To start off with, I have been to Victorico's two other times and that was the one on Fourth Plain Blvd., in the Couve. I was both times disappointed with them. Feel free to read my other review at that location. However, this is a brand new restaurant that opened maybe a year ago? Anyhow, it's located near our church that my husband and I attend. So, after the Church Service, I was really craving a Chile Relleno Burrito. Thus, I decided to give this new location a try. Wow! I am glad I did. The Chile Relleno is of good quality. I did not care for the refried beans in my Burrito, but since then I learned you can ask for Whole Pinto Beans, since their Vegan Burrito has that in them. :-) Also what I really liked was the Avocado Salsa! Yum!!! It's one of the better ones I ever had! Also, their Chunky (Red) Salsa is very good! The Chipotle red salsa and the Green salsa were okay. Not as good as the Chunky (monkey) Salsa or Avocado Salsa. They also have pickled onions and carrots, as well as Radishes at their Salsa Bar. Some great choices to put on your Burritos or Tacos. The Chile Relleno came with a little Enchilada Sauce on it, which made it even more note worthy, since that's what I like to put on my homemade Chile Rellenos, when I make them at home. :-) I love to cook, but only when time allows and/or when I feel like it! I also appreciate that they offer "Whole Wheat Flour Tortillas" for your Burrito options. The only reason I deducted a Star, was that the last time I went to get a Takeout order, they did not give me as many Avocado Salsas to go, as I had asked for. I saw they did not offer the Chunky (red) Salsa to go. So, when I asked the young lady working the counter for some containers with lids to go, she was try to sell me a bigger side order of Chunky (Red) Salsa. When I told her I only needed a couple of small plastic containers with a lid (they don't offer them at their Salsa Bar), she stated I needed to take the Dine In containers, which had no lids. Of course, I did and when I got to my car, the two small paper containers with no lids, popped up and spilled all over my pants and part of my car, which I had opened the door. Dag nabbit!!! I was really upset about that...I didn't bother to say anything to them, since the counter lady was young and probably did not know any better. Next time I am going to insist they give me a couple of to-go tiny containers with lids for my Takeout. It would have saved me all the trouble of having to wash my car door! Other than that issue, I will gladly return for their Chile Relleno either on the side or in a Burrito. Now, with that said, I am still on the quest of finding the BEST Chile Relleno Burrito...So far, I have not found it in the 'Couve. I will be venturing out to Portland, Oregon for that! read more
