Large and relaxed atmosphere whether it's quiet or a busy Thursday night.

You can't help but think there's not a whole lot to say about a food court; BUT this is Sydney's Westfield flagship centre where the options are more gourmet and there's lots to choose from. From hotdogs at Snag Stand to 5 star Chinese dumplings at Din Tai Fung. There's lots in between which you'll see for yourself when you come here. The ambient lighting and entire floor plan design adds to the whole experience. This is why "Food on 5" gets a 5 rating from me.

Just stunning luxury and opulence. Some of my favourites include Streets of Saigon, Din tai Fung and for the sweet stuff: Via Del Corso. Sensational vegetable and taro dumplings at Din Tai Fung. The mint iced tea was stunning at the time. The ice creams at Via Del Corso - yummo! Just watch oout n a Saturday afternoon, it can really busy here. Waiting for Westfield Sydney to open (after Pitt Street Mall was a construction site for a bit of time) was oh so worth it :)

It appears the days of the food court with the generic-looking cafés, serving unappealing "refreshments", are well and truly over! That's if the Food on Five food court is anything to go by! Whatever cuisine you're after, you probably won't be disappointed. I'm not going to go into details on each individual stand, but if you want anything from Rueben sandwiches to sushi, hot dogs to world famous dumplings, then get yourself up the numerous escalators! Obviously it gets pretty busy at lunch time, as you would expect, so you may want to know what you want before you head up there otherwise you may spend your whole lunch break deciding! I'm not sure every shopping centre will be taking this approach with its food courts, but it's certainly a step up from grabbing a sole-of-your-shoe burger from *insert name of inferior shopping centre food court here*

I highly recommend Food on Five Food Court. Being dependent on an electric wheelchair went I venture outdoors my choice of food venues is very limited, as accessability issues arise in most cafés and resturants are not very accessible for people with mobility problems, unless you are prepared to sit outside. However Food on Five foodcourt is like a paradise!! I love the place!! With a wide variety of food venues, it's open and spacious with great ambience. Food prices vary from high cost to low cost which means that most people will find a suitable price range for the choice of food. I have tried various dishes from the selection of food venues there and have found all of them very tasty and affordable. I love the diverscity of different people and their choice of food, and love to go there to relax and enjoy. So all you people out there with mobility issues please do come and enjoy this space.!!

How did I JUST discover the food court where all that is amazing joins culinary forces in one small area? This is the 5th floor food court in the Westfield shopping center up from Pitt Street. With Din Tai Fung's amazing dumpling bar, Snag Stand's gourmet sausages, Guzman y Gomez's tortilla wrapped spicy delights, and the sinful gelato at Via Del Curso, you really, really, really can't go wrong. I sought out this food land; I had heard tales of all the greatness it contained. And man did it deliver. The only downfall here is that you're going to have to deal with some severe indecision. Be easy on yourself. Start one stall at a time and work your way counter clockwise until you've seen everything. Don't make any rash decisions. Take your time. If all else fails, dedicate your day to eating in shifts. Just whatever you do, just don't miss the Din Tai Fung pork buns. Just don't do it.

Fun place for all...the only problem is too many choices. Fun, fresh, unique dining experience...not your typical food court!

Pretty good, if expensive, food court. It gets crazy busy at lunch time, so get there early or don't bother.

I barely finish it I give it five because it's a dining experience you need to try to understand why it's a five star dungeon Happy eats btw the laksa looks and smells spicy and Devine!!!

From the street, it doesn't look like much. A generic, nondescript arcade in Sydney's CBD. Even if…read moreyou are bored enough to walk through it, it doesn't look like too much. There's a Japanese grocery store (which is actually pretty good, one of only a couple of Japanese grocery places in the CBD), a generic sushi joint, a Japanese fragrance place and a mobile phone shop. There's also an entrance to the Town Hall Woolworths at the end of the arcade, and ultimately Town Hall station. However, towards the end of the arcade there's some stairs leading to a basement level. Again, until you look down them, it doesn't seem like there's much down there. If you decide to decend the stairs, you are greeted with a crowded food court packed with office workers, mainly Asian. The food court is not huge, there's only seven stalls, all serving a different Asian cuisine. There's Chinese, Malaysian, Thai, Japanese, Vietnamese, Nepalese and Burmese on offer, and it's all at bargain basement (excuse the pun) prices. The Malaysian stall has a lot of fans, but i'm sure the others are all good too. Nb: It's only open on weekdays (as it serves lunching office workers) for lunch.
