Great location overlooking Darling Harbour. A short walk across the bridge from my office, it's a nice respite with its hunting lodge decor. Good value lunch quick bites with main and a glass of wine for $22 makes this place quite popular

I fell in love with this restaurant. The design and décor was great! I wish they had this place in America! I got the Salmon with the jacket potatoes and it was sooo good! The service was great as well! There was so much on the menu it was really hard to decide. The portions are great as well. If you are a meat lover I would for sure recommend this place to you! I also loved their side of mushrooms! I also had their calamari that was very good as well! I felt super satisfied when I left. I want to come back to this place if I visit Sydney again!!

Yay! I'm the first to review! Opened Dec 10th, 2015. Food is excellent. We ordered chilly corn, cos salad, salmon, and their specialty for 4. The pork belly with chilly was mild and excellent! Everything was done to perfection. And the service was top notch! That's to be expected as most of the waiters are Americans. After all, TIPS = To Insure Prompt Service. And they seem to understand that philosophy. All and all, excellent experience. Will come back for sure.

First of all. The staff here are amazing! We had the most fun and sweet waiter and he made our night. The atmosphere was really nice. We picked an evening with great weather and enjoyed sitting outside sipping cocktails and perusing the menu. (FYI the chieftain cocktail is delicious). The food is so good. The menu seems like it was designed to share, we had a few dishes between us and we were very happy with everything. (Grilled flat iron steak with garlic butter and the salmon were well received) We kept room for dessert and I have to say the golden syrup dumplings were sensational (though they don't need to be drowned in all the cream that's served on the side). I definitely recommend this place especially if you're having a group dinner.

Inside wasn't bad, the table was big and the chairs comfortable. We were waited on immediately. Servers fly around like dancers, it's actually pretty impressive. Our food arrived in no time. My wife had fish and chips and I had lamb and rosemary pie. She enjoyed her meal. Mine was different than I've had before. It was still ok but I wouldn't order it again. Others would probably like it, it just wasn't for me. We didn't have any dessert but as you walk in the door they have some wonderful looking pies and cakes. Do yourself a favor and save room for one of those. I messed up and didn't try something. This is actually a really cool restaurant that I would like to try again. I wouldn't let one dish that didn't hit my taste buds keep me away.

On the third morning of our stay, we were looking for an early-open breakfast eatery or coffee shop…read morebecause we wanted breakfast but not to stuff ourselves before our late lunch at the Sydney Opera House's Bennelong restaurant. Our hotel's concierge suggested we look into breakfast eateries or a bakery at nearby Barangaroo wharf and pointed us two blocks down on Sussex Street, where we stumbled upon Wild Sage. Walking up to their patio dining area, we were greeted by a friendly young man who offered us a choice between patio and indoor seating and provided menus. We chose to dine outdoors to enjoy the beautiful sunny weather and cool yet comfortable temperature. After being seated, the young man, brought us glasses of chilled water while we waited for the server to take our morning beverage and breakfast orders. Our cheery server, Marissa, came by shortly after delivering another table's order and we were ready to order right away. FOOD & BEVERAGE: -Sticky Chai Tea: I requested the chai tea as its blend of natural spices with soy milk appealed to me on this slightly chilly morning. As I poured the steamy steeping hot chai tea through the strainer into the glass, its full aromas wafted towards me as I "aerated" or pulled the tea. $8.50 AUD -Proscuitto Toastie: Triple cheese (Gruyere, mozzarella, & scamorza), sliced proscuitto, truffle bechamel, & pickles on soy linseedsourdough. Although we're slightly lactose-intolerant, my husband decided to order this "upscale" ham and cheese sandwich. It was so rich in flavors and textures that he could only eat half the portion even though he was tempted to finish both sandwich halves. Notably, the toasted sourdough's crisp, crunchy, exterior and warm chewy interior tasted of caramelization and nuttiness. Its tangy sourness offered a savory balance to the creamy, slightly nutty and sweet scamorza and mozzarella cheeses. The creamy cheeses balanced the savory saltiness from the proscuitto and Gruyere. $24 AUD -Truffle Mushroom Toast: I selected this open faced toasted sourdough sandwich which was generously topped with roasted mixed mushrooms, confit garlic and truffle butter, thyme, goat cheese, crispy leeks, and poached eggs. The roasted mixed mushrooms flavors were enhanced "just right" with the truffle butter without being overpowered. This vegetarian sandwich was protein-packed, filling, and very flavorful. $26 AUD We took our time over breakfast while discussing our Sydney exploration plans at this clean, bright, and friendly cafe. It's too bad we didn't have more time in Sydney to return for more but, isn't that the dilemma while traveling? "Too many restaurants, too little time."

The location was so off the typical path that if I didn't know about this restaurant, I would never have walked by and decided to stop by. The decor was classically Chinese and modern at the same time. On the traditional side, they had roasted ducks hanging off a rack, yet the interior was so beautifully and tastefully decorated that it didn't feel tacky or old-fashioned in an offensive way. The food was spot on. We ordered the following: 1. Kang-pao chicken 2. Bamboo, woodear and celery stir fry - this dish was punched with flavor, had great umami, my only complaint was that the bamboo shoots were a bit tough 3. Hot pot stuffed tofu with pork and shrimp in abalone sauce - this was a WINNER! This dish felt like home. It was so comforting and the flavors and textures were in perfect harmony.
