Carne Asada Wet Burrito
Naly S.

Ample parking, lots of seating inside and drive through option. Their menu has a wide selection of items- with even a breakfast menu on the side. They have a sauce bar in the middle of the establishment with lots to choose from and to go containers. Their sauces were really tasty! I got a little of each, and didn't find any too overly spicy. They added a nice tang and were fragrant. I got the wet burrito with carne asada. The carne asada in the burrito was finely chopped up throughout the burrito. This made the texture a little unfavorable. I'm curious to how the other meat options are cut up for the burrito. The burrito had a ton of rice and seasonings, with a very creamy sauce on top. Flavor wise the burrito was just okay. The service though was great. The person taking our order was very kind and recommended options that were popular and what meats would go well with the ones we chose. Overall I think they give pretty large portions overall minus the meat, but my burrito was huge. This is probably a good spot for quick affordable eats with friends to dine in or to pick up for a hangout. We got to the restaurant maybe around 9 pm or so and there were a few folks dining in and a few folks coming to pick up their orders. It was pretty quiet in the restaurant with no music playing when we arrived.

Carne Asada Burrito and sauces

I ordered their Carne Asada Burrito to go. The beef was cut small and did not have much flavor. What saved the burrito for me were their sauces as all 5 of them were delicious. Staff were friendly and extremely helpful as this was my first time.

Found rocks or maybe broken tile in my breakfast Chorizo and Egg Burrito. Incredibly foul almost chipped my tooth

Horrifying place found rocks or broken granite in my burrito. Praying to Christ I don't get sick

Something spikey.

This was in my burrito. It's hard and very pokey and got stuck to my gums and cut it. When I told them the manager was on the phone talking like I was a baby repeating himself as I'm talking saying "what was in the burrito. What was in the burrito what was in the burrito". We brought it in and he refunded for the burrito but I asked for an horchata and he just stared and then said no as if I was the problem and needed to leave. Very shitty, very unprofessional and they do not care.

My fav. Flavorful, whole fish. Great price. Not greasy. 10/10. Fast. Love the menudo too.

Breakfast. Huevos Rancheros with sausage links. It was very good.

Hands down the absolute best huevos rancheros anywhere around here. The ambiance is very nice, clean, fresh, attractive, the food is great. Try the huevos rancheros, or the pozole.

Chorizo burrito (top) and hash brown aka sausage burrito (bottom). Disappointing.
Kristin R.

Disappointing. The breakfast burritos don't live up to the hype. Ordered a sausage breakfast burrito and it might has well been a hash brown burrito with a sprinkling of sausage and egg. I opened it and pulled out more than 50% of the hash browns. Flavor overall was bland. It would have benefited from some fresh ingredients--pico, onions, cilantro, sour cream...something. Husband had the chorizo burrito and his protein:hash brown ratio was better but still predominantly hash browns. We probably won't be back. We'll go into Portland for a better breakfast burrito when the craving strikes.

They make a really good breakfast burrito. I concur that Don Pedro is far better than Muchos Gracias.

I ordered the chips and salsa as well as the machete. The machete was half and half with lengua (tongue) and suadero. Given the price, I was expecting something large and they absolutely delivered on that. It was well cooked, the lengua had a nice flavor to it, and I appreciated the hot sauces available on the table. The decor inside is very nice, however, when I went in the restaurant had a scent of bathroom cleaning products. Not just a fresh or clean smell, but that scent you get from those overly scented chemical products. To be honest, that was the only downside. If it wasn't so strong and overpowering, I don't think I would have given anything less than five stars. The food is absolutely amazing, the portions are awesome, and the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend going here and getting the food and I will absolutely be back.

Spanish speaking staff. Warm chips and good salsa. Decent rice and beans. The not so good: taco shells were not made on site, seem to be from a package. The margarita was not tasty, the mix was off and the house tequila was not so good. I could only finish half of it. Being my first time, I asked for her recommendation from the hostess on what to order? Instead of rising to the occasion, she immediately said I don't eat meat then proceeded to tell me about all the high dollar meat items. lol I could not take her recommendation to heart. I went with a somewhat safe bet of two crunchy tacos. The rice and beans were decent. The shells were crispy but flavorless. The salsa and chips were decent. The chips were warm. I finished the two tacos half the margarita and left. Would I go back here again? Probably not, with so many places to eat in this area, but I had to give it a shot. I overheard the table next to me complaining about their fajitas. The gentleman said "this is just Chuck steak" and I had to laugh out loud before I left. Disclaimer. I live in San Diego and judge Mexican food for its face value. I was not impressed. But maybe be i was there on an off night?

How could it get any better than that? Well, they certainly know how to waste the advantage. Time for them to move on... First, the place is filthy. That's just simply it. It's gross dirty. Tables are sticky and filmy. Food on the floor. It smells badly inside. They always have a significant wait but 1/2 their tables are empty. The staff is just terrible. Honestly, they turn staff over constantly. Once in a while you get a newbie that is friendly for a tip but it's just sad. The food isn't even mediocre. It's gross. HORRIBLY OVERPRICED. HORRIBLY. The portions are poor. Chips & salsa is disappointing. Drinks are all ice and filler. Just junk. The place is run down, gross, HORRIBLE lighting.
