This was a delivery order. The order was incorrect. Taquitos weren't Taquitos. Think they were flautas. One order was carne asada burrito and the other shredded beef chimichanga with no rice. Neither was labeled and they looked exactly the same. Cutting into them revealed they could have been interchangeable. Tasted the same and mostly rice, lots of tortilla, little meat. I read about this restaurant in a Facebook group (Dining In the Couve) and was encouraged to visit. They are right by all of the construction downtown, so I had heard business was slow for them and wanted to show some support and try a new Mexican place. What a sleeper!! Outstanding service! Our host sat us and brought us chips and salsa quickly, then within a few minutes we actually had one of the owners, Josè, come by and ask how we heard about the place and take our drink orders. He explained that this is their second location (first one is in West Linn), they don't use any MSG or frozen food, and they only have one fried dish on their menu. We ordered house margaritas and taquitos from the happy hour menu, and the molcajete. Everything was fresh and delicious! We got a 2nd round of margaritas, they make their own mix in house and they were so tasty! We went at 5pm, so they weren't super busy yet, but there were still quite a few tables filled. First time there the other night for happy hour. We were surprised that there was hardly anybody else in there at 4:30 PM . the food was good. The drinks were a little overpriced but nice and strong. The server and the owner came over about a million times to check on us. It was sort of strange, I don't know if they were feeling like we should order more food or what... probably every 5-8 minutes someone came over to ask us if we needed anything, and each time, they were interrupting one of us in the middle of a sentence. La Fiesta on Main is one of our favorites places to dine at. My husband vacation in Mexico annually. We've been to the Mexican states of Jalisco, Nayarit, Baja California, and Quinrana Roo. So we know what good Mexican food tastes like. As a military family, we've lived, and traveled to, several states, including California, Arizona, and Texas. All border states that have excellent Mexican food. The Chili Verde and the Beef Sirloin fajitas at La Fiesta, are the best we've ever had. The flavors are delicious, and the meat is tender. The service is excellent. Prices are higher than most Mexican restaurants in Vancouver, but the ingredients are fresh, and the quality if the food is outstanding! All of that, plus a lovely ambience. Stopped in to La Fiesta for the first time this afternoon for lunch and it was absolutely delicious! From the complementary chips and salsa to the drinks (strawberry lemonade, berry Red Bull mocktail) to the food (enchiladas verdes with chicken, steak à la parrilla), everything was so good! The menu is massive and definitely has something for everyone including breakfast until 2:30pm, a Taco Tuesday menu, and lunch specials. We had no room for dessert but will be trying some of those next time. Our server was also super nice and attentive and our food came out quickly. This stop way more than I was expecting! We came in for dinner on a Sunday night. The massive interior was empty. I was a little nervous, but was soon having a great meal experience. The service was great and we got a nice table by the window. I tried the cucumber margarita and it was smooth and had a little zing to it. I'm glad I got the small because the large is MASSIVE! We tried a few dishes and they were all good. The soups were a highlight. On a cold rainy night, the grilled chicken tortilla soup was just the right thing. Craving Mexican food while in Portland one evening, I decided to make the journey a bit up north to Vancouver, WA to give La Fiesta On Main a try and I'll admit, while it wasn't quite hitting my expectations overall, I was still left satisfied. These guys have a cool atmosphere, that's for sure! These second you walk in, you'll love the spacious and simply modern ambiance inside. The service was decent and we were greeted very nicely and promptly right after walking in which was nice. Now, the food itself claims to be completely made out of fresh or organic ingredients which means the pricing will be reflected. It wasn't the cheapest option around the area and almost similar to prices down in California. At $20+ you'd also expect the food to taste great too but I honestly thought my chicken enchilada was mediocre and alright, nothing amazing. My mom did enjoy her veggie enchiladas a lot more however. Maybe I'm just spoiled by the great Mexican food I get in Southern California but it didn't quite hit the spot in terms of taste. The flavors and portions were average or slightly above if I'll be honest. They don't even serve complimentary salsa and chips which was a total bummer for me! Like c'mon, I found that a bit unreasonable especially for the location. All in all, don't be completely dissuaded by my views as I truly consider myself a bit more spoiled with the awesome Mexican food I'm constantly around in Southern California. If the prices would be a bit more reasonable for what this restaurant offered, I would be more inclined to come back. Best margaritas I have had since moving here from Texas. No joke. Also the folks running the place are very nice and the service is good.

I went and had lunch at La Fiesta on Main last week. At first I was happy with the experience, food and service were good. When I got my check I left a 20% tip, which is a good tip. Two days later I received a message from my credit card company seeing if I meant to leave a 44% tip, which I did not leave that amount. I called the restaurant and spoke with a female worker and she took my information and said she would call me back. That never happened. I called back the next day and asked to speak to the manager. A gentleman got on the phone and said he was the owner. He said that "he was just going to call me". He said he looked into it and that the server made one key stroke wrong when entering in the tip amount. I told him that was impossible because the amount that it was changed to would have taken multiple wrong key strokes. I told him that it is obvious it was intentional. He denied it and said that he would only give me the money back on the overage amount of the tip. I told him that was not acceptable. I told him I would like a refund on my whole bill due to the fact that they were stealing money and trying to get away with it. I told him that this experience has been horrible and I lost all trust in his restaurant. He finally agreed to refund my bill. Well not surprised he never refunded me my bill or the amount that they stole from me. This is not an owner anyone should support. Took zero accountability for an employee stealing and lied about it. So glad to have a sit-down full-menu Mexican restaurant in downtown Vancouver! We have plenty of excellent fast casual taco/burrito joints & food trucks, so La Fiesta on Main, with their huge menu is a welcome addition. The decor is quite snazzy & beautiful, too, with a sleek bar and all kinds of interesting & beautiful tequila bottles lining the wall. They have a huge cocktail menu, and a dizzying array of tequilas, so if you're a tequila fan, this is the place! Service was friendly, and our food came out quick. Their house-made salsa is excellent and they give you a small complimentary serving of chips & salsa after you're seated. I'm not sure if refills of the chips & salsa are free, however, as they do list chips & salsa on the menu currently for $3, so you may want to ask if you want a refill. The Hubs had the steak fajitas, which he enjoyed, and I had Patty's Grilled Chicken Enchiladas, which come with refried beans, and it was all delicious. On any of the dishes that come with refried beans they do give you an option of having whole black beans instead of refried beans for a small upcharge. They also have a breakfast menu, which is a plus, but they don't open until 11a each day, so it's more of a brunch option. Prices for some of the options are a bit higher than what you might expect, but given their prime downtown location, lovely decor, and the fact food prices everywhere are on the rise, it's to be expected. read more

We had Cucumber and Cadillac Margatitas, a Pina colada(made me feel like I was on a beach), fish tacos(from there large lunch special menu that goes until 2pm), a fiesta burrito with carne asada that melted in your mouth. Not to mention the chips and salsa we started with had amazing flavor and spice. Also the service Ivan provided was top notch! We enjoyed our time and were spoiled every step of the way. Update: Our first visit everything was amazing and delicious! Our second time, everything was still good, except the steak in our fajitas and the new dessert. The steak has a lot of fat and has a weird texture, plus it doesn't taste that great. And the new dessert Pan de Elote I thought would be like the sweet corn that I used to love at Mexican restaurants, but sadly, it was just a barely sweet cornbread that tasted mediocre ave the edges were crusty. Loved the music playing...festive and fun. The chicken in our Flautas was tender and nicely seasoned. The steak street tacos also tender and perfectly spiced. The margaritas are made with fresh lime and agave, no premade mix. Our server advised that they'll be opening a 2nd floor soon, and there's a possibility of tequila tastings with a membership in the near future. They have over 200 tequilas at the bar. I was craving a margarita with chips & guacamole so we decided to finally check out this new downtown spot - and it checked all the boxes! They have an extensive menu with items you'd expect and then more traditional options that not all places have. Their drinks and apps are definitely the stars - all 3 drinks were incredible. There was a little back and forth about figuring out what to get that was dairy free, and they came up with the most delicious veggie quesadilla. The veggies were broccoli, 2 kinds of peppers, onion, spinach, tomato, celery & zucchini. Amazing. And they even set me up with a spinach tortilla because the regular one has milk in it. My wife and I love supporting local businesses and I am so glad that she reminded me to help out our Main St restaurants that are dealing with the road work. Tonight we got to try out this new comer to Main and it did not disappoint! It replaced The Main Event and it looks completely different inside! Open, bright, vibrant... it's a completely new place with a new feel and it is so welcoming. The staff is amazing and on top of everything from the minute we walked in to finishing our first chips/salsa while we took forever to decide what to eat (it all sounds so good!). We ordered from their mocktail menu to start since we are notoriously indecisive when we're hungry and at a new place. The drinks were delicious and beautifully presented.... And if I could get my hands on the drink garnishes, oh man. Dried/preserved mango slice and passion fruit slice (two different drinks). Tasty. I ordered off character based on what the menu said was a "must" (Trio Molcajete). I have no regrets. It has chicken, steak, and shrimp (all cooked perfectly) in a super duper tasty sauce (served with well flavored rice/beans/cheese). It was delicious and I'm so glad I tried something new. We ordered catering for 40 people (a corporate celebration) and Jose and his team fully delivered! The food was amazing. They set it up beautifully and made sure everything was heated correctly to ensure it stayed fresh during the span of the event. After the event ended, they came back to collect the serving dishes and were in and out in less than 20 minutes. Pleasantly surprised by this new (to us) spot! Food was delicious. Good ingredients and well made. I got the bacon wrapped shrimp burrito and it did not disappoint. Seems like the chips and salsa were homemade and also very delicious. We went at dinner time so I figured it would be busier than it was. Maybe because it's newer? I hadn't realized the previous restaurant in its place had closed, so this is a nice place and we will be back! Only reason I didn't give 5 stars was I clearly asked for no cilantro. Sadly I'm one of those folks who can't eat it; I'm sure they hear that often. But I'd made that request (even chatted about it with the server) and they did leave it out of my main dish. However, they also brought over guacamole to say sorry for making us wait... which was a very nice gesture... we didn't feel we waited... but it was covered in cilantro.
