I had the best experience with Nick and Stacy. From the first call to make appointment to alter my tuxedo for my son's wedding. I had beautiful, high quality Armani Tux, but I had lost 55 pounds and my local tailor said nothing could be done to fit me. She was wrong! Nick took one look and said "no problem". I rarely leave reviews for anything unless it's food related, but I felt compelled to right something. I needed to find a place for alterations for my wedding dress and did A LOT of research. This place did an exceptional job!!! Nick and Stacy who own the place are extremely friendly, professional, and you can tell they truly care. I live 30+ minutes away and think the commute is 100% worth it. I came back four times over the course of a few months. The dress turned out beautifully. It was multi layered, with detailing and had the hips taken in, length shortened, and little sleeves added. I also had a rush job for a rehearsal dinner dress where they completed in two days (standard turnaround is 2-3 weeks I think). Shoutout to Nellie for doing an amazing job on both of these and for being an overall amazing person to work with! Wedding dress alterations were ~$700-800 and my rehearsal dinner dress alterations were ~$285 (included is a $50 charge for being a rush job which makes sense). Wonderful team of people, and they managed to save my wedding dress just a few days before the event. A different seamstress attempted to alter my wedding dress with layers of embroidery and chiffon/tulle four times and made everything uneven and warped every time, but since my wedding was one week away I gave up on her and resigned myself to a sloppy look. Week of, I decided I'd try a different shop, and thank god the rave reviews are right! They were able to turn around the dress immediately, and I'm finally excited to wear my wedding dress in a couple days. Always professional and reliable. I've had several pieces tailored by Beyond Bespoke, and I've been happy with the quality every time. They really do get the job done correctly, and I even noticed that their blind hemming post-tailoring was even better than the original blind hem. My only gripe is I have to brace myself for the price every time. Taking up a spaghetti strap on a dress was $35 (which probably means anything other than a very thin, simple non-adjustable strap would be in the range of $40+). Taking in the sides of a dress meant each side was charged ($35 for each side so $70 total for taking it in). Shortening the waist on a jumpsuit was a whopping $150. I feel my butthole clench after each consultation. If you're not happy with the tailoring, they do give a guarantee where you can make adjustments for free on the same piece afterwards, though I haven't used that yet. I've been looking for a reliable tailor for years. I came across Beyond Bespoke on Instagram. They are located near my office, so I decided to give them a try. I had a pair of suit pants that were desperately out of style and needed to be taken in. The suit jacket wasn't so hot either -- it is an English suit, but with some Italian flourishes, and I wanted a slimmer profile to match. I've worn the jacket a few times, but the suit as a whole was too embarrassing to wear in public. I didn't even need to explain what I wanted to the folks at Beyond Bespoke -- they saw its potential immediately. We did a fitting, and I left it in their hands. Two weeks later, I returned to find what seemed like a whole new suit. It fit like a glove, comfortable but nowhere baggy. The work wasn't cheap, nor was it expensive, in the sense that I paid good money for outstanding work. Never thought you could be treated so nicely and feel so well taken care of at a tailor of all places but you really feel this way the minute you walk into their space and then again when you come to pick up your clothing - beyond is really the best word for it. You can really feel that this is Nick's craft while he is measuring the adjustments and providing you with his input and suggestions. He really wants to make sure everything is perfect but even more so that you are happy with the work. I wanted a DVF wrap dress made into a wrap shirt and in two weeks, like magic it looks like I bought it this way right off the shelf! The best thing is as you are about to leave they will let you know the work is guaranteed- Nick said if I had any issues to just come back and they would be happy to adjust anything if needed. Needed a tailor for my clothes since I'm 5'1" and nothing fits like it should unless I'm getting teeny tiny clothes. I had a blouse I got years ago from a UK brand, but was not able to wear it once because I needed to get it altered. My seamstress in Jersey did not take in the blouse enough and it was still very large. I yelped a good seamstress in NYC since I now live here and found this place with great ratings so I decided to give this place a go. I had to make an appointment to drop off the shirt. The lady pinned the shirt and told me to come back in two weeks. They called me a few days after I dropped off the blouse to discuss how I wanted the shirt to look and fit. I went into detail about how I planned on wearing it and they gave me their input so we can get this shirt right. When I went to pick up the shirt, the guy wanted me to try it on and he started pinning things again. He didn't want me walking out of his shop with a product he was not happy about. When I told me that, I knew this place was going to be my go to place for all my alterations (I have a bag full of unworn clothes bc they need to be altered). They are a bit of a walk from my home, but I am more than happy to walk over. I have not gotten my shirt back yet, but I am 100% sure that I will love it. I stumbled upon this place as I was looking for a good tailor near my office. It is hard to find a very good tailor these days. I don't mean for minor alterations, but for major work. I had a suit that needed to be altered from top to bottom. I lost some weight and the suit was hanging off of me. The guys at Beyond were super friendly, and explained everything they proposed I get altered and why. Then came the price. These guys are not cheap, but they price things a-la-carte, so you can do some things and not others and talk it over with them. They do not hard sell what needs to be done. They are sensitive to the fact you may not want to spend endless amounts of money. I came back a couple of weeks later and my suit looked excellent. They did an amazing job. Nick and his team are excellent. I first went to them to get a tuxedo made for my wedding and I was delighted with it. Stacie was really helpful, taking me through every small detail of the design to help create exactly what I was looking for. Nick was meticulous in his process and made sure that every part of the tux was perfect, checking with me at each step to see how I felt about the comfort and style. Their custom shirts really impressed me; they're incredibly soft and comfortable. If you're in need of a high quality dress shirt, I'd highly recommend getting one. As a New York bride who purchased her wedding dress in her home state of Maryland, I was faced with the daunting task of finding a bridal tailor in the city I could trust with my beloved dress. I *almost* left my dress with another tailor in the East Village but after a botched bridesmaids dress alteration, I was way too terrified to let them touch my bridal gown. I read almost every review for Beyond Bespoke and finally decided to come in for a fitting. Initially, I was terrified by the suggested alterations to my dress - they recommended a lot more than I thought was necessary. But they seemed knowledgeable and so I trusted them. Fast forward a few months, and I can't believe that I was ever so hesitant. There was definitely some major sticker shock when I first learned how much the alterations would cost (nearly as much as my dress), but trying it on after everything was done was worth every single penny. The attention to detail and the time/effort they take to build a personal relationship with each of their clients really shows in the quality of their work. They really do go "beyond" - I would not hesitate to recommend them for ANY type of alterations work, especially bridal gowns. As my wedding day is still 2 weeks away, I can't yet share the "before and after" photos, but couldn't resist from leaving a preliminary review to rave about this place. Normalize 20 somethings getting their ish tailored!!! For years I've been just buying ugly belts for my pants cause my waist to butt ratio gives me issues with clothing. I brought my satin pants I got off princess Polly here and they did an amazing job - fits like a glove. They even have a 6 month bring-back policy so that you can adjust when things stretch etc. They're sweet and just do a great job. Always happy when I leave. I hardly ever think to review business on Yelp (despite always reading the reviews before I go just about anywhere), but Beyond Bespoke deserves every exceptional review they get. After an incredibly lackluster experience with the tailoring department where I had purchased my wedding dress, I was so nervous to take my dress somewhere else for alterations. As soon as I scheduled with Beyond Bespoke, I knew I was in good hands. I'll name three (among many) of the qualities I appreciated in this establishment: 1) Ease of scheduling appointments. As a busy, full-time employed person, I struggled to find tailors that would see me on the weekend and in the evenings. Beyond Bespoke managed to do both, and even expedited my last fitting at no additional cost so I ship my dress on time to my out-of-town venue. 2) Professionalism. Everyone, from the staff at front desk, to the owners, to the kind woman who completed my alterations was so nice, and made me feel instantly at home every time I walked in. 3) The work! I don't have a "before" picture, but Beyond Bespoke transformed my dress. This dress, while a beautiful from the jump, needed a lot of work. I had to get over the initial sticker shock when they told me the cost of alterations (it wasn't cheap!), but the tailors saw my end vision, and on the day of, I think it was worth everything I paid. I had two gowns altered by Nellie at Beyond Bespoke. She did beautiful work on both (they each needed to taken in, and one needed straps shortened and hemming), one of which I wore to the Emmys this September. I was pleasantly surprised by how reasonable the prices were given the quality of the work and the Manhattan location (I once paid $120 for just a simple hem at a competing high-end alterations place, and had been tricked into thinking that was the norm around here!). Stacie, the store manager, was so sweet and helpful during my drop-off and pick-up visits. I left a book behind by accident during one visit and she texted me to let me know so I could retrieve it right away. If you're interested in getting alterations done here, make an appointment as soon as it occurs to you because they get very busy, especially during the summer. Family owned business with a really sweet and kind atmosphere I came here to get my Floravere wedding dress altered. They did such a fantastic job! Each fitting was quick but thorough - the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming and my seamstress (Nelly) was not only absolutely adorable, but was very helpful with suggestions and explaining why each alteration was recommended. The team NEVER EVER pushes the alterations though, they make it clear that they're sensitive to costs and point out which adjustments are the most needed vs leaning towards optional. That also quote pricing along the way so you can track costs. They did such a beautiful job on my wedding dress that I dragged my husband in to get his suit (and a few of my clothes) in for alterations. Within minutes of getting his suit pinned, my husband looked amazing and it was obvious the suit was going to look phenomenal. Nick, his wife Stacy (sp?) and (I think) brother were all kind, knowledgeable and very obviously close knit. They care so much about what they do and providing quality service to their customers. Been meaning to write this review for a while, but better late than never! Attn Attn, all you last-minute procrastinators : I was slightly (or out of my mind) panicking because I had a gala event in less than a week and my gown was way too long.... (a common problem since I'm only 5'4") didn't help that APPARENTLY May is wedding season and every other place quoted me at least 2-3 weeks. I even thought about cutting the dress myself--I MEAN WHAT ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO DO IF YOURE DRAGGING YOUR DRESS BY 4 inches The guys at Beyond Bespoke are super nice, accommodating, and QUICK! Most importantly, they're good at what they do. It was my first time wearing a floor length gown, which meant I didn't know what to expect and me being the klutz that I am, I was super worried about tearing or tripping over my own dress. I also didn't know what length was appropriate for the train of the dress, which Nick kindly helped me with. I did pay for rush service because I needed my gown ASAP. And I was even more pleased when they redid my dress the same day since the dress was still a bit too long after the first alteration. So bottom line, they're not cheap, but the quality is great, and Nick, Andre, and the woman who did the actual alteration have great attitudes even when they're super busy (which is almost always). I purchased a Giorgio Armani tuxedo for my wedding from a high-end department store in midtown and initially got it tailored there. I had reservations about doing so, but timing was tight and I was stressing out the bride. But when I picked it up from the department store, their tailoring was all wrong. The front wasn't sitting flat. The seat was too big. The sleeves weren't even. It was a disaster. I brought it home and my fiancée immediately called Nick at Beyond Bespoke. He was able to squeeze us in the next day, nine days before our wedding. At our first appointment, without any judgment, he instantly diagnosed all the issues we'd need to fix and helpfully walked me through some additional tweaks that could make for a slightly more modern look. I told him to do it all. I went back again that day for a second fitting--he really wanted to get the pants right. Once I knew what shirt I was wearing with the tux, I brought that in so he could get the sleeve lengths right and also reduce some volume on the arms. We did a third and final fitting just four days before the wedding. Nick not only fixed the tux but calmly assured me along the way that it would all work out, and it did.
