I traveled into town from FL and needed a tux for an event the next day. I was so impressed by the service provided to me by Hugo at the store. He stayed late to take my measurements,was super helpful in making sure I got the fit that I needed, allowed me to try on several different looks, offered recommendations and advice. He was super professional, courteous and demonstrated outstanding customer service to me in the store. In a time where service many places is somewhat poor, Hugo was a shining example to others about what it means to truly love and take pride in your job. This is my all time favorite place to go to get my clothing tailored. The experience with this location has always been amazing and therefore I can proudly say I've been coming here for years! My favorite part of coming here is how welcoming everyone is. This business is family oriented and they always make me feel at home. Few years ago we got our groom and groomsmen's attire from here. They made our experience perfect! The tailoring that Maria does is impeccable. She makes miracles happen. She once managed to extend my dress that didn't have much material in the stomach area to fit my pregnancy. The only downfall is parking. It's difficult to find parking yet that's not their fault. So when you deal with a professional vendor and that vendor makes that part of the process run smooth and without a hitch it is priceless. Santos met and exceeded all our need. You know how they say at least one major thing will go wrong with every wedding? Tuxedos by Santos was our one major thing, but let me break it down a little more: - When my husband and I went to get pick everything out, we let them know the ring bearer would be a year and a half old at the time of the wedding. - When my out of state brother called in with the measurements for the ring bearer 2/3 weeks ahead of time they said they didn't have a jacket for our Ring Bearer, but the shirt, vest, and pants would be fine (I figured that's fine, he just won't wear the jacket) - A week before the wedding Hugo (Owner?) called me to let me know the vest for the Ring Bearer is backless and would look bad without a jacket (wish I knew earlier), but at this point I felt like I didn't have too many other options - When we finally went in with my out of state family to get measured/try on suits the Ring Bearer's pants and vest were HUGE! We had to go out and buy him suit pants (which didn't match the rest of the men) and he wore a purple bow tie and suspenders. When we tried on the suspenders to rent, Hugo's mom was going to cut them to fit him, but Hugo said if we cut it we have to buy it....After all we went through with my Ring Bearer just days before the wedding Hugo was money hungry. Other than my Ring Bearer - My father got the wrong suit jacket, and was told HE made the mistake...until they realized they'd made the mistake, and got him the right jacket - All of the Groomsmen's jackets were loose fitting, when we were told they'd be fitted (I even have pictures of Hugo holding the jacket tight to show the fit) - The sole of one of my groomsmen's shoes came off completely before the wedding even started - My husband looked like he had on a sweatsuit. He went back in the morning of the wedding to get it "taken care of" as Hugo promised and had to BUY the pants for $160 in order for them to be altered the way they should have initially fit!! Overall, all of our Groomsmen had at least one thing wrong with their tuxes, and the entire experience was a MESS! If I could do my entire wedding over, the only thing I'd change is where I got our tuxes from. read more

Simply the BEST--let me reiterrate, the BEST--customer service you will ever get in the renting of formal wear. If you know anything about suits and formal wear, and you are in the market for such a purchase, simply forget all that you know and think you know and let Hugo walk you through it. Most guys I know want to come in with a preconceived notion of what they think looks good, or what is the new hot trend. You are probablly wrong. This is the business that Hugo is in and he does this every day. I might add, he does it exceptionally well. I came to Tuxedos by Santos in need of a simple black suit and a nice shirt. I walked out with a simple black suit and a nice shirt. No upselling, no unnecessary acessories like a vest or flashy shoes. I asked for one thing--that the suit not be baggy. I have large theighs so I thought getting fitted for a pair of pants would be a problen. this was not the case. I tried on one pair of pants and I thought they were to baggy. the next pair fit perfectly and they moved with my movement. Very high quality material. No polyester here. I tried on jacket. It look ill-fitting. Hugo said do not worry, this is the right jacket. It was when I picked it up, most definitely the right jacket. I am 6 feet 4 inches and 270 pounds. I was concerned with constriction in chest and under the arms. I had none of that. There is a tuxedo for every size here. And you will look great wearing whatever Hugo puts you in. When i came in to pick up my suit, I asked for a tie. I spotted a black one on the rack. Hugo found an even better one. I would be trekking through the city for several hours on foot and on subways. I was concerned as to how the suit would hold up over the course of my very long night. I started in Summit, NJ, got on a train headed to New York. Once at Penn Station, I took another train to Brooklyn where I walked a half mile to the event. I danced and partied and did something I never do--I actually took pictures because I felt so confident in how I looked! After the event ended at midnight, I took an Uber to Williamsburg and danced the night away at Club Bembe! I took the subway back to Penn Station where I waited for the sunrise train service back home. Twelve hours later, the suit was still in tact! It still looked fresh and amazing. Thank you Hugo for making me believe again that wearing suits is not as uncomfortable as it looks! this will be my go to place for any formal wear I need and I will spread the word on every social media site than I can about the wonderful service that you provided me!! My cousin and I rented suits here for his Wedding in Spain for all the groomsmen.The suits were great. They fit perfect and were very quality We were on a tight schedule so it was going to be difficult bringing the suits back on time. We explained our situation to the staff and they were very understanding. read more

This place is the most horrible place I've been too. DO NOT DO GO HERE!!! Me and my son were assaulted by the store owner. I rented a few suites a month ago and lost a vest. The clerk who helped me return the suites counted the pieces and realize I lost a vest for which I was charge a set amount and consider lost and was told if I ever found the vest to come back for my deposit. A few weeks went by and found the vest and decided hey let me take it back so I can get my refund. Unfortunately this time I was been helped by the store owner who aggressively told me I can't get my deposit back despite me telling her about what I was told. She neither wanted to contact the clerk and was told he was out of the country so I told her ok I'll just come back when he is here and talk to him. She immediately tried to snatch the vest out my hand and push me and my son not letting us out the store. I was so heated that I at this point did not want to leave and was told she was going to call the cops. I told her good go ahead and call the cops I am going to press charges against you. They arrive afterwards and the vest had to stay but didn't get a refund either. All I can say this is the worst experience of my life and don't recommend anyone go here.
