Tasty donair place inside Old Orchard Centre, on the W side. Parking is plentiful in the strip mall lot. The place looks almost like a dungeon. It is several steps below ground, unlike the adjacent businesses. There is a small covered (but not enclosed) underground patio with maybe 6 seats. There is no interior seating. Staff were pretty friendly. No complaints. They have the typical Middle Eastern fare, with donairs and plates available. The lamb donair I had hit the spot. They didn't skimp out on the filling, which is nice. Great place to visit if one wants a snack, especially late in the evening. Recommended. read more

What drew me to this place was the line up of people ordering from this little place that didn't look fancy and was sooo small. Really, really small place in Old Orchard Centre along Kingsway. Lots of free parking and bonus that there's a grocery store nearby. Seating for one person inside and a few outside. This place is super super small and is mostly a take-out place. They serve your typical donairs and plates at reasonable prices. I tried the beef donair and was pleasantly surprised. They didn't skimp out on the meat, it was not dry, and it was yummy! This place is ok, it's close to my place and every time I walk by it smells really good. I always order takeout, there's like a couple of tables inside and a couple outside. I always order the lamb donair, it's pretty good, they put lots of stuff in them so they are a good size. The last time I ordered from there it was kinda late and I dunno how long the meat was sitting out there for. (all day?) But anyways, my stomach was not feeling good that night. It's a pretty nice place. actually. Very tasty and delicious chicken and beef / lamb donair. Only problem I have with this place is not the food, but the staff. There's several male staff and one female. Guys usually tends to put good amount of meat / chicken in the serving plate. Very much appreciate that. But the girl, for some reasons always tends to put very little amount of meat in the donair plate Too much rice, very little meat. So, my advise, if the girl is there expect a half portion of meat in your plate. Which makes me not completely enjoy the experience and satisficed with the service. read more

There is this tantalizing smell coming from below as you walk past. Look down and you will see Donair Delight below street level. There is a short flight of stairs to enter and there are some tables available for dining. Guess that is considered "patio" dining since it is not inside. It is a small and a bit run down looking place. The menu is behind on the wall. Nothing fancy, just some home cooked delicious food. I ordered the beef rice plate which came with salad and hummus and pita. It was nice. I guess I am not used to seeing the beef being cut into small thin pieces. The hummus was in a small container. Family owned business, small gig and presently to-go only due to covid-19 precautions. Another joint that is cash only. I got the beef platter and chicken samosa. For some reason Indian and Middle Eastern cuisines really hit my taste buds. the beef platter was so good, meat was so tender with some parts toasted the meat was not dry like what I had in other gig. The blending of flavors and aroma adds on the quality of the dish. I love it. I also order 1 piece of chicken samosa, well to be honest nothing unique with it, not bad but just regular. The owner who also run the show in that place was friendly. Was having some late night cravings and wanted to opt for a healthier alternative. This place is conveniently located in the strip mall of save on foods, pearl castle, Chico chicken, bc cannibis etc, so there is parking available. Upon ordering I was craving donairs, but the photo of their chicken plate looked delicious and I couldn't say no! My boyfriend and I both ordered chicken platter, but he opt for tabuleh? Salad and I opted for Greek salad. Surprisingly this place is more healthier than most donair places. Their salads didn't have any dressing on it and it wasn't as flavourful or saucy as other places (not a bad thing tho!). Their hummus was also healthy and I loved it! I wanted to try this place since it smelled really good every time I passed by. On top of that the reviews were good. I ordered two chicken platters and one falafel to go. The first chicken platter looked fine. Normal amount of chicken and rice. But very stingy and little with the Greek salad. However, the second chicken platter barely had any chicken in it. That was really upsetting why would you rip off people like that? The falafel platter was filled normally but I wouldn't go back. Turned off from being the stinginess and half a- job on the second order. It was also overpriced. Plus it wasn't anything special. It's average. Good Secret Spot for Lunch The window right outside the meat is a temptation that only few can resist. It was my first time ordering here after passing place for the past 2 weeks straight. I ordered the chicken plate; great taste and juicy meat; tastes the best around lunch I assume. That said, lunch time is the most busiest time, so I had to wait ~15 minutes. That's worst case scenario though as I ordered right after a large order. Got to chat with some regulars and told me it was worth the wait; another guy chimed in on how he frequents the place few times a month. I understand why; food is great. Hummus is amazing. Baklava was not too sweet and hits the right spot and still warm. Only problem is place is very cramped. A lot of people packed and waiting in one spot. And angry uber drivers yelling about slow service. All in all, great place for lunch. Had mates asking me where I got my food. read more

I stopped in since it was late and I had to do a couple things in this plaza. It was only about 7:30pm but they didn't have any chicken. I opted for the beef plate instead. Portion size was decent. Not sure if the plate was supposed to come with a pita, but there wasn't one. First bite in I got a thick piece of metal in my mouth (maybe about 1cm X 0.5cm). It looked like it had been cut off of something using one of the electric knives. I tried to cautiously eat more but it completely ruined my appetite. Taste was mediocre at best. We've patroned this food place even before the present management. The food is generally good and that's part of the reason why we would pick up food from them. Besides, it's usually a convenient place to pick up food. Even though the food is good, their services are less to be desired recently. That is if you are picking up food for bigger groups. It seems like they are not able to anticipate it and get stressed out when they could not deal with the volume and blames the customer/patron when it happens. We've called ahead and given them the heads up and allowed their other customers to pass through while we waited patiently. It is not just annoying but if you talk about services...that's the worst thing to do. (blames the customer) It's not a restaurant. Quite disappointing to say the least!! read more

I stumbled into this place when I was visiting family in Vancouver and wow I am so glad I did. I ordered the gyro with half chicken and half lamb and my aunt got the lamb plate. I was pretty hungry so I gobbled up the gyro. Meat was perfectly seasoned without being too salty. The bread was very good, not too thick not too thin. Lamb plate was excellent and both my aunt I enjoyed it very much. I'd be back here again mext time for sure. read more

Not sure how this place hasn't been reviewed yet. It's been around since I've lived in the area. This is kind of an old hole in the wall donair place. The prices are decent, but the quality is just ok. Occasionally there are flies flying around which kind of ruins the mood. But the schawerma combo plate that with rice and salad will fill you up for under $7.50. I wonder if they make their own samosas or not. I've had a donair here the past 3 days in a row and I'm craving one now. Donairs are 6.20 without tax and always fresh and well made, good size, not sloppy or greasy and they give me the right amount of hot sauce. Sometimes takes 2 minutes, other times 10 but it's expected from a small place owed and run by a couple. read more

My husband and I live in the area so we come to this place from time to time. We always like the food and the price is very good too. A nice, neat, simple and clean restaurant.
