Ample parking, lots of seating inside and drive through option. Their menu has a wide selection of items- with even a breakfast menu on the side. They have a sauce bar in the middle of the establishment with lots to choose from and to go containers. Their sauces were really tasty! I got a little of each, and didn't find any too overly spicy. They added a nice tang and were fragrant. I got the wet burrito with carne asada. The carne asada in the burrito was finely chopped up throughout the burrito. This made the texture a little unfavorable. I'm curious to how the other meat options are cut up for the burrito. The burrito had a ton of rice and seasonings, with a very creamy sauce on top. Flavor wise the burrito was just okay. The service though was great. The person taking our order was very kind and recommended options that were popular and what meats would go well with the ones we chose. Overall I think they give pretty large portions overall minus the meat, but my burrito was huge. This is probably a good spot for quick affordable eats with friends to dine in or to pick up for a hangout. We got to the restaurant maybe around 9 pm or so and there were a few folks dining in and a few folks coming to pick up their orders. This was in my burrito. It's hard and very pokey and got stuck to my gums and cut it. When I told them the manager was on the phone talking like I was a baby repeating himself as I'm talking saying "what was in the burrito. What was in the burrito what was in the burrito". We brought it in and he refunded for the burrito but I asked for an horchata and he just stared and then said no as if I was the problem and needed to leave. I was not impressed with Don Pedros and in fact it was the worst mexican food I have ever had and I have eaten at a lot of restaurants and all over the states. The carne Asada was fatty and tough, the refried beans were old as if they were sitting out for a long time and the rice tasted weird. They put a salad with it if you could call it that, it was clearly past it's prime with very little salad dressing on it. The birria looked like it came from a dog food can. I was in the area and decided to have tacos for lunch. My standard Pastor tacos that I always order with a side of beans. Food was good but I always look at other criteria for my personal satisfaction such as the condiments and salsa selection. Disappointing. The breakfast burritos don't live up to the hype. Ordered a sausage breakfast burrito and it might has well been a hash brown burrito with a sprinkling of sausage and egg. I opened it and pulled out more than 50% of the hash browns. Flavor overall was bland. It would have benefited from some fresh ingredients--pico, onions, cilantro, sour cream...something. Husband had the chorizo burrito and his protein:hash brown ratio was better but still predominantly hash browns. We probably won't be back. We'll go into Portland for a better breakfast burrito when the craving strikes. read more

Their food has gone downhill. The Mexican quesadilla had round pebble cheese that was dry and disgusting! The burritos are half the size and no longer fresh and fluffy. They're flat and fried in lard. Potatoes overcooked and food slapped together.... Food is not made with pride.... Very disappointing! Wow, on Keto and went to Don Pedro! Carne Asada, beef fajitas, with a side of guacamole, no rice, chips, beans, or tortillas! Brought the food home and made chips out of the Costco Crepini egg thins. The gals that work there were awesome with suggestions and big smiles. Be sure to get their flavorful fresh sauces! The food has to be THE BEST IN VANCOUVER! so I never really had problem with my food ever here they're usually super nice but today Oct. 29 2023 I ordered 2 breakfast burritos, 1 sausage with avocado and sour cream, and the other a Bacon add sausage and sour cream. I get home and they charged me for what I ordered but i open my burrito and there was no bacon, just 2 sausage burritos. so I call and they tell me to come with my receipt, so I do and after explaining they get someone else to come tell me that they can give me the side of bacon only. ill just stuff it in the burrito myself then. thanks for your services! I'm not impressed. The menu says that the taquito (or rolled taco) plate comes with four taquitos. My husband, daughter, and I each received only three on our plates. My daughter and I ordered chicken taquitos and we each received two chicken and one beef taquito. My husband ordered beef taquitos and received two chicken and a beef...seriously? I have minimal expectations when I walk into fast food establishments; however, I do expect our orders to be accurate and to provide the serving size described on the menu. DON PEDRO!!! this was my FAVORITE taco place in Vancouver / Portland area. I found it on accident when I first moved to Vancouver and instantly fell in love forever. REASON # 1- the inside looks like a jungle! REASON # 2- their tacos are authentic and amazing, personally I think the carnitas and asada is to DIE for. The chicken is my least favorite but it's still yummy. I also love their asada fajitas. They are spicy and have great flavor. I would suggest only ordering the fajitas if you are eating there because they are really juicy so getting them for take out is really messy and hard to eat. Their Chicken taquitos are also good! E side of NE Highway 99 between NE Minnehaha and NE 68th St. Counter Service type restaurant This place is not difficult to find at all... just look for the big a$$ single story building that is mostly red with an orange roof with the names off various Mexican specialties written in large white letters on the side of the roof. Normally I would dole out 5 stars to this spot easily, however my last visit was less than spot on like they normally are. I guess I was just a victim of poor choice... at least for most of the items. I've been here many many times because.... let's face it... I love the place and it kind of reminds me of back home in Southern California. Their menu is quite expansive and they always feature Daily Specials... which can also include products with Mole! I don't want to name names but if you've ever said "why can't we find Mexican food like back home up here?" you pretty much need to go to this place NOW. While I have yet to achieve my new life goal of eating every dish on the Don Pedro menu, here's what I've had so far.... Ceviche Tostada? Excellent. Taco De Pollo? I keep wanting to take a star away from my review because they don't have it Pollo Asado style, but I can't. This taco was still a hella-yummy and I can't punish it for not being something else. Carne Asada? Delish. Nicely cooked, and had a peppery quality that was pleasantly surprising. But their Tacos de Lengua? So tender, so good, and true proof that one of the best things about Tacos De Lengua is not only do you get to french kiss your meal with every bite, but when you taste it? It tastes you back.
