Some of the problems were obvious and others were hard to pinpoint, but the effect was a mishmash. My daughter called Susan and after several reassuring texts, made an appointment to come into The Wedding Dresser. From the get-go Susan understood what was wrong & how to fix it. Her team went to work. The dress was how it should have been - masterful work, a talented team, and able to pull it all off in record time!

The owner of The Wedding Dresser, charges high prices for reasons I cannot comprehend. I brought my…read moredress to Susan and agreed to pay her $1600 for quite a few alterations. I asked to stop the alterations because I could not afford to move forward. Susan said no problem and that the hem was done. When I picked up my dress, the hem was not finished, only the inner layers of the dress had been hemmed and they'd been hemmed WRONG! They were ascending rather than descending. This incorrect hem cost me $750 (1/2 of the total which is very high pricing!) but because I did not have an itemized receipt (though I asked for one) that price shocked me. The top layer was the shortest and they got longer from there so they were ascending rather than descending which is not how I brought the dress in or how wedding dresses are supposed to be hemmed. I called Susan, assuming it had to be a mistake, but she refused to fix her mistake. I found a seamstress to complete all alterations for 1/8 of the price. Susan had google remove my review threatening to sue me for defamation and extortion but I don't want her money, nor did I ever threaten her or lie. I just don't want others to have the experience I had. Google is biased and sides with business often. Customer service is all I ever asked for and wanted, a simple apology, any kind of offer to adjust the incorrect hem would have been more than enough.

I reside in New York and wanted to check the dress out once more before submitting my final purchase. On a whim, I called the SoHo shop and they graciously said I could come in that evening for 15 minutes since I already knew which dress I wanted (this is different than their usual requirement of a 1-hour window, which I could not have managed with my work schedule). When I arrived, I met with Davia and she was so friendly and sweet. She immediately offered me champagne and took me and my roommate to the back bridal area. I tried on the gown and immediately knew it was the one. She helped me accessorize and was very encouraging and helpful throughout the experience. Although I did not purchase the dress from this shop (the in-state tax made it much more expensive), I would highly recommend this shop for future brides. Nicole Miller gowns are beautiful and for me, budget-friendly. Davia is so sweet and easy to work with and made me feel comfortable and excited. Thanks so much for a great experience!

After spending $800.00 on a gown for my sons wedding, the wrong size gown was ordered by the owner. She refused to give me a refund. I had to take another gown in its place. She refused to continue business with me. I went to a seamstress who informed me that the gown was not cut right and couldn't be fixed. I called Bossina Couture and literally begged her to correct her error, she refused. My husband went to the store and offered to pay more for another gown, the owner dismissed him and told him to leave. I paid cash for this gown!!!! This is incredibly frustrating, especially considering the high price of the gown. I expected better customer service and at least the ability to exchange or return an item that was clearly not as ordered. I would not recommend this store to anyone based on my experience. I didn't like the 70's bell sleeves or how conservative the dress was and I was worried about whether or not the modifications would look good in the end. Ann was patient and great to work with every step of the way. She listened to all of my comments when I went in for fittings and always found creative solutions for how to make the dress even more beautiful. She must have had to redo the arms 3 or 4 times as we searched for the most complimentary design for the dress but she was so patient and understanding. In the end, she researched/found the most perfect lace to finish them out. The final sleeves finished the dress off superbly. I'm so thankful I found her. Wearing the recreated dress was incredibly emotional and the dress itself was stunning. Her craft is impeccable. I felt beautiful wearing it and my Mom was over the moon. Thank you, Ann! After being terrified that A) No seamstress or tailor would be able to accomplish this, at least without ruining the heavy silk of the dress and B) That even if they could, it would cost me close to a thousand dollars, I found Ann. I wasn't sure any seamstress would want to take on my nightmare of a project, but Ann not only took my project on but did a beautiful, incredible job for a price so reasonable I almost didn't believe it at first. I saw her about once a month for four months, and she took her time taking the fabric in to make sure the tight fitting dress fit me like a glove without any puckering. This is no easy feat when taking a dress in four sizes. She even cut out a bunch of tulle on the spot when I said I wanted the dress to lie flatter. Everything about Ann's presence is so professional and calming; she made what could have been a nightmare into the most beautiful, well-made dress I'll ever wear for the most reasonable price imaginable.
