This place is great! Dropped in on a Monday with an event set for Saturday. Picked up a perfectly fitted tux that Friday. Anthony (the younger) was incredibly accommodating and easy to work with. The pride that he and his father take in their business is obvious and shines through in their service. Bottom line: Great price! Great service! One satisfied customer! read more

We needed a tux for a wedding and came from out of town. This placewas awesome - so much better shopping at a family shop than a generic chain store. They have an amazing selection and were so helpful and friendly. Highly recommend. read more

Anthony Richards is a third-generation formal wear boutique that has catered to the West Orange, and surrounding communities, for the past 60 years. Yes, 60 (sixty years). An amazing accomplishment in its own right. Recently, my boyfriend had the personal pleasure of working with both Anthony Junior and Senior. Both were very cordial, professional, and diligent in their service. We came off a plane from Miami and had a formal event to attend to in Wayne the same day we arrived. In less than three hours, these gentlemen set him up with a well-fitted tuxedo for the night. And, the price was more than reasonable. I cannot stress how well they worked under our personal time constraints. read more

I give this place 5 of 5 because it is a small local tuxedo shop with staff who can make you laugh, and have you leaving the shop looking like you're worth $$$. The options are plentiful and no matter what the occasion may be, you can find something that fits and matches the appropriate occasion. The price to rent a tux is the best I've seen when it comes to the quality of the product. You can drop by the day before your event with $20 to deposit and you will have your outfit in hand and the shoes are also available at a $20 fee. I rented my tux here for two proms and I was quite impressed with the service and feedback from the staff there. I considered going to the Men's Warehouse but Richard's stood out to me. One of my best friends recommended this place to me, as well as a man I met on the bus stop who rented his son's tux here. I did not regret going to Richard's, my cash was well spent. The prices range from ($135+ but the owner sometimes knocks off $10-25 if you are a nice customer). read more

Anthony Jr and Sr capture the true essence of a true full-service formal wear. Their family-owned business caters to those looking for a classic traditional look and to those looking for a modern style. They took my size and my suit fit perfect. They tailored my suit and it fit like an expensive custom-for suit. I usually rent tuxedos several times a year due to my work. I was always dissatisfied with the places I went until I found this place. Their dedication to service is amazing and the suit that they have available will without a doubt make you stand out in a classy and elegant way. I recommend all my friends to this place. The prices are also very affordable. For the service and suit you are getting, this place is a deal. The suits are made of quality material. The shoes are shined and they have numerous options that will serve your preference. It's a store that uses the name to sell lower quality goods at what appears to be bargain prices. It's not as it seems. Their everyday 40-60% off retail represents true retail that's often at inflated prices even with the discount. Here's a great example: Their stretch 5 pocket jeans. The GAP sells nearly identical products for about $70 and discounts from there. J Crew Factory sells them for $159 less 60%. You do the math. Neither is even remotely close to actual J Crew quality either in construction or fabrication. It's inferior quality marked way above retail and discounted to what is still an inflated price. Can bargains be found? Probably, but you'll have to wait until the end of the season when markdowns are taken prior to being discounted. The whole concept is totally misleading and does nothing more than dilute their brand and fool the public.

I was told to come back on Sunday when the owner is there, so we came back on Sunday. When I decided to get a refund the owner said, I will have to charge you 20% for a restocking fee. I said you taking $70 out of the $359 bc I don't want anything in the store at this time. He said, if that the amount there's nothing I can do about it. I was pissed and I explained to him we been coming here for 20 years and this is what you do to us. You have the power to do whatever you want to you the boss. The owner said, there's nothing I can do about it. I expressed people don't have money to just give to you bc they decided they don't want the merchandise. During a time the whole world is facing this pandemic and you think I'm going to give you a free $70 to put something back in stock. Basically, this is his policy with his desperate ass. My husband and I decided to keep the store credit instead of giving this thirsty store owner free money for nothing. This is the last $359 he will ever see from us!!!! Listen... I went to a couple of tuxedo shops , all of them treated me like crap and On top of of it, their merchandise was underwhelming to say the least. Thank Goodness I was led to the greatest Tuxedo spot in the world ANTHONY RICHARD'S Formal Wear! with only 2 days left til my Wedding Day ,Anthony RICHARDS Formal Wear dressed me from head to toe, my bride and I agreed that I was HOTTTTT! I was very happy with the personal touches Anthony Richard's provided such as prompt call backs( even after hours) ,Anthony Jr took his time ,fitted me properly, and settled my nerves a bit with personal stories . Anthony is very knowledgeable about his product and was more than willing to share with me to create the best look possible. This place is very good, all the Tuxedos you can ask for. Definitely a big help on any ocassions weddings, parties, etc. Anthony and his father stand by their product and very confident when picking a Tuxedo to go along with the customers occasion. They even throw free socks you can keep lolz, cant beat that. I enjoyed my coisin wedding and the cream Tuxedo with Cream shoes was a good look on me. Ant and his father always hook me up when ever I have an occasion to go to. Folks please keep shopping here for youf products if you already not, this is the place you want to be. I can't say enough good things about Anthony Richard's and my entire tuxedo experience. I had to organize 12 groomsmen, try and match the bridesmaids' dress color with our bow ties, and make sure everything looked good. Anthony Sr. and Jr. were more than up for the task. Not only did they make the entire process seamless, with their professionalism and knowledge, they far exceed my expectation with how good their tuxedo and bow tie color recommendation turned out to be. The entire bridal party looked outstanding and it's truly a testament to their dedication on making me happy. I honestly can't believe people still go to the big box stores to get lackluster service and cookie cutter looks. I can't recommend Anthony Sr. and Jr. enough. I was in Jersey this weekend for a wedding and the groom picked Anthony Richards Formal Wear for the groomsmen tuxedos. I own my own tuxedos and am very picky when it comes to formalwear. In fact I usually bring my own tuxedo pants anytime I am required to rent a tuxedo package for a wedding. As such I usually don't expect much when renting tuxedos, however, this store not only met my expectations, they exceeded them. They understood the concept of sizing down some of the jacket sizes for a more athletic fit and making proper adjustments. All the tuxes looked very nice. This store is far superior to the slop offered by men's warehouse and the other national chains. Good work Anthony Richards Formal Wear! read more

The service was excellent ,i took my two brothers to rent a tux for a black tie party. the multiple variation of tuxedos that they offer is unbelievable.. the store had all the things we were looking for and if my brothers had any questions about the tux, they were available with critical information. Not only will I be renting again from Anthony Richards I will be making sure that friends looking for tuxedos and formal wear rent and buy there as well. Both Anthony's are fantastic to work with and they both really know what a modern tux is supposed to look like. The grey tux/blue tie look really made me and the rest of the groomsmen stick out and we got a ton of compliments on not only the color scheme, but the fit. Anthony's is in their 3rd gen of providing formal wear for weddings, bar mitzvahs, etc... They simply outclass any of the national brands and local competitors.
