had our…read morewedding here 7 years ago and had an amazing time. Although we specifically requested a table downstairs, we were instead seated upstairs in what appeared to be an attic-like space off in the corner. The area was poorly arranged, and above our table a hanging light bulb shone directly into our eyes creating an uncomfortable environment. We left this table and went to express our concerns to the hostess. There were plenty of open tables downstairs but she said they were reserved for 7pm when our reservation was for 6pm. My wife said we will just sit at the bar if we have to. We were then placed at a table in a hidden spot beside the fireplace. I say hidden because the lady refilling water forgot about us several times. In addition, portion sizes are small while prices are quite expensive resulting in a disappointing imbalance between cost and value. Dinner for two was $240 not including tip. $62 for a 6oz filet then up charge when asked for more bread!!!! The one redeeming aspect of the experience was our server, Devin, who provided excellent service--professional, attentive, and genuinely courteous. His efforts stood out in an otherwise unsatisfactory visit. He was assigned upstairs but took care of us at this downstairs table.

This place is a Waffel House cosplaying as fine dinning. What should have been a beautiful family…read moredinner to celebrate Christmas Eve was a long slow fart of failures. It started with a nearly 30 minute wait for our first round of cocktails. Then, over an hour for appetizers that came out in drips and drabs. When the main courses arrived two were raw! "I'm so sorry for the wait tonight - we were very busy." No. You weren't busy, you were under prepared. You had reservations so you knew what to expect. If your bartenders are slow because they're chit chatting with customers seated at the bar, you should have a service bartender dedicated to making drinks for the dinning room. If the kitchen is out of goat cheese, you should communicate that to the guest instead of bringing them an item without a key ingredient. Servers should NEVER touch a guests silverware to "make room" for plates or drinks Also "I've only worked here for 3 months so I don't know" is something I should never hear from wait staff. It wreaks of incompetence and poor training. Jacmel has been a sinking ship for years. You've been squeaking by on nostalgia and inertia but last nights disastrous Christmas Eve service was the final straw for my family.

After a stop in Pass Manchac looking for outside dining but finding a jammed inside-only restaurant…read morewith no masks, we headed up US 51 into Ponchatoula to look for an alternative. J Rucker's was listed as open, but when we arrived no one was there and it was marked closed. When we called, we were told "yes, we are open" but no one appeared in front. Finally just as we were about to drive off, someone came running across the parking lot. "We are open, and you can sit outside." After that little bit our time confusion (to the restaurant's credit, we were looking for a place around 4:30 in the afternoon and some listings showed a 5 pm opening, while others implied open from lunch to dinner. No big deal), we got seated and offered menus. "Fried ribs" jumped out immediately as (1) unhealthy in many ways (2) unique and (3) of course, something we have to try once. We put in an order for that, along with fried shrimp and stewed chicken. Unfortunately a few minutes later the kitchen informed our server that fried ribs would not be offered that evening. I changed to stewed chicken. For starters, the fried broccoli and boudain balls were hot, fresh, not greasy, and served with a house dipping sauce that had a bit of kick. The stewed chicken arrived in the dense gravy on rice, tasty but beware also on the salty side (this bothered some other diners in my party more than me). The fried shrimp actually might have been the best thing on the table: hot, crispy, with almost like a tempura texture served on a bed of thin-sliced french fries. We were stuffed and facing a ride back to the south shore, so no dessert..."but tell us what you have, anyway." One of the options was "Bananas Foster ice cream." Uh oh, looks like we ARE having dessert. Highly recommended, with a strong banana flavor and actually frozen bits of ripe banana in there. (Some may not like that texture, but didn't bother me one bit). Chicken and waffles are one of the options for entree, as is an ice cream and waffle dessert that looked good as it went out to another table.
