Great service and amazing tasting food with drinks! Filled with flavor in every bite! I had to personally thank the Chef for his supreme culinary skills.

If I am heading to Bondi... this is one place I love to stop at. Hidden on the main drag you enter through a single door to make your way to the first floor where you can sit inside... OR score a seat on the rooftop where your view stretches up and down the street and to the beach. I love it. It's out of the way being off the street but puts you in a position of being included in the great Bondi scene. The food and service I Really like. Everyone is friendly and I have never been disappointed in what I have ordered. Taste and presentation is always high on my list. I love taking my out of town guests here to enjoy 'Sydney'.

View, radish salad, and red wine!

Went here just after the re-opening after the Covid pandemic. Basically had the place to ourselves minus a table of about six drunk Irishman off to the side. Incredible service. Flavorful food especially the radish salad, croquettes and gnocchi. Would definitely recommend. Pro tip is to request an outdoor table for the view, that is stupendous.

Great location. Amazing view. They're missing a bar you can sit at for hours and stare at the ocean. Layout is weird. Service is exceptional and very friendly. I ordered oysters that listed many accompaniments and they came plain. However they were still good. I would go back. Make a rez if you want one of the good view tables.

When asked by someone on suggestions for a place to bring a date to in Bondi Beach ?Most likely the answer is Icebergs, which of course is absolutely gorgeous and going to impress anyone based on its views and reputation. For someone who wants to think outside the box, I put forward the trendy restaurant and bar Vue Bar as a great option. Vue Bar located on the Southern side of Bondi Beach offers pretty spectacular views over the Beach and the passers by down below on Campbell Parade from its heated bar terrace. This would be an ideal spot to dine for lunch with day time views over the beach or an early dinner to watch the sunset. The Bar has a really cool vibe with the walls on the stairway up lined with graffiti of famous quotes. The staff here are incredibly welcoming and attentive. The food on offer matches the overall quality of service and vibe. We ordered liver pate which was served with beautiful bread and fresh pickles and olives on the side. Beautifully presented and tasted equally as good. The next item we received was the Sea Food Platter. This includes octopus, cod, prawns, calamari, oysters and served with chips. The quality of the sea food is really great. Served fresh and flavoursome and the chips are simply amazing. They are this places secret weapon for sure. The chips are cooked three ways and that's what makes them amazing. Room for dessert was sparse but when Chocolate Mud Cake is on offer space must be create. The Mud Cake is perfect for sharing and comes served on warm chocolate sauce and along side delicious vanilla gelato. This dish was lick your plate good. Overall top experience from start to finish and will almost definitely be returning in the near future.

If it is a beautiful day like it was today, Vue bar is a perfect place to spend it. Yes it's true, Vue is all about the view (I just wrote them a jingle), View is great if your with friends as they have Tapas, which really suits as you can order a few dishes to share and enjoy the view with a cocktail. Tapas can get kind of expensive, handily the Vue Bar also serves wood fire pizza, so a couple of those with a few tapas dishes works quite well to keep the dollars under control, then you just need to keep an eye on the cocktail count. If you really want to relax and show off Bondi, Vue is the way to do it in style.

What a VUE! Yes this tapas/cocktail spot trades on a pretty blatant pun, but the view absolutely lives up to it. Sublime would be an appropriate way to describe it. Tapas is often a deceptively expensive dinner option, and Vue doesn't buck the trend. But then again, just take another look at *that* view! That's experiential dining. Try the arancini balls, the garlic prawns and sea scallops. Oh and leave room for some pizzas - the toppings are all deliciously fresh and help the cocktails go down oh so well.

This cool bar/ restaurant is a hidden gem of Bondi Beach! It's located on a sheltered rooftop showing breathtakingly beautiful views of Bondi beach. During winter they provide heaters to keep you warm so definitely try this place out all times of year. They provide good quality food. I ordered the seafood platter, beetroot and pear salad for main and chocolate mud cake for dessert! All very tasty and fresh. I'd recommend this place for a cosy, relaxed lunch or dinner !

Surprisingly quaint balcony bar and tapas restaurant, you enter a doorway out from the street and are welcomed up the stairs with cool music, quirky quotes written on the walls and a shabby chic vibe. The food is top notch, great size portions and the view can only improve the taste.. even on an overcast day. Best tasting paella I've had and I've been to Barcelona twice, but maybe the chili hit in this one isn't in the original recipe, either way it works for me. Crispy chips and well dressed salad with cold wine. Happy happy happy.

"It's the best bar in Bondi!" they claimed, "It's a proper bar." We weren't enjoying ourselves at Ravesis so I gave in and followed them down to the end of Glenayr Avenue where the fun runs out - the end that there's no point going to unless there's sports on at the Beach Road Hotel. Outside this dull grey newly-built building there were groups of people sat and talking, and inside there were tunes pumping, cold beer and eclectic furniture crowded with beautiful people. I realised I would have to raise my game and wiped the sooky grimace off my face and we ordered a few beers at the bar. The beers were cold and we gathered some mis-matched chairs into a corner and ended up lost in conversation, only momentarily distracted when super-hot six-foot blondes walked up to the bar. And this is the good thing about Bad Mama, it's not the super-hot six-foot blondes, or the great food. It's the fact that you forget you're there - you're enveloped by the bar, not left perched in the middle of some massive empty bar which is so typical of the Bondi bar scene. On the face of it you know that this is a brand new constructed space, but when you're inside you're sucked in by the interior design and the lighting such that you forget and you could be in a bar in Hoxton Square or Hackney. Five stars - I'll be back!

My friends and I got here after we had left our luggage at our rental. And sat here what it seems like a week. We sat down and had a bite to eat. The fish and chips. They are amazing. We found this beer called Summer. And it was $25 Aussie for a bucket. Not bad. We hung out for about an hour. Then we decided to hit the water. So we decided to ask where we could get sunblock. And they brought over Carla. She was our savior. The sun is very hot here. We hit the water and came back after a little sun cooking. We stepped up our buckets. We stayed there until we left. On Monday Feb. 12,2018 we were there just enjoying a bite and a couple beers. We weren't going to stay long. It wasn't too busy. Which was nice after the weekend. Then all of a sudden. It's not like we watch Aussie tv everyday. Ok we did while on vacation. But still. How are we to spot tv actors and movie star actors. Then they sent out their ladies to sell raffle tickets. It was Bianca Zouppas. And another great looking actress. Sorry didn't get her name. But if you know who she is. Go ahead and let us know. Anyways. How could we say no to them. We weren't going to. It's a good cause. But they did get us to buy more tickets. We also got into the fun of the auction. I ended up winning a bat. For only $300. And after mingling with everyone. It was a great night. This place gave up their inside area for an event that raised some good money. This place has a staff that is not only great looking. But have the best attitude I've been to in years. Probably the best in all the world. Guys and girls. Both treated us with great respect and were always professionals. Staff was fun and always helpful. If you ever visit Bondi Beach. Stop by and try their Mojitos and their food. And the people watching is very good also. So Mates don't wait. Or you might have to stand in line in the sun.

There is no shortage of places to check out across the main street but I wanted to grab some grub at a joint off the hustle and bustle of the main street as I tend to uncover good food with less crowding. I went down Gould and after a bit of twist and turns I stumbled upon Neighbourhood as they were beginning to open up for lunch. The joint itself has some seating outside and then a bar the moment you walk in with some high tops on the left side. They also have more tables in the back of the restaurant but I wanted to catch all the action and people watch so chose a table near the front with a view of the windows. The bartenders and waitress were super friendly here and they struck up lively conversation as I perused the menu. This joint offers up a standard menu with a bunch of entrees and appetizers but also seems to offer a bbq type menu in the back which seems to be limited supply. I was not looking to get stuffed completely but instead wanted some bites so focused my attention on the entrees and appetizers. The menu here has a Louisiana or dirty south feel to it which was a welcome sight for me cos who can hate on a delicious piece of fried chicken. I started by perusing the drinks menu and my attention was caught by the "Hood's Zombie" because it said strictly one per customer next to it. I mean who can turn down a drink that is limited to one per person. The drink is packed with a lot of adult goodness including absinthe and I thought was delicious. It's a shame because I really wanted a second one.. but I digress. For the grub, we decided to have an order of the fried chicken and the tater tots with cheese and jalapeno. Clearly going for the healthy lunch. The tots were out and they were nice and crisp with the bacon being a delicious protein on top. I wish they had put more jalapenos but the ones I was able to snag were a delicious plus on the tots. The chicken was next and it was tender and juicy with the skin being fried to a nice light crisp. The aioli sauce they provide is a nice accompaniment to the chicken and provides flavor complexity. All in all, this is a great spot and I can see it be hopping at night with their drink menus, friendly service, and upscale bar food. Definitely a positive in my book and worth recommending to those in the Bondi area.

Just be prepared for the noise and music. Apparently, there a Sunday roast ($30.00 AUD) that sounds promising. FYI: there's a 10% service charge on Sundays and holidays. Staff were friendly and continuously brought out water jugs. - Mac 'n' cini ($12.00 AUD for 5) - came with a side of blue cheese sauce. Actually, not too heavy, lightly fried but I wouldn't want to eat this if it was just me. - Marinated eggplant san choy bau ($12.00 AUD for 3) - gem lettuce cups, mixed herbs, house pickles, Sriracha mayo and crispy shallots. This was a better small plate. A tasty vegetarian spin on lettuce wraps. - Black angus rump steak ($15.00 AUD for 250g) - I added a glass of red ($5.00 AUD) as this was their Wednesday special. Pretty good deal in my books! Came with a small piece of roasted corn and potato fries. A bit weird that they didn't ask how I wanted my steak cooked but it all worked out. A tender, just before well done steak with an addictive jus sauce. - Alabama slammer ($14.00 AUD) - southern fried chicken with burger cheese, bourbon BBQ sauce, blue cheese mayo and slaw. I had a bite and the sauce is on the sweet side. Decent but not the biggest burger. Doesn't come with any sides either. ABSOLUTELY NOT. Do…read morenot go here. The food is not fresh, frozen and probably not safe to eat. To start any place with the manic misogynistic decorations should be an immediate red flag. Unicycle, posters about nagging wife, tanks from a motor cycle other random assorted junk and posters with no cohesive theme or vision. It screams lazy owner/operator who needed to decorate it so they went to a garage sale or a 2nd hand junk store and slapped trash on the wall to call it good enough. All of this would be excusable IF the food was good. Which I was not. They were strangely overstaffed but they looked irritated to see us walk in. The food looks nothing like the pictures. We had the civiche, the grilled scallops and the garlic prawns. The civiche was prepared improperly and we were scared to eat it. There was ZERO citrus so immediately we knew not a civiche. It was thin long sashimi slices of fish served with the slightest few drops of what I would say as a watery cilantro liquid, a chimichuri ordered from wish or Temu if you will. The fish smelled a little but we chalked it up to clearly being frozen. We ate it and the best I can say is we didn't get sick. The prawns were clearly frozen from a bag psychotically over cooked with the consistency of a old leather shoe. They tasted of nothing but were....edible. The problem and when we gave up and left was the grilled scallops. The first plate of scallops they brought us didn't look right upon inspection they were completely raw and uncooked never touched a grill or hot surface, stone cold. When we brought this to the servers attention he was clearly pretty upset with us for complaining. He took away the plate of raw and later brought back another plate of scallops which did have color from cooking but the smell of it was clear these previously frozen scallops had turned and they had turned a while ago. When we cut into them they were stringy and mushy as if they had started to rot. We each tried a bite and immediately had to spit it out as the fish was clearly bad to the point it left a singing bitter fishy foul flavor on the pallet. We asked for the check and to have the scallops removed from the bill. The server refused to remove the scallops because they prepared it twice for us AS IF THAT WASNT THEIR MISTAKE. We explained they tasted foul and clearly expired at best. He pointed to another table insisting we couldn't be correct because that couple ate the same scallops (Thoughts and prays to thar couple) as if that meant anything. We had a brief discussion where we explained we were from a beach town had eaten scallops our whole lives and knew what they should look, feel and taste like and he stated he wasn't the owner and they made us two plates and he was doing us a favor by not double charging us for them. I think he could see how upset we were and by that point we had attracted the attention of some other patrons. He discounted us $10 but that was only 1/2 the cost of the scallops.

That and the ocean breeze blew in and out so freely you'd think you were on Campbell Parade (minus the crowds). I ordered a glass of their first listed Pinot Noir, Six Foot Six. The menu described the wine as "light and a little fruity." I won't beg to differ. It was drinkable to the point of slurpable and went down effortlessly for a red on a warm afternoon. I ordered a dish of mixed olives to accompany which was a good choice. As the late afternoon grew later, the place filled up a bit, but the energy stayed easy and carefree. The waitress might have played a part in this as well. She breezed around with great comfort, occasionally sitting with the guests and making informed wine recommendations. Speakeasy is definitely my kind of place. And I'm so glad it's in Bondi Beach because I needed my narrow-minded perspective to be expanded. And I can now speak easy, because expanded it has been.

It's almost hidden which is why I like it. The interiors are dark and if there was one word to describe it, it would be '"cosy". They have a wonderful wine collection and yummy foods to share. Small dishes include Roast beetroot and yoghurt dip w bread $7.5 and Zucchini, w feta + mint $9.50. Larger tapas range in price from $12 - $20. I'd recommend their house cured salmon and grilled halloumi...the dishes are slighly small, so I suggest ordering a little bit more.... What is also another fabulous discovery about SpeakEasy are their breakfasts. I went there with a friend and he couldn't stop thanking me for the introduction. We both ordered the Barcelona eggs - shallow baked w house cured salmon, roast potato, ricotta, capers, sp. onion, spinach + Toast $15. A great place to go with friend.
