    Squash and kale tart
    Karen C.

I was touring MCA and decided to have lunch at their cafe. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. They have an inside outside concept with tables in both areas. It was nice Spring day so I sat outside. The cafe has a nice view of Sydney Harbor. There was a huge cruise ship in port that day so it was fun to watch that. I had a squash and kale tart with a nice side salad of rocket/arugula. The tart had a nice flavor and was not too eggy. You could taste the squash and kale. Salad was light and refreshing. A nice little spot for lunch in between sightseeing.

Simply amazing, our team booked Graze for our Xmas lunch, I was impressed from the first step into the amazing venue. The view is stunning, we had a perfect summers day, the service was impeccable and the food mouthwatering. I could not believe they offered two and three-course specials with a glass of bubbles as most places charge more for xmas bookings. The Zucchini fritters were out of this world and the pumpkin gnocchi blew me away. Overall, I will be back, make sure you book and it is a not to be missed venue. Love love love.....is my rating.

    Moreton bay bugs and prawns

Excellent modern Australian food witha gorgeous view. What a way to ring-in the weekend; a bottle of wine and a couple of small share plates for lunch, enjoying the views of the Opera House and Sydney harbour. We ordered too much for two for lunch, next time teo small share plates with the salad and possibly the yummie shoestring fries would be enough. Portions are generous! We didn't book, Although if you would like a table on the front that really is required! We had only small sparing plates: Moreton bay bugs, the calamari and the Tuna poke. All very fresh and perfect! The green salad was a nice side and i am still working on the fries as I write this. Not cheap, about $25 to $30 a dish. But Hey, being visitors we can splurge!

Came in on a sunny Saturday at around 12:15 right when they openned up for lunch. My girlfriend and I orderred the Za' Atar Crusted Persian Marinated Grilled Spatchcock, Orecchiette Pasta, Zucchini Ribbons, Spring Peas & Tendrils, with a slow cooked pulled duck leg and rice cracker as the starter.... holy cow they were so good. Nothing like the presentation they provided of the plating, the food was very prepared perfectly and the food was great. Honestly I had no idea what we were ordering... so we got lucky for sure. The outside seating was great, and you can see both the bridge and Opera theater if there aren't any boats around. Perfect last meal for our trip to Australia... thank you! PS i would say it seems expensive... but totally worth it because we were stuffed! Even had left over for the plane. Ate lunch outside on a warm rainy afternoon safely under umbrellas. Salad, fish, desert all wonderful. Enjoyed people watching and the random ibis pecking at the earth across the way as well as a parrot peeking over the umbrella!

Everything was fresh, well presented and full of flavour. The coffee was excellent and paired perfectly with breakfast. The location is also hard to beat, making it the perfect place to relax before or after walking around the historic area. Great food, great service and a lovely atmosphere. Inside wasn't bad, the table was big and the chairs comfortable. We were waited on immediately. Servers fly around like dancers, it's actually pretty impressive. Our food arrived in no time. My wife had fish and chips and I had lamb and rosemary pie. She enjoyed her meal. Mine was different than I've had before. It was still ok but I wouldn't order it again. Others would probably like it, it just wasn't for me. We didn't have any dessert but as you walk in the door they have some wonderful looking pies and cakes. Do yourself a favor and save room for one of those. I messed up and didn't try something. This is actually a really cool restaurant that I would like to try again. I wouldn't let one dish that didn't hit my taste buds keep me away.

On the third morning of our stay, we were looking for an early-open breakfast eatery or coffee shop…read morebecause we wanted breakfast but not to stuff ourselves before our late lunch at the Sydney Opera House's Bennelong restaurant. Our hotel's concierge suggested we look into breakfast eateries or a bakery at nearby Barangaroo wharf and pointed us two blocks down on Sussex Street, where we stumbled upon Wild Sage. Walking up to their patio dining area, we were greeted by a friendly young man who offered us a choice between patio and indoor seating and provided menus. We chose to dine outdoors to enjoy the beautiful sunny weather and cool yet comfortable temperature. After being seated, the young man, brought us glasses of chilled water while we waited for the server to take our morning beverage and breakfast orders. Our cheery server, Marissa, came by shortly after delivering another table's order and we were ready to order right away. FOOD & BEVERAGE: -Sticky Chai Tea: I requested the chai tea as its blend of natural spices with soy milk appealed to me on this slightly chilly morning. As I poured the steamy steeping hot chai tea through the strainer into the glass, its full aromas wafted towards me as I "aerated" or pulled the tea. $8.50 AUD -Proscuitto Toastie: Triple cheese (Gruyere, mozzarella, & scamorza), sliced proscuitto, truffle bechamel, & pickles on soy linseedsourdough. Although we're slightly lactose-intolerant, my husband decided to order this "upscale" ham and cheese sandwich. It was so rich in flavors and textures that he could only eat half the portion even though he was tempted to finish both sandwich halves. Notably, the toasted sourdough's crisp, crunchy, exterior and warm chewy interior tasted of caramelization and nuttiness. Its tangy sourness offered a savory balance to the creamy, slightly nutty and sweet scamorza and mozzarella cheeses. The creamy cheeses balanced the savory saltiness from the proscuitto and Gruyere. $24 AUD -Truffle Mushroom Toast: I selected this open faced toasted sourdough sandwich which was generously topped with roasted mixed mushrooms, confit garlic and truffle butter, thyme, goat cheese, crispy leeks, and poached eggs. The roasted mixed mushrooms flavors were enhanced "just right" with the truffle butter without being overpowered. This vegetarian sandwich was protein-packed, filling, and very flavorful. $26 AUD We took our time over breakfast while discussing our Sydney exploration plans at this clean, bright, and friendly cafe. It's too bad we didn't have more time in Sydney to return for more but, isn't that the dilemma while traveling? "Too many restaurants, too little time."

This was the most highly rated restaurant in Surry Hills, and it exceeded all expectations. I cannot say enough great things about the duck slow cooked in plum sauce. It was perfectly seasoned with a bright, sweet plum glaze-- the meat was so tender that it fell off the bone. This was hands down the most delicious duck dish I have ever eaten. We enjoyed a handful of their appetizers (oyster shooters, mini pancakes with crème fresh, etc), all of which were incredible. Very grateful to our waiter for being so helpful with menu suggestions and accommodating one of the guests with a more complicated food palette. The ambience inside was intimate with low warm lightly. The music was classy and not too loud. Such a beautiful and memorable space.

I came in late afternoon on a Friday, was met by the host, and managed to score a table, even though I knew it was going to be busy. I was given water and a menu, ordered a cold beer, and looked over the menu. I came here for one thing- LOBSTER- and they had it! I ordered a medium lobster, as well as the Tasman Sea Octopus starter. My cold James Boags beer arrived, with a hot roll and butter. Followed by a plate of some of the best grilled octopus that I have ever had- tender, tasty, with a nice sauce. Then, the main event- a huge lobster, with all the delectable meat removed, cut up and placed back in the shell- so tender and so delicious, especially with the Shallot Butter! It came with chips and a salad, both perfect side dishes. I ate my lobster slowly, to enjoy every tasty morsel. I had a nice glass of Sauvignon Blanc with it as well. Instead of dessert, I had a cheese plate. This place is great- I cannot recommend it enough. Both service and food are on point. I will come here every time I return to Sydney.
