They do NOT allow photographs here. I have a memory of a goldfish and as soon as I take the dress off, I no longer remember what it looks like. It is really difficult to dress shop like this and I thought I could do it despite knowing that photos were not allowed and I was wrong. So if this is important to you, you can stop reading the other reviews and just not come. If you do not care, then I would say Joanna is sweet and the space is lovely. It is a one bride only appointment and though it is not the vastness of other bridal salons, it is spacious and clean and there are definitely a variety of dresses to try from. Joanna tries is realistic about helping you find your dress with your budget and with the criteria you give her. She definitely listens to feedback. Just come prepared! There is a $50 cancellation fee (which I think is a bit annoying honestly), life happens and you can't control it and she has a hold of your credit card. Another thing to note is that there is no flat fee for alterations for dresses here. She says that starting alterations for dresses are $600. That is not true. It really depends on what you need done, and you can check with other salons and other alterations services to get a much better price. If you're starting at $600 and it's not a set price you can easily rack up a huge alterations bill, one that costs just as much as your dress. So I would recommend doing your research and opting for a different service. It is not required however and she is transparent about that. But having done the research, I am just letting other brides know just in case they feel pressured.

I attribute this in part of what some of the reviewers have mentioned that Joanna is overbearing and creates a stressful environment. Instead of taking the time to understand my style and desire, she inundated me with more than a dozen dresses. I had been to Kleinfeld earlier that day and had fallen in love with a dress which would have cost too much due to expedited alterations. Instead of seeing that style, she started speaking bad about Kleinfeld and stressed how her gowns are one of a kind and hand made by select designers, which again as one of the reviewer mentioned, was not true. Also, I had 3 other consultants helping me, 1 of whom was sympathetic but was not allowed to speak a lot. I was pressured to say yes to the dress literally by being put on the spot when I said I liked a dress. To be completely honest, I am glad I chose the dress and I looked beautiful on my wedding day but when I said yes, Joanna basically took the card from my hand and immediately swiped it. She said there were no returns after the transaction and also told me that the recommended seamstress for alterations was leaving for Italy in 2 weeks after the transaction was made. Thanks to all this I had a panic attack that night. Also I repeatedly asked the range for alterations and I was told $500-700 and was assured I would be on the lower side as I only had 1 clip on my chest aka minor alterations. However, my alteration was $850 not to mention the multiple uber rides I had to take as I had to go in more than half a dozen times. Ultimately I ended up spending more than my budget and could have easily found something at a lower price point with some patience. Overall if I could go through my dress shopping again, I would not go here.

The pants were especially bad, the center seam was haphazardly pinched and sown together. With my wedding in two weeks, I gave these guys a call, and it was the best decision ever. Not only did they turn it around in time, I felt so taken care of. Nick and the team are truly amazing. They obsessed over the results more than I did, and wouldn't stop until it was perfect. It's been this way for years, and it's gotten worse. Occasionally someone will smile or at least not scowl, and stop talking about skincare and social plans for long enough to help a customer, but mostly it's borderline hostile from the moment they unlock the door and deign to let you into their precious store. The assistant raised her voice, spoke to me in an extremely disrespectful way, and told me to come pick up my dress if I was "trying to negotiate," which I was NOT. I was simply trying to make the alterations more affordable. She refused to provide an ITEMIZED breakdown and instead doubled down on being aggressive and dismissive. She also told me that if I removed the skirt alteration, the bodice alone would cost TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS and that she would NOT adjust pricing to reflect the reduced work. When I went to pick up my dress, the same assistant avoided eye contact and denied the entire interaction. A coworker who overheard the phone call came with me and confirmed EXACTLY how I was spoken to. Even then, there was NO apology, NO accountability, and NO attempt to make things right. The lack of professionalism, transparency, and basic respect is honestly SHOCKING, especially for a business working with brides during such an important time. I left feeling disrespected, dismissed, and completely unsupported. This was one of the WORST customer service experiences I've ever had.
