    Once Upon A Craving L.

Mojos Tapas Bar located on Campbell Pde across the iconic Bondi beach is the perfect spot to indulge in a range of Spanish tapas, breakfast or lunch along with a pitcher of sangria or two. Food here not only looks vibrant and aesthetically pleasing, it tastes absolutely devine. I was transported to Spain with the classic, rich flavours on offer, from corn, tomato to soft baja fish tacos. . So what's on the table?! Tropicana chia bowl Shakshuka Zucchini & corn fritters Tempura prawn tacos Tofu tacos Soft shell crab charcoal burger Smashed avacado on multigrain Mojo's bowl with smoked salmon Mushroom bruschetta New menu items: Tempura soft shell crab soba noodles Grilled salmon and corn sauce Crispy pork belly with corn Grilled salmon soba noodles

I really like this Tapas Bar.... and whenever i go it's always full. Situated on the south of Bondi Beach, slightly up the hill, you could very easily walk past the restaurant and not see it. It is slightly hidden as the front of the cafe almost blends in with the rest of the Bondi scenery. That said, once you walk inside - you'll be suprised to find a noisy bustling restaurant. The food is tapas - so it's good to go with friends and order a few dishes. I always find tapas to be a bit deceiving because you end up spending more money more likely than if you ordered one main dish somewhere else...but that said, you get taste variety - which is always a good thing. The food sizes are small...so you will need to order quite a bit of food. The dishes are delicious and full of flavour - so on the taste stakes, you'll be quite happy. I really like the Tapenade Bread Plate served with dips Tamara, olive tapenade and red capsicum ($9.00) and Crumbed Green Olives stuffed with ricotta served with pita bread ($12.00).... Warning to vegetarians.... there aren't too many options... A fun place to go with friends on a Saturday night. It gets busy - so make sure you book.

Came here for happy hour and was impressed with the cocktails and tapas plates. Had the octopus, which had a nice tangy sauce with it. Also the lychee martini was very tasty and refreshing. Servers were attentive and friendly, providing solid recommendations for food options and cocktails. Good selection of Spanish wines as well. Happy hour pricing is a great value. Food and drinks flow kinda slow, so try to order in one shot if you can and make sure you have some time to enjoy the experience.

The atmosphere is awesome. Service is so so. Food more of the same. They are located right across from Bondi, premium location. It's one of the first places you see/pass after coming from the Coastal Walk. I stopped in and was ignored for about 10 minutes before the young lady asked me if I needed anything; um yes. I would like to eat. I was seated, and waited a subsequent 10 minutes to have my order taken. Good grief. At this point I'm ready to leave, but I'm so hungry I could faint. Finally, the young lady comes back and takes my order (put the whole thing in- appetizer to entree, drinks and dessert). Fortunately it came out really quickly. I had chips and guac to start, and the guac was solid. I ordered the jerk chicken with coconut rice as an entree. I tasted no coconut whatsoever, this was plain sticky rice. Fine, but call it that. The jerk chicken is not jerk at all. It was flavorful and had been marinated pretty good but it was NOT jerk flavor. I finished it off with the white chocolate cheesecake, not very sweet but still very good, and flooded in fresh strawberries. I had a half sangria and it was a win, perhaps the best sangria I've had to date. All in all, the place is pricey and the wait is long whether its busy or not, but I left satiated.

Working 9-8 what a way to make a living it's all taking and no eating, so come 8 you just need to nom nom nom all the way to the kitchen. Tapas time anybody ! Bring on Mojo Cafe and Tapas bar. Beautifully located with Bondi Beach views only problem is you can't see it on a wet and miserable Bondi night but I can hardly blame them for that. Walking inside the decor instantly stands out and transforms you to a South American oasis. The place was very homely and inviting. Tapas are small dishes so instantly I think it means your likely to over order but oh well right! Get to sample everything. Began with the Remolacha salad which didn't look amazing but was surprisingly good. It contained beetroot, roasted sunflower seeds and watercress. Sunflower seeds won me over on this one. Tapas we chose were Garlic Prawns ( delicious ), Chilli potatoes ( yum yum yum ), Garlic meatballs ( most filling and scrumptious ) , salt and pepper Squid ( a must have when dining near the beach ) , grilled Artichoke ( my fav and surprise choice if you want something different ) and the mushroom tapas ( flavour was a bit bland unsure of the sauce it was infused in even ). Overall very happy with all the tapas besides the mushrooms which were only ok. To was all this down the drink of choice was Sangria. Who doesn't love wine combined with fruit. Like there wasn't enough to eat we decided we needed Chocolate empanadas. Very very good choice. When it tastes that good you can have no feelings of guilt. Beautifully presented and still warm when you cracked it open. Accompanied by Strawberry jam and cream dip to combine it with. Delicious. Staff were exceptionally friendly and would go back here again definitely :)

    Empanadas con negro

The food here was fantastic. We sat at the table outside on the sidewalk on a quiet night and had a great experience. We ordered a liter of sangria for $22 which was well worth it. For meals we ordered the queso frito and atun cortezudo (tuna steak). Both were fantastic and I would order again. For dessert we decided to get the empanadas con negro which were warm and delicious. The portions were good for the price especially considering it's location and other prices in the area. The service was great. They checked on us and made sure we had everything we needed. The Spanish music also set a nice ambiance.

Amazing affordable food just across the street from Bondi Beach. Our server was friendly and very hospitable. I ordered the lunch special Garlic Prawns and Rice with an order of the Empanada tapas. I enjoyed them both with a glass of their sangria. My friend loved his order of jerk chicken and the guacamole as well. Next time I'd like to come back for their happy hour which seems like a great deal. Highly recommend this place if your in Bondi.

Love this photo over the kitchen area!

As a kid all I would eat was plain pasta with butter, salt and cheese, so don't even start me on bread! I keep walking past Sonoma and perving on the amazing sourdoughs in the window. The bakery isn't on-site so there is no bakery smell, this is purely visual food porn. When I discovered that they serve baked beans I could resist no longer and decided to have some Sonoma baked beans and sourdough for breakfast, drooling at the thought... and they'd run out! Doh. They sell them til they run out at around 10 or 11am so next time I'll go earlier. Meanwhile I did munch into a toasted sandwich with eggplant & mozarrella, and verily, it was the greatest toasted sandwich I've ever eaten. I didn't even put cracked pepper on it, that's how good it was! The coffee was great, it's in the back lane of Gould St so no beach view but a beach view would just take your concentration away from your tastebuds anyway so that's probably a good thing. 100% yum.
