I don't come to this part of LA very often since I live on the East Side, but today I found myself in the area and decided to give this restaurant a try. I'm genuinely glad I did, because both the food and the service were fantastic--and I felt they absolutely warranted a review. I'm familiar with Mediterranean cuisine, so I already had a good idea of what to expect from the menu. Even so, nearly everything I ordered exceeded my expectations. To start, the lahmajune was one of the best I've had so far. I especially appreciated that it came with fresh accompaniments like lettuce, tomato, cilantro, onions, and a lemon on the side. The hummus came with a small bread basket, which I wasn't expecting, but both were so good that I had no complaints about the surprise. Then came the rice pudding, which was ridiculously good. I genuinely considered ordering another serving before I left. By the end of the meal, every item I ordered had exceeded my expectations, and I'd be more than happy to come back. But the food wasn't the only reason I enjoyed this place. The service was equally impressive. A young woman working the register was incredibly patient, attentive, and welcoming. She offered me extras without me having to ask, checked in on me periodically to make sure everything was going well, and consistently came by with a smile. That small gesture really reinforced the feeling that I was genuinely welcome there rather than simply being another customer passing through. Great food can bring you back once, but great service makes you want to become a regular. In this case, I got both. If you're considering trying this place, I'd say go for it--and maybe make it one of your new regular spots. I hope you enjoy your experience as much as I enjoyed mine. read more

Ended 2025 trying Doner Corner for the first time on New Year's Eve. I ordered the Doner plate and Sojouk & Cheese Pide. I was told by the owner that their doner meat is so flavorful that it doesn't need any sauce. But I'm a saucy American girl and ordered the tzatziki just in case. He was not wrong, the meat was quite flavorful and delicious, but I did dip the meat and pita and lavash in the tzatziki cause I like to dip baby dip. Fries were basic. 4/5 The pide, much like a football shaped pizza, was good, but the sojouk (sausage) had an intense smokey flavor that I couldn't quite get over. It was good, just not for me. 3/5 Customer service was great. The owner taking my order was very nice, and gave me free Turkish tea and Turkish delight while I waited for my food. Will I be back? Yes. I enjoyed the doner meat and would like try the Iskender and a sandwich. I would not order a pide again. Once was enough. I stopped by because I was in the area and in the mood for some Pide and Iskender. It was everything my husband and I were craving. I think I would've missed the spot, but I came here with a Turkish friend and I'm really glad I discovered this place. we came here as a group because one of my friends celebrate Ramadan and, I loved the special they were serving during that time! it was a great way for me to sample a variety of foods I had never had before. I recently was in the area and I stopped by again. we had the donor plate and the lahmajun-which is my personal favorite, which taste like a very delicious slightly more exotic flatbread.. it seems like a small operation, but everybody that works there is very efficient. First time having Lahmajun, and it didn't disappoint! it was crispy, soft, fragrant and fresh! The quick squeeze of the lemon made a huge difference and complimented the lahmajun. The iskender is so goood and they come to your table sometimes to drop butter on your plate (iykyk). It's my go-to order every single time but husband and I also always order 3 entrees. Doner sandwich, doner plate, lahmacun, and pide... are all so good. Honestly, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. We come here at least once a week, that's how much we love it. Been here multiple times since they first opened but must say they are doing a much better job with Shawarma/Gyro. It was delicious and very well done compare to before. Service was very good. We appreciated to see clean tables free of piles of plates and dirty napkins left on other tables while we dine, which I really don't like. They definitely improved. Stopped at Doner Corner totally unexpectedly! Just happened to be driving and spotted it! Wait! What! We had to park and check it out. Absolutely delicious! Had the Doner Sandwich and the Lemajun. The sandwich was so authentic to the Turkish and German version. Total flavor with every bite. The Lamajun had a very nice crisp crunch to the crust and the spices of the topping were awesome! Unfortunately, I went there based on a friend's recommendation, but I definitely won't be going back. You're not getting a high-end dining experience, yet the prices are definitely high-end. My advice: check the menu and prices before you go. My experience was simply too expensive for what you get, and I wouldn't repeat it. If they don't reconsider their pricing and value, I honestly worry they could end up facing the same fate as places like Cafe Istanbul in Beverly Hills. read more

You order at the register, and the food comes to your table. Plenty of seating. Service was really fast, even though we went at a super crowded time. They make everything from scratch, including their pita, which is a huge plus. I tried the Iskender, sujuk & cheese pide, lahmacun, çiğ köfte, and homemade ayran. We went here for dinner and the experience was very disappointing, mainly due to poor service and lack of professionalism. There were three staff members working (an older man and two young women), yet basic customer care was missing. We were seated as two guests but only one set of utensils was brought to the table. When we asked for another, the staff seemed distracted and were laughing among themselves instead of addressing the request properly. Later, when I asked for extra parsley, the server attempted to take food directly from our plate at the table instead of bringing a small side plate, which felt inappropriate and unprofessional. Despite leaving a good tip, the level of service never improved. There was no attentiveness, no courtesy, and no sense of experience. As for the food, we ordered lahmacun. For a meat-based dish, it lacked flavor and had very little meat--mostly peppers--making it unbalanced and disappointing. Overall, this place failed both in service and food quality. The service was odd - we stood at the register for a while before being acknowledged at all. Then after we ordered and got our food, the staff seemed to check-in with other tables but never with us. I walked up to the register to get sauce and again it took awhile for me to be acknowledged. As for the food, the prices are pretty steep for what you get. We have wanted to try this place for some time. Delicious!! Finding good Iskender Doner is hard. This is the place. Huge serving with meat that is absolutely perfect. The perfect amount of sauce and bread. I took enough home for lunch the next day. (My hubby ate his whole plate so you can gobble it all down) After the main meal we had authentic Istanbul baklava (and yes, there is a difference) delicious. It's off the 405 so I am putting this on our LA trips food run. We also got two sandwiches for take out. Deconstructed so the bread wouldn't get soggy. So Good. No comparison with our local place. I was excited another Mediterranean spot opened up in my neighborhood and couldn't wait to try. I didn't have time to sit and eat, so decided to order for pick-up instead. I got the Doner Over Rice with two sides tzatziki and ezme. I wasn't sure what the second item was, but wanted to try it and did not regret it one bit! It was so yummy. I'm interested in the other menu items because I've never had it before, particularly the pides. I think the food would taste even better dining in so when the holiday season dies down, I plan on going there one night for dinner. When I went to pick up the food everyone inside was so nice and the interior was very clean and more spacious than it looks from the outside. What a great neighborhood gem. From the traditional donor plate (with fries!) to the homemade baklava (flown in fresh from Turkey!) we loved everything we ate.
