This Donatos in the Columbus Airport is pretty good. They usually have some pre-made personal pizza pies available, but they do sell out fast depending on how crowded the airport is. If they're out of the pre-made ones, and you have some time, definitely get a fresh one made. This location is just as good as a "real" Donatos, at least for the pizza. It's always crispy and delicious. I had a hot chicken hoagie too and it was meh. It's in the Southwest Airlines portion next to the Vino Volo. Other options here are Chilis, Starbucks, and Vino Volo and Donates is definitely the best choice! read more

(Disclaimer: that's how they feel veggie; don't come for me) My husband thought the pizza did not have enough pizza sauce. My 5.5 year-old thought the cheese pizza was two cheesy. My brand new four-year-old found the cheese pizza to be just fine. I really enjoyed the seasonings on the veggie pizza. I thought I gave a good flavor. This location only serves thin crust and cauliflower crust. We had thin crust on both pizzas. It was more crispy on the veggie pizza, which the adults appreciated. The restaurant has seating, but stayed busy. So, we had to scope out a table while we waited for our pizza. Luckily, a table for four opened up just before our order came up. I have never had a cauliflower crust pizza that was as good as one with a wheat-based crust. Until now. I ordered the Founder's Special on the cauliflower crust, and it was amazing! This is some of the best pizza I've ever had, and it's at an airport of all places! Pizza was delish! Crispy pepperoni with a nice layer of grated parm all over. The crust was different. At first it tasted kinda dry but then it was a good balance to the toppings kinda like a shortbread cookie is a good kind of dry when it's covered in chocolate. The only reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is the ordering process. Maybe it's the time of day (tho noon on a Fri seems like a steady business hour) but the big wall menu and bottled water/soda counter area has a sign telling you to order at the bar instead. Well the bar tender was plenty busy making drinks and that area is really crowded plus she's racking up food orders. Pizza took a bit of time too. Worst service ever. The person peeping the pizza and the person behind the register were barely breathing. My order was 57. At order 80 I asked if it was coming 30 minutes after I ordered it. The register person said waiting on the sandwich but it was clear no one had started it. They were rude and incompetent. This is an airport location and there was no notice to the customers that the self serve individual pizza they ordered would take 20 minutes to be ready. Worst experience ever. They had a better selection of beer so we came here. The staff was completely overwhelmed (three people working total including making the food). I'm giving them 4 stars because they truly hauled ass and did the best they could to make sure everyone was served quickly and accurately. Since we were all drinking, they ran out of glasses quickly but improvised. The beers ran out quickly with so much demand but there were still some good options on draft. Seems like the layout is nice and new and the food looks just like every other Donatos, which is a favorite of mine and I try to get when I can now that I no longer live in Columbus. The service here however could not have been worse. I'm not sure if some sort of break was going on, but a 15 person line grew due to no one being at the counter. The bartender tried to help after some time and asked the line come to the bar counter to order. While about 10 of the 15 were still waiting in line at the bar, someone finally showed up at the cashier counter and started taking orders for people who had just walked up and had not yet waited! By the time we finally made it to the bar counter, about 10 people had been served who had all walked up after us back at the cashier counter. The bartender proceeded to resume taking orders from the people sitting at the bar while we stood there still waiting, and at that point we decided to leave to make our flight. It is unlikely we will return to this location due to their poor staff planning and customer service, which is a shame. read more

I simply asked if they could bring me something of which they forgot to include with my original order. The manager said no way though I had spent possibly as much as five figures over the years as a valuable customer. My Brother Randy was a dialysis patient (now deceased)...and as the staff had been very good to Randy, over a 2 year period I ordered some 12 pizzas (6 pies per order) from them. Food is always great and fresh, I normally get the Big Don sub with extra Italian dressing on the side ( 50 cent extra ). This particular location also has a bar, the bartenders are always very nice and drinks never disappoint. One con is that the last 4 times that I've gotten a Big Don it has not had the Roma tomatoes added. So check your sub before you leave, one time I happened to check before my flight and noticed they weren't there and was told they didn't have any. Would have been nice to have that information before my purchase. So check for tomatoes! They will not tell you when they don't have them. read more

Here's what happened - very rude associate. I ordered a 7-inch cheese pizza and soda, deal number 1. Upon ordering the associate told me to go and grab my pizza and soda. There was a line so I said no, that's okay, I'll just pay and get it in a second. She got short with me at that moment and insisted upon me grabbing the items, halting the transaction. I was literally handing her cash as she again asked me to grab a pizza and soda. The transaction would have been complete in a matter of 15 seconds or less. She did not even attempt to apologize for being short with me or for basically demanding me to grab a pizza immediately. I also made sure to tell her that I had to wait 5 minutes before she arrived to the counter for the order. To that she replied with a straight face "sure you did." I'm not sure who trained this employee in customer service, but that pretty much tells you everything about this encounter. I did not deserve to be treated that way, especially as someone giving her money for the services she was providing. That response tells you everything - a simple "I'm sorry" would have gone a long way in resolving the issue, but that did not happen. To add to it, I saw two other associates standing around during the time I waited for someone to be at the counter to take an order as the line kept growing. It was 12:43pm on a weekday - lunch time.
