Customer service is phenomenal. Very friendly and warm. When I was indecisive, I was even offered a sample of the meat! (The lamb is AMAZING, I recommend this.) Serving size is HUGE! Falafel was moist and tasty, veggies fresh with no taste of pesticide or spray to make them look fresh when they're not. i haven't been in a while, I remembered it was really great fresh ingredient, i ordered two chicken donairs one with tomato and onion, one chicken platter no sauce. my tomato was mold tasting and turned off by it so I didn't eat it, I called to just say sorry I think you may need to throw away your tomatoes and cut new ones. I got a couple gross ones and all she said was yes let me check, then said no they were just made, then said yah okay. Didn't once say sorry about my experience. Had the beef platter and the special of the day, which was the chicken platter. They both include a 1/2 piece of pita bread which is sad, and side of Greek salad and hummus. The flavours were great, but my issue was the Greek salad was over-drenched with a watered down vinegarette and when I used my fork to grab a piece of cucumber, my whole tray was leaking! The chicken is well portioned and I actually enjoyed the rice. Wasn't too strong but did have a bit of butter flavour. Maybe that's why? The baklava is large and so worth the $1.69. If you still have room, do it. Just try one. Just one! My main reasons giving 3 stars is because, #1: Got overcharged. Bought the large 99cent can of Arizona iced tea and was charged for snapple $2.29. (I would of asked for the $1.29 difference or even got one more can, to call it even, but the lineup was out the door and I know that they owner and the one girl were both panicking, so I let it slide. #2: cleanliness. I never once saw them qas their hands, while handle cash and food and we Ate there for 30 min! not even one time. That's my turn off, even when he grabbed the baklava I just realized now. fml! I visited the take-out location of "Donair Affair" at 148 Street and 108 Avenue. The 3 employees behind the counter were wearing masks (one below an employee's nose). None were wearing gloves and prepared the donair with their bare hands. Two employees were directly involved with the order passing my donair from one to the other. That same employee then took my cash and handed me my change, again without gloves or disinfecting his hands. Because of other customers I didn't want to create a fuss there, but I don't believe this is good practise during these COVID times read more

I am usually a huge fan of Donair affair, I've been to a number of their restaurants in Surrey. The chicken mushroom with jalapenos is what I always order, and they're always delicious. Tonight however, I stopped by the Donair Affair by Fraser Hwy and 160th, and ordered my usual. The girl did a perfect job of putting it together, and I brought it home to eat. It was for some reason quite a bit greasier than usual, but still good. This is however, until halfway through I found something very hard and sharp in my mouth. I spit my mouthful out only to find a sharp chicken bone, (about an inch and a half long), along with a number of smaller shards of chicken bone. I'm not sure how this happens as they usually carve the meat off the spit, so how would there be bones in it? I called the restaurant right away to bring it to their attention. I thought they should go through the pot of chicken with a fine tooth comb to ensure there were no more shards of bone in there. While the girl on the phone was very apologetic, she did say, "yes we know. Another customer complained about this earlier, it must be the supplier, but we're very sorry this happened to you." I got the feeling after hanging up that they weren't going to go through the chicken to check for bones. These are very sharp, dangerous shards of chicken. Thankfully I chew my food well because if I'd accidentally swallowed one of these shards, it could have done serious damage. It certainly has me doubting I'll order the chicken again. Donair Affair is the best donair I've had in Surrey. A1 Donair across the street can't compare. The restaurant is just a few minutes away from Guildford Town Centre, so the location is convenient. Just recently renovated so the restaurant looks more modern and the signage is updated. It is cash or debit only, and they charge you a few cents if you decide to use debit. In my opinion, the best meat to choose from is the chicken, then lamb, and finally beef. Can't go wrong with either though because all of them are delicious. The regular donair is composed of meat, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, cheese, and some sauces, all wrapped in a pita. You can get various special donairs such as Hawaiian (adds pineapple and another sauce), mushroom (grilled mushrooms and onions), and a couple others. A regular donair goes for roughly $6 and a special donair is up to $8. They do charge extra for the cheese and any additional toppings, which is can be quite a turn off. They also have unique Arizona teas to choose from as well, but they overcharge you ($2, even though it says 99 cents on the can!). read more

This location used to be run by a couple older folks. Not sure if they sold it but the last two times I've been in here there are two young girls working. The first time one of them was sitting at the food line eating pieces of the pita bread and playing on her phone, quickly rinsed hands with water, no soap, and dried them. Second time I went in she was again playing on her phone while carving the beef while the other girl was standing there twirling her hair. When I wanted to order both girls only quickly rinsed their hands with water, no soap again and tried to make my order. I had to ask them to properly wash their hands. These girls need to be taught proper food handling hygiene. Put the phones away from the food line and stop twiddling their hair and eating food where food is made. It is quite frankly disgusting and not food safe whatsoever. It's not hard to wash your hands with soap and water. Fraser Health needs to do a surprise visit here. read more

I couldn't actually eat here. I'm very visibly 9 months pregnant and have gestational diabetes. I cannot eat rice nor can I eat pita. The carbs spike my blood sugar and hurt the baby. I asked for a salad with chicken on top. I was told by the manager that this is not possible, that I would have to separately order a donair (full price, even though I just wanted the bit of chicken) and a salad (full price) just to have a tiny bit of chicken added to my salad. They refused to "add topping" or be flexible at all. I left without getting anything. Way to be inflexible with dietary needs (not even preferences). I was recommended to try the donairs at this chain. We ordered one regular beef donair and one Hawaiian chicken donair. The beef and chicken were well marinated. Hence, the meat was very flavourful. I found the topping selection to be on the simpler side. My beef donair included lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cucumber, feta and sauces. It was alright but I know there are better topping options available elsewhere. The value is great! Each donair was stuffed to max capacity. Also, they have specials on certain days posted. Restaurant was bright and there is plenty of seating. The floor could benefit from regular sweeping as I found traces of everyone else's leftovers on the floor under the seating area. read more

The last 4 times I have come here, the atm handheld machine has been filthy. It has a clear plastic cover over top of the keypad and it has dried up crud from peoples fingers. Everytime I come her it has been like this. Whenni brought it to their attention I was and always have been met with silence. If you come here and you are not satisfied and full, I will take YOU out to dinner. (hehe, totally kidding.) I've gone a couple times with my friends during our lunch break. The line-up during lunch time is always busy and that is always a good sign. There is not much seating space so I figured the line-up would go by fast. It sure did! The service was extremely quick and they managed to help a line of 25 people in a matter of 10 minutes (maybe even less!). It was especially convenient because it was lunch time and of course, being the amazing student I am, I did not want to be late. Okay okay, enough about the service, the seating and my amazing qualities (punctual, organized and good at multitasking) as a student, this place is fantastic for donairs. This is my go-to place whenever I want to go and grab a huge bite to eat and I've only got $5.70 in my savings account. I don't get what I paid for, I get more... and some MORE on top of that. These donairs are FREAKIN' HUGE. You have a choice of chicken, lamb, and beef. I normally choose chicken because it's safe. They literally stuff the pita with your choice of meat, and then stuff it some more with your choices of vegetables, and then your choice of sauces - they wrap it up nicely and let you have at it! Donairs are always fun to eat - a little messy, mind you, but trust me, it's all worth it. I would give this place 5 stars but the only thing keeping me back is the fact that they don't have much seating space. There's 3 seats by the window and that's it. I'd love to just hang out there with the employees because they're hilarious and the boss because he's a charmer. If you tell him you're a student, he'll give you a student discount! Essentially, what I'm saying is that this place is da-bomb-diggity. Big food, good food and cheap food. I think those are the three qualities anyone looks for when enjoying a meal. read more

I made the mistake of trying this donair place when I was doing some work experience a few blocks down years ago. For the rest of the work experience me and the other guy I was doing work experience with went here for lunch every day. We even went there for dinner some nights it was just that tasty! A wile after finishing my work experience I took my family to try this place out. That was the second mistake. Now my whole family is in love with Donair Affair. For years the Guy running the place knew my family and made sure to ask about the other family members not there at that time. My family still stops in there quite often these days. NOTHING is made in house, but the thing that's driven me to review this place is the fact they sell a wide variety of "Arizonas". You know the fruit punch/lemonade or whatever that have ".99¢" on the can.... If you pay attention they actually charge you $1.50 + deposit of the can and if your paying by interact they charge you another .25¢-.30¢ to use their machine; PLUS tax!!! One Arizona would cost you $2+ dollars a can through debit and or $1.60 cash plus tax. read more

This review is for the new location at 64th and 120th street in Delta. The woman running the front counter suffers from an unprofessional unfriendly attitude and personality deficit. Honestly, going in there is as fun as lining up for the firing squad. 2 men working the kitchen ought to look in a bloody mirror. Dirty track pants and old t-shirts don't exactly inspire confidence in ability to cook and clean. The donairs are not that good. Certainly not prepared properly. The so called Lebanese menu are so off base, it's beyond understanding/hilarious. If you want to be depressed and underwhelmed, be my guest. Visit this place. I suspect they will be folding within 12 months. No-one will tolerate the extreme sub-par service and shoddiness of this place. read more

Best Donairs I have ever tasted! I usually get the regular sized beef and it's pretty darn hefty. When I am extra hungry I get the super beef donair and it more than feeds me for the night. Definitely a big fan and have no hesitation recommending the food. The restaurant itself is a hole in the wall with a few tables, but it's pretty clean and the main service seems to be take out from what I have seen. I don't go there for the ambience, I go there to hunt down a donair, drag it home, and savage it down. If you're close by and hungry, definitely give this place a try. I have heard of this Donair Affair. Oh yes. And I have heard great things. Kyle went before me [which he should not have done] but I guess it was good to hear a review from someone I trust. This place is amazingly delicious. Nestled between Pho Tau Bay [also delicious] and a dry cleaner, it is a very clean restaurant, which I wasn't expecting given the location and age of the building. The meats are rolling on the Donair contraptions [heaters? Juicy meat makers?] and the owner makes your Donair himself. There is a small bar against the window with maybe 5 seats. It's definitely geared for take out. When Kyle came he raved about the Lebanese lamb Donair so we both ended up with that. Chunks of tender, juicy lamb sauced up in humus, tzatziki, hot sauce, cucumber, lettuce, and lord knows what other deliciousness. Now, about an hour after I wasn't feeling too well. I'm not gonna lie. But I don't think I can relate this to Donair Affair. We had it for lunch and I had only had a small smoothie for breakfast, so I feel like it was just too heavy of a meal to have on a midday empty stomach, for me. I WILL BE BACK. Always have a good experience here which makes me me a regular customer, especially since it's close by my house. I always get regular chicken, super chicken (which is the same as regular but more meat) or a combination of chicken and falafel. These are my 3 most favorite dishes although some people may not like the falafel since it is a little on the dry side and microwaved to be warm and soft. What gets me is the sauce. Mmm whatever those two white sauces are make the donair soo delish. On occasion I will ask for a little extra sauce (which is available at an extra cost). Service is always good. They're quick and to the point but also really friendly. They just recently renovated the inside a bit as well so it looks nicer. There isn't much room for dine in but I normally just eat it at the park right beside it or take it home to eat. Unlike the previous review I saw, I've never had an issue with hand washing. They always wash in between food and cash handling. Always. If they don't wash it in front of me it's because one person stays on the till and the other stays on the food counter. We're from Hamilton and really enjoyed getting shwarma there. I guess around here they call it donair and it is a bit different but delicious! This location can be very busy with lineups out the door. Ordering can be intimidating especially when there's a lot of people and it reminded me of the soup Nazi episode from Seinfeld. Service is very rude (especially the young lady working behind the counter) and not abiding by Fraser Health standards. Masks were worn (but not covering noses) and gloves weren't used when handling our food. The chicken and rice platter was okay but underwhelming, and considering the service it would be wiser to spend your money on a Chicken Shawarma platter from Palmyra's off 100 and 152. Will never come back here again due to the lack of customer service (doesn't even say hi when walking in door, just a rude "ORDER HERE") I would not recommend this place to friends and family as well. read more

Best Donair in Surrey! I always get the Hawaiian Lamb for around 7$ and it fills me up everytime. The vegetables are always fresh and they don't cheap out on the sauce. I ate at this location today (Nov. 13th) for lunch and was very disappointed. First off, the man behind the counter was extremely rude to me and was generally snippy. I won't be going back to this location for that alone. Additionally, the food was not very good either. The chicken platter I ordered came with a Greek Salad that was all cucumber and no tomato or olives, and 1 piece of green pepper. The sauce white sauce over my chicken & rice was suspiciously close to a ranch dressing, not a tahini-based sauce. The falafel was dry. The chicken was dry and the rice very plain. I did leave a 10% tip because of the young woman working with the rude guy...she was fine. I will be boycotting this place from now on. Visiting Surrey from Kamloops ........ Checked Yelp for a restaurant close to our hotel and found Donair Affair. It had great reviews and I know why. Was not only great to eat, but a great deal for $10.00 including a drink. I had the lamb and my daughter had the chicken and both were extremely juicy and tender. I wouldn't order the large just the regular.....we both couldn't finish them. Also the employees were friendly and small place was clean. I wish we had Donair Affair in Kamloops! I used to come here for lunch back when I went to school near by. I came back recently to try it and bring back some memories. It was as tasty as I remembered. One thing I guess I never realized was that they don't wear gloves. There was a young guy working and a female working. The girl was on her cell phone and she didn't even wash her hands before making my donair after being on her phone. The guy who was making my donair had super long arm hair which went all the way to his hand. He was making my donair and his arm hair was touching it. I was actually really turned off but, I tried to ignore my feelings and ate it anyway lol I think next time If I ever do go back. I'll ask them to at least wash their hands first or wear gloves if they have it. Call me a germ freak but, it's gross LoL. ( I understand it's not his fault for his long arm hair.
