I went with my newly gluten free friend, who was craving some pizza! We decided on two pizzas the capricciosa ( artichokes, black cerignola olives, mushrooms, fresh mozzarella, prosciutto di parma) and the spicy soppressata (fresh mozzarella, aged provolone, parmesan, pickled banana peppers - & we added pepperoni) Both were so good and we had 3 slices each to take home for lunch the next day!! I was happy I liked it because I am not a gluten free girly!! The staff were so friendly and it wasnt busy at all...which surprised me because everything was yummy & fast!! STARS OF THE SHOW: 1. Burger Box -- The patties were…read moreperfectly cooked, the bun was fluffy and soft, and if you love tomatoes, I would absolutely recommend adding their fresh tomatoes to your burger! There was just the right ratio of their homemade sauce, which complemented the smokey cheddar very well. 2. Over Dressed Greens -- I truly did not expect this to be one of my favorites of the night! The salad is generously mixed with their homemade white French sauce, and you could really taste the freshness of the vegetables and produce. They pickle their zucchinis, which was such a pleasant surprise because it added a crunchy texture alongside the croutons and the pickled flavor truly elevated the entire salad! 3. Jammy Eggs -- Egg yolks were cooked to perfect consistency and I loved their take on an Asian-fusion style dish with their furikake seasoning, which also gave slight crunchy texture alongside their creamy sauce that gave a hint of spiciness. 4. Szalay's Sweet Corn -- The mix of the cacio e pepe and miso aioli worked really well as the sauce for the sweet corn and gave it a creamy and savory flavor with every bite! All the cocktails we tried were very special and delicious! Their ingredients list includes unique combinations that pleasantly work for the drink. My favorite drink was "Never Too Much" and I don't even like Hennessy like that haha -- it was such a refreshing drink and the peach and lemon flavors truly was perfect for the fall season. As for service, our waitress Tate was incredibly friendly and efficient and gave us complimentary dessert due to a slight water spill during the meal. I can now fully understand the hype of this restaurant and when I come visit again, I will absolutely be back -- no questions asked!

My wife and I recently went to Cordelia for a special occasion and had a great experience. We had…read moreexcellent service from when we were seated on-time for our reservation to when we got the check. Everything came out in a timely and well-paced manner and our server went above and beyond in providing outstanding midwestern niceness and hospitality, explaining dishes to us, engaging in conversation, answering our questions, and working with the kitchen to make some minor accommodations to the dishes. The prices were also reasonable for the portion sizes. The ambiance is an interesting, funky mix of open piping with an open kitchen concept and artwork with a nod to Cleveland. My wife and I split several dishes and were fine to outstanding; however, I am giving Cordelia four stars because several dishes were way too salty, affecting what otherwise would have been amazing dishes. My wife and I shared the following dishes: Party snacks: One of the two star dishes of the night. The bread was crispy and served as a great vehicle for the dips. The carrot muhammara, farmer's cheese, and jammy eggs were particularly good and the three snacks I would get if I were only ordering three snacks. Blooming Eggplant: The other star dish of the night, besides being unique with Michelin-caliber presentation, the fry was perfect, the sauce was good, the coating was crispy, and the eggplant well-cooked. The lemon brought everything together and provided some welcome acid. A little on the salty side but very good. Cavatelli: The cavatelli were perfectly al dente; unfortunately, the sauce was overwhelming salty and took away from the pasta. Tomatoes a la chaoshou: The tomatoes were in-season and extremely fresh. The sauce was good, if slightly salty. Ohio Green Beans: The green beans were perfectly cooked with some firmness, nicely seared, and presented well. The zhug was quite salty and detracted from the green beans, although the crunch of the pistachio was excellent. Kate's Fish: The lake walleye was fresh and the accompanying sauces were good and provided nice flavor to give body to the fish (although a bit salty). The skin needed to be crispier; overall, an OK dish but nothing distinctive. My wife and I got the dirt 'n worms and the corn ice cream with caramel sauce for dessert. The caramel sauce was good; the corn ice cream was bland and the mousse was average. I would recommend Cordelia for your next special occasion.

Soft boiled eggs--good, decent 3.5/5 Corn bread French toast sticks--soft fluffy bread with crispy exterior, though pretty pricey (3 sticks for $14). 4/5 Smash shak--breakfast sausage patties worked great for this sandwich--tender meat with crispy focaccia 4.5/5 Steak and eggs--steak was tender and cooked to medium, good eggs. 4.5/5 Croque monsieur--also great, hard to go wrong with bread, ham, cheese. 4.5/5 Salted honey pie--now I see why this is so popular. One of the best pies, the filling is as refreshing and sweet. The bee pollen didn't have much taste, had a chalky texture but was visually appealing. Though the pie crust was hard to insert the fork (probably because of the honey?), it was still good. Favorite of the night. 5/5 Service was good, a little slow but they were busy. Seating was comfortable and reservations available online (walk in was fine too when I went). Heads up that there's a 3% dine in service fee. During brunch, we've ordered a pie to-go, and the pie was sadly still included in the dine in service fee. I've been wanting to check this place out for quite some time, and I'm so glad we finally had the opportunity. Now I'm just sorry we didn't go sooner! Everything from start to finish was excellent. The restaurant is very open and comfortable with plenty of seating, and it wasn't overly busy when we went. We parked in the adjacent lot across the street, which was free after 6 PM, and with our 6:00 PM reservation, we were seated right away. We started with the vegan cauliflower with sweet chili ginger sauce, which was delicious. For my meal, I ordered the Lakewood Citizen Salad and added grilled chicken. It was such a large, hearty salad, which I absolutely love. Definitely not one of those tiny salads that leaves you hungry! My husband ordered the Hot in Cleveland chicken sandwich with garlic aioli fries. My older son got the Forge Burger with regular fries, and my younger son ordered the pierogi dinner. And we need to talk about the fries for a minute... they were outstanding! You could tell they were fresh-cut and homemade, and everyone agreed they were some of the best fries we've had in a while. Of course, we couldn't leave without dessert, so we ordered three to share: blueberry cheesecake, creme brulee, and chocolate creme brulee. Every single one was fantastic! Overall, everything was excellent--from the food and atmosphere to the service and experience. We definitely will be back, and I'm already wondering why we waited so long to try it!

Giving it a 4 rather than 5 because my husband didn't love the fried chicken sandwich and I thought there could have been a better beer selection.
