Attitudes restaurant on the 34th floor offers and delivers the most spectacular view of Sydney Harbor. We were greeted warmly and shown to our table, reservations recommended. This restaurant does not disappoint. Spring Menu has a selection to please all. We had starters of Waghu beef and tender sliced duck. Crusty artisan bread with butter on the side was tender, withs truly delicious crust and not one crumb was left! Our mains were the Free Range Chicken, the Striploin and their Lamb. All dishes were expertly prepared and cooked, each dish when sense was a delight to behold. Service was excellent and attentive, Dylan was careful to make sure our lunch was the best experience. They also serve a lovely High Tea adjacent and if I had the chance, I would have to come back to enjoy this. If you want to see Sydney Harbor at its best and experience fine dining at that same time, I highly recommend the Altitude restaurant, atop the Shangri-La Hotel.

Absolutely horrendous. I can't believe we paid $300 for a 2 course "meal". Probably had 100 calories total. Took 2 hours after ordering to get our food, forgot our drink order multiple times. We went to the bathroom to order Uber eats during the meal. Save your money, view wasn't worth it. The Brussels sprouts consisted of one artichoke and one brussel sprout cut into 4 pieces drizzled with what tasted like off brand maple syrup. The kangaroo was the thinnest slice of meat I've ever seen. Steak was sous vie and had no sear Reef fish was a toddler sized portion, mostly skin with very little meat.

Great restaurant on the 36th floor of the Shangri-La Hotel. Beautiful views of Sydney harbor. Make sure that you get reservations for your dinner to get a window seat. It is a high end restaurant with white tablecloths and exceptional service. My wife is a diabetic and doesn't drink so I decided on a single glass of wine. The Sommelier came around to discuss the Pinot noir I selected and asked if she could have the bar make my wife a sugar free mock tail. It was very good but an example of the personalized service you get. We did the three course dinner ($135 AUD each) portions are not large but we were fully satisfied with the dinner. Everything was delicious and presented beautifully. I would plan on business casual dress. It was an expensive meal but worth it on a bucket list trip. I am reducing this by one star as they had no bourbons on their drink list. Lots of single malt scotches but no bourbons.

Great place for a drink and beautiful views! Definitely worth a visit if you are in Sydney

My wife and I are staying in the Sydney Shangri-La and this is where we had breakfast. It was so nice to wake up to this! The staff are friendly and polite and very helpful and the food was generally very good (but some of it could be improved a little). All up it's a great experience and highly (pun intended) recommended.

Be sure to make a reservation in advance. The dining room is beautiful and the view is amazing. Keep in mind what you are paying for. The wait staff is professional and kind. The tasting menu Is two or three courses. Presentation is above average. Quality of ingredients is above average. Overall flavor was average. Wine list was decent. This is a good date night... once. If you are staying in the hotel and are happy enough with your rooms view then visit in the Blu Bar next door on the 36th floor and call it good.

This place is quite special and VERY expensive. We partook of the degustation called EPI-CURIOUS with matching wines and were very impressed. We had each course explained to us along with each glass of wine. Apart from the food and wine was the view; ask for a table near the window. If you are not near the window then you will still be able to see the view from your table via huge mirrors in the ceiling. Another tip is to have dinner early, around 6pm as when it is dark around 8pm you miss out on seeing the frenzy at the quay. You have excellent views of the bridge, the quay, pinchgut and all the way to north head as the restaurant is on 36th floor. It is not perfect. Once the sun goes down there is not much light to see your dinner. Coffee was nice (and cost an arm and a leg) but my macchiato was served in a teacup. The waiter made much of giving us six little sweets as a thank you for coming to the restaurant, making out it was a gift...really. They also charge a percentage on top of the bill if you pay by credit card. As the bill is quite large at this place that 1.5% is significant. We were given this experience as a gift then added the wine and coffee. It is an excellent gift.

We booked over 6 months ago for a special dinner to celebrate my birthday. Each time it is someone's celebration, we go to a fine dining restaurant. That said we have a lot of experience in fine dining restaurants and as such can make a genuine review. The whole experience could be described as "bizarre", "a comedy of errors", "a monty python episode" or a wedding where we weren't invited guests. An impressive Kardashian-esque wedding on a grand scale was booked next door in the normally public cocktail bar. We weren't aware of a wedding being booked in the Blu Bar (if so, we wouldn't have booked to dine on the same nigh). It was like dining in a club, whilst eating your food, the music and drums were pumping from next door. Instead of a fine dining ambience, we got "In da club", "let's get married" by Jagged edge. My brother was literally dancing at the table. It was clear the staff had an unfortunate situation on their hands and were so apologetic, offering everyone free "champagne" (which was actually Tasmanian "sparkling" and not from the champagne region of France). Staff were clearly aware the situation was not ideal. The event next door impacted a lot on the night. I wanted to order a cocktail, but was informed I couldn't because the bar was serving wedding guests. Surely, the paid guests at a hatted restaurant would be able to be served a drink of choice. Later, I saw other guests getting cocktails, so there were inconsistences with the message. Service was inconsistent, at the initial arrival and after ordering, my mum sat with all the menus on her table for about 20 minutes. Half of the table of water cups were filled up and we had to ask for the others to be done. Bread and butter knives were not removed until dessert time.  A four course meal for $135 plus drink costs took 4 hours and between each meal, there was significant wait time, leaving us annoyed and hungry. At no time throughout this wait were we offered a drink. We actually did want one, but couldn't get staff attention. The amuse bouche was a little strange (pea pannacotta and scallop) and paved the way for the evening and the food was good, though just didn't appear the high quality standard one would expect. I feel sorry for the staff, because they were very nice but either quite 'untrained' or 'frazzled' by the experience. I think this is more of a matter for the Shangri-La, rather than the wait staff on the night. There's not a lot the chef or staff could do, they did the best they could in a situation they shouldn't have had to deal with in the first place. Certainly we understand booking weddings is important, but the logistics coordination was poor. They should have booked the whole venue for the wedding not had the restaurant open. If this was a pub, it would be a different story. However, this is a fine dining restaurant which we paid a lot of money to go to and unfortunately that's not acceptable as the wedding significantly impacted the diners. We hope the Shangri la believes in continuous improvement and this will be constructive feedback to apply in the future. The number given for this review is for the AMAZING view of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House and the beef dish.

Went here for our wedding anniversary. I have to say, this was the best fine dining experience I have had. I had the swordfish and my husband had the lamb and both were delightful. The staff were very attentive, friendly and helpful; and made our dinning experience enjoyable. The view was picturesque and the room was not too busy. There was a great ambience to be enjoyed with our food. Would definitely recommend to friends and return again some time :)

The view is exceptional. The wine also, but I didn't leave completely satisfied. The clam left me underwhelmed and the tuna had no kick to it. The pork was delicious as well as the beef. Maybe I am just a fussy dessert eater, but when I read caramel pudding i think warm gooey caramel, not a cold slice of a "pudding". It left me wanting more. I'm never a fan of a $7 coffee, no matter how good the view.

Our hotel's concierge suggested we look into breakfast eateries or a bakery at nearby Barangaroo wharf and pointed us two blocks down on Sussex Street, where we stumbled upon Wild Sage. Walking up to their patio dining area, we were greeted by a friendly young man who offered us a choice between patio and indoor seating and provided menus. We chose to dine outdoors to enjoy the beautiful sunny weather and cool yet comfortable temperature. After being seated, the young man, brought us glasses of chilled water while we waited for the server to take our morning beverage and breakfast orders. Our cheery server, Marissa, came by shortly after delivering another table's order and we were ready to order right away. FOOD & BEVERAGE: -Sticky Chai Tea: I requested the chai tea as its blend of natural spices with soy milk appealed to me on this slightly chilly morning. As I poured the steamy steeping hot chai tea through the strainer into the glass, its full aromas wafted towards me as I "aerated" or pulled the tea. $8.50 AUD -Proscuitto Toastie: Triple cheese (Gruyere, mozzarella, & scamorza), sliced proscuitto, truffle bechamel, & pickles on soy linseedsourdough. Although we're slightly lactose-intolerant, my husband decided to order this "upscale" ham and cheese sandwich. It was so rich in flavors and textures that he could only eat half the portion even though he was tempted to finish both sandwich halves. Notably, the toasted sourdough's crisp, crunchy, exterior and warm chewy interior tasted of caramelization and nuttiness. Its tangy sourness offered a savory balance to the creamy, slightly nutty and sweet scamorza and mozzarella cheeses. The creamy cheeses balanced the savory saltiness from the proscuitto and Gruyere. $24 AUD -Truffle Mushroom Toast: I selected this open faced toasted sourdough sandwich which was generously topped with roasted mixed mushrooms, confit garlic and truffle butter, thyme, goat cheese, crispy leeks, and poached eggs. The roasted mixed mushrooms flavors were enhanced "just right" with the truffle butter without being overpowered. This vegetarian sandwich was protein-packed, filling, and very flavorful. $26 AUD We took our time over breakfast while discussing our Sydney exploration plans at this clean, bright, and friendly cafe. It's too bad we didn't have more time in Sydney to return for more but, isn't that the dilemma while traveling? "Too many restaurants, too little time."
