Roasted pumpkin wedge ($14 AUD) very good

We had dinner b4 a show at Sydney Opera House. Searock is walking distance from SOH, and takes rezzies. Regarding the ambiance, they have indoor & outdoor dining. We chose indoor bc we were going to the show later. We both ordered steaks, and shared chips & a pumpkin wedge. The steaks were cooked as ordered, and the meat was high quality. You can choose a sauce, but I chose none. Likewise the fries were piping hot and double fried, and the pumpkin was moist and nicely seasoned. To end the meal, the affogato was perfect b4 the show. Note: There is a 10% charge for "weekend" service, but gratuity is optional. Ali was an ok waiter. He wasn't proactive, but he took care of our requests quickly. A downside to the service was the hostess tried to seat us at the worst table in the house: The one right up by the front door. I fukn hate when hostesses do this to me, esp when we had a res. The worst table in the house is for drop ins. Searock had what we were looking for: Good food near SOH, and where you can make a res. However, I would have preferred to go to newly re-opened Opera Bar that is even nearer SOH. Unfortunately, they don't take rezzies on weekends. OB was crackin b4 and after the show.

I stopped by Searock Grill while I was wandering Circular Quay one Saturday afternoon. I was seated right away with an amazing view of the harbour. I ordered fish with a side of salad, plus a glass of wine. The food was pretty good - the fish was well seasoned, but I wish I'd had a stronger dressing on the salad. The waitresses were nice, though a little negligent/distracted.

Delicious fish and chips here! Compared to America, it's lightly fried. The tartar sauce is really tasty too! :) You can sit inside or outside. Right in the Harbour. Great place to relax and grab a bite before coming/going to the Opera house orrr if you're coming from the Taronga zoo via ferry.

We walked the area for a while and settled on Searock for dinner. It's a bustling area, so not for peaceful dinners. The service was a bit lackluster. It took a while to get acknowledged, which was annoying as we watched a number of servers stand around. There are so many food options in the area, and the menu here is good. We ordered garlic bread, and landed on steaks with a bit of seafood. The ribeye was very overcooked. It was ordered medium-rare and came out on the well side. The steaks are a la carte, so any sides are extra. You do get crispy sweet potato as a garnish, and it's pretty yummy. I had the eye filet with mushroom sauce (it's so, so good). Overall, it was an okay experience. We had to flag people down to get service, which isn't my favorite. I also hate ruined steak, especially at this price point.

Ok, so bit touristy. No, no real complains. Location great. Good place to stop for food leaving the opera house. Had their octopus. Octopus was probably cooked. Had a descend Marina based sauce. Those things taste better grilled. Service fine

12/2/24 First meal in Australia. As it was bit hot we dined inside. Great staff friendly and helpful. Note if you order shrimp aka prawns they are served with head on. I ordered salad and shrimp. Only type of dressing was a lemon with oil. I tried asking for like a vinaigrette, Caesar etc no, no, no. My friend ordered steak and fries. Aussie ketchup totally different taste. It had a taste as if it was mixed with A1 steak sauce. We thought it was steak sauce but sampling other places . Nope that's how Aussie ketchup is. Drinks, can you say yuuuum. I love anything passionfruit and drinks did not disappoint. Enjoyment all around and reasonable priced.

Our group had a lunch reservation here. The restaurant is conveniently located at the Harbour. Our table was set outdoors and the weather was quite Cooperative. Our Server sat us right away and a simple menu was already awaiting us. We were to select an entre and a beverage. I chose the beef burger which came with fries and a glass of saivigon blanc. All of our orders were prepared and delivered quickly. I enjoyed my burger but shared the fries and wine with my travel mates. Everything went well and everyone said that they enjoyed their meal. The portions sizes are healthy and I note that the fish and chips looked really good.

Walked by this place and the outdoor seating on sunny late afternoon plus the happy hour sign drew us in. It is quite a good HH. We each ordered a wine and food off HH menu plus a salad. The fish & chips were very tasty and the calamari was outstanding. Calamari here seems to always come in slices rather than strips like we have in States. The side salad was also very good. The creamy feta in there was some of the best feta I've had. Honestly I didn't expect much from this place but very happy with our option. Service was friendly and quick.

Stopped in for beer and ended up eating an early dinner. Our waitress was amazing. She chose our table for us right up front so we could watch the comings & goings of Sydney Harbor. She was so helpful in helping us decide what to order. The kitchen staff was on their A game because it took almost no time to get our food! I had chicken tenders (grilled) off the kid's menu! They were THE BEST chicken tenders I've ever had! It was great to be able to eat outside in beautiful weather.... If I had to complain about something -- the seagulls trying to help patrons clean their plates is quite troublesome & unsanitary! There really should be some form of deterrent to keep them away from customers.

A nice right-next-to-the- harbour bar and grill and a good place to relax in Sydney. They have indoor and outdoor seating alongside Circular Quay, but the sun was really glaring so we sat inside. We weren't ready for a meal, but needed to slake our thirst. So water to start, a glass of house white wine (it was happy hour) and a shared bowl of chips. The chips were really good and the wine and water refreshing. We asked for ice because water is usually room temperature in Oz eateries. The menu looked like it had great potential, with steaks and seafood, but it wasn't in our plan to eat there. After a few cups of water, I finished my wine and we left before the fries were gone. They lost their appeal as they cooled, but we enjoyed them fresh from the kitchen.

We came here for dinner after a long day of sightseeing. The food was decent, not fabulous, and the restaurant was noisy. Service was good. Don't order the chocolate muffin-like cake, dry and bland.

Nice place for a meal to enjoy the view and before a show at the Opera House. Very touristy place, but I feel like a lot of the local Aussies are here for the good vibes and good food. We got there just in time for the last two outdoor tables (at 1830) before the queue began and we didn't have reservations. They have indoor seating also, but the view is better outdoors. Very nice vibes and super busy on Friday evening. We weren't super hungry so we ordered 3 raw oysters and half a rack of ribs. More than enough food! The oysters were very fresh and tasty, I should've ordered more! The half a rack had about 5-7 ribs, maybe even 8 ribs. It was more than we can eat AND we had chips! I only had 2 ribs and I was good. I love that they give us a bowl for the bones and at the end, they have a bowl of water for us to rinse our fingers. The staffs were attentive, but once they got a little busy it was a little harder to flag them down. What do you expect on a Friday night!

This is a nice place to eat by the Sydney harbor. Be prepared to spend a fair amount on a meal that you have to piece together. You can order the main meal, but any sides, salads or extras are separate. The hamburger and fries was OK for the price. The seafood curry was very nice but not really filling. Staff seemed very busy running back-and-forth, but not really asking if we needed anything throughout our meal.

We came on a Sunday at 1:00P and only had to wait 10 minutes to be seated. Most tables are on the covered outdoor patio with just a few others inside the open air setting. We started off with a raw plate to share, followed by individual entrées. + SALMON CEVICHE (A$28): Thin slices of salmon in a bright zesty citrus soy dressing, with dollops of avocado cream and lime aioli. The salmon was so smooth, buttery and super fresh. I rarely eat ceviche since I usually don't care for citrus flavors, but I enjoyed this since the salmon remained the star of the plate. + DAINTREE BARRAMUNDI FILLET GRILLED (A$38): A perfectly sized fillet was delicate, moist and didn't have any bones! The skin was grilled and crisp like a chip. Normally, I'm not a fan of skin on fish, but this was impeccable. A few cauliflower florets in a flavorful chermoula added a bold punch. I also loved the salted barra croquette, a fritter of potato and barramundi, which was fried to a golden brown and light inside. All of this was on top of a fresh mint yogurt which rounded out this very cohesive dish. Others in my group enjoyed the swordfish fillet and the fish of the day, which was a mahi mahi. Our waitress enticed us with two desserts which all of us shared as a sweet ending. + DARK CHOCOLATE PARFAIT (A$18): A rich chocolate pudding layered with Queen Garnet plums and topped with large chocolate shavings. The pudding was creamy and rich while the ripe plums added sweetness with a hint of tartness. + TOASTED COCONUT & MANGO CRUMBLE (A$16): A delightful refreshing coconut sorbet came with juicy cubes of fresh mango on top. Some granola crumbles provided crunch and substance to an otherwise light dessert. I never would have guessed this is both gluten-free and dairy-free. Our server was excellent and took wonderful care of us by checking back and keeping our waters full. We appreciated her recommendations as well. On top of the great service and delicious food, every dish had a lovely presentation and the pricing was reasonable for the quality of each plate.

Cirrus, names after the cloud like apartment that sits above it. We recommend that you all also promptly book in, it is absolutely incredible and certainly deserves all the accolades it has received. Open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week, you can sit inside or alfresco, enjoying views of our breathtaking harbour. A crisp and stylish place with minimal decor, yet it feels classy with its floor to ceiling glass. Chefs coming to you from the the Bentley, Monopole and Yellow restaurants and Chef Brent Savage has put together an array of seafood delights with incredible flavour combinations and the freshest selection of seafood, sustainably caught. Don't fret, if you have a non seafood eater amongst you, there's vegetarian and meat options as well. The waitress informed us that the dishes at Cirrus were designed to be shared. As a party of 6, she recommended 6 entrees, 6 mains and 4 sides. We ordered one less main than her recommendation and we were extremely full. The meats in particular were very generous servings. We also shared 3 desserts. We began with a few oysters, served with a vinaigrette and these were a beautiful start to our dining experience. We shared a number of starters including their famous Ocean trout with smoked beetroot and pepperberry and toast. The smoked beetroot lay atop the ocean trout mixture, almost like a starfish and the texture was simply divine. The small plate of raw Cobia (like a sashimi) with salted apple, turnip and sesame was quite refreshing. We shared two plates of the roasted King Prawns and Koji Butter. These prawns were were beautifully cooked, and a generous lashing of the butter sauce. We also really enjoyed the Fremantle octopus with kohlrabi and green chilli salsa. The octopus was super fresh, tender and nice crisp outer flavour, topped with ribbons of kohlrabi. Given Cirrus is primarily a seafood restaurant, we could go past having a number of fish for our mains. We enjoyed the the Hiramasa kingfish with grilled cucumber, buttermilk and mint. Nice and soft fish with a pleasant sauce. The cone bay barramundi was also lovely and was presented with some beautiful coils of charred onions and watercress. The roasted swordfish was another winner, served with fennel, buckwheat and bottarga. The Grilled black angus rib eye, 500 g was a big serving, and served with kombu butter, a very good comfort food choice. We ordered it medium and it was perfectly cooked to our request. The barbecued lamb neck may not be something you'd expect at a seafood restaurant but for the meat lovers amongst us, it is a brilliant dish. We shared all the sides; chips and aioli, radicchio salad, an absolutely beautiful plate of grilled asparagus with fresh curd and black olive, as well as a lovely serve of zucchini with hazelnut, yoghurt and turmeric. As for the drinks, Sommelier Nick Hildebrandt has also organised a wide selection of wines, 500 from around the world where you can get advice on the best to pair with your food selection. We chose a bottle of Riesling, which was a lovely pairing. All of this amongst 6 diners and including 3 bottles of wine and bread came to $130 each, which is pretty reasonable given the size of the servings and amount of food. If you'd prefer, the tasting menu is available for $110 each for the whole table, though we preferred to order so we could try a greater range of options. We absolutely loved dining at Cirrus and can't recommend it enough!

Compared to United States prices, I find them actually quite reasonable for very high quality steaks. The restaurant is nicely decorated; service was great. It is located in the Rock district. The oysters were good but practically all oysters in Australia are good so nothing special here; however, the stars of the show were the steaks. They offered a cut of steak called Platinum Eye of the Rump which I've not had before in US so gave that a try. It's supposed to be Wagyu beef and did not disappoint. At $79 Australian dollars, that translated to about $52 US dollars and I would say you it was well worth it. The steak was cooked perfectly medium rare and was super tender and beefy. The ribeye was a larger cut and more expensive at $110 Australian dollars or around $73 US dollars. We enjoyed the ribeye as well, but the eye of the rump stood out more. The steaks come with a choice of steak cut fries or salad so we ordered one of each. Both sides were exceptional as well. I ate at another steak restaurant in Australia where the sides were "meh" but I found these well made. Overall, I highly recommend this steak restaurant.

Service was mostly good but oddly slow in a few spots, the wine list was on iPad, and our pomme puree (mashed potatoes) came quite late. Steak was very good. MB7+ tomahawk is a terrific presentation, perfectly cooked to your specification, and described in detail. If you want the very highest quality (MB9) unfortunately thay was not on the menu when we visited, but it was surprisingly difficult find higher than MB7 on the regular menu of any of their competitors so I digress...
